After speaking to Ella, at Gardners Bakery on the Harborough Road, I was very impressed with with her very positive "can do" approach, and decided to order a cake for my wife's 50th birthday. Ella ensured the cake I ordered was securely packaged, as I was going to be transporting it to a holiday destination, and the family dog Leo was within sniffing distance of it the whole way there!! When my wife opened the cake, she was extremely pleased and I knew my decision had been vindicated. Many thanks to all the staff at Gardners. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone whose looking for a cake for a special occasion.

My wife bought me a 70th birthday cake from Gardners, and whoever made the cake with my Kawasaki GT750 Trike on the top has produced a masterpiece in designing it perfectly, even got my glasses under my helmet. Thank you very much, and our guests loved it very much. Graeme

We ordered a three tier cake for our wedding in April. Everyone at Gardners was helpful and informative about what they could offer and they were very quick to respond. We had samples from them to try and these were delicious. They even provided a gluten free cupcake in the same style as our wedding cake for one of our guests. The cake on the day went down really well with all our guests who all said it was delicious and it looked stunning. Thank you Gardners Bakery for your incredible service!

We had our 3 tier cake from here and cookie favours for our wedding on 18/09/2021. It was a very strange time booking in during covid times but the bakery were very accommodating. They gave us samples to take home and there was never any pressure to book. We went for the 3 tier Dior design and had lots of lovely compliments from our guests about how tasty it was and how beautiful it looked. The cookies were also a hit as they were personalised and looked so lovely with our name and personalised to our wedding colours. They were the perfect favours and very reasonably priced! Thank you ladies for the perfect cake and cookies!

We went in today to confirm our decision for our wedding cake. Staff were lovely and felt very safe. Very good covid secure procedures in place. We left with a bag full of cake, all different flavours and a wedding favour cookie. I had my fiance's birthday cake made by Gardners and it was beautiful. Have been buying bread and baked goods and ordering celebration cakes, cookies and cupcakes for as long as I can remember. The staff are friendly & helpful, and any time i have contacted them i have always had a quick response. The celebration cakes go above and beyond my expectations - I am very specific and fussy about how I want thing to look and they never fail to disappoint with their attention to detail, and ability to recreate even the most bizzare of requests! And if that isnt enough they always taste amazing! My families firm favourite is their iconic pink and white angel cake, but i cant deny that my favourites are their Lemon, Chocolate and Red Velvet cakes! And if you havent tried them - their cookies are to die for (and i cant believe they are vegan too!). Its getting embarrassing how many occasions i have to keep making up to order them!! Thank you for always exceeding my expectations - I cant wait for my next round of goodies from you!

This is a fantastic bakery but the best thing is obviously their cakes I have had 1 of their cakes for my birthday nearly every year from the age of 1 only missing about 3 birthdays in total from memory This is the only thing i ask for on my birthday I do not need presents i want a yummy cake! Cannot praise these guys enough. We found Gardeners on google and Helen was amazing from day 1. Great service and incredible cakes (they easily rival Hockleys). My only disappointment was not getting an even bigger cake - we didn't get to try the lemon as guests liked the cake so much it had all disappeared! Just as well we sneakily saved the chocolate top tier... If you need a reliable, reasonable, professional, and fantastic cake supplier, look no further.

AMAZING!!! So talented I sent over a picture of my partners Porsche and asked them to make it into a cake for me for his 30th birthday party. Gardners made us a selection of sandwiches, cakes and treats for a surprise afternoon tea for my Mum. It was amazing value and all tasted incredible, it was better than afternoon tea's we've paid a fortune for.

They make some really good fresh cream cake. But the regular iced cakes are a disappointment. The decorations and designs of the cake are great. But the fondant and icing is way too sweet to even digest. I ordered a cake for my b'day yesterday and I can't even go anywhere near it. Fondant is sweet as always added to the icing that tastes like chugging a whole box of sugar. Had to take of all the icing off before eating. Sweetest thing I've ever tasted. Took one bite and it's making me feel sickly; same reaction I got from the other people who ate the cake :( truly disappointed. I always order cake from this bakery but it was a total disappointment. Don't think I would want to buy another cake from here.

Gardners have provided buffets for us for various celebrations over the past couple of years, the latest being for our daughter's baby shower. The food is always fresh, well presented and plentiful. They have also provided us with many beautiful and delicious celebration cakes over the years .
