Justin is a fantastic tutor and my group of friends enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at his studio. Although novices, we managed to produce some beautiful bowls that we will treasure. I can thoroughly recommend a session for fun, inspiration and the opportunity to find out more about the art and craft of throwing.

We had such a great laugh with Justin :) He is a brilliant teacher and the 3 hours we had booked in flew by. After a quick bit of tuition he lets you get stuck into making your own clay pots under his guidance. I can imagine kids absolutely loving the class but our party of thirty-somethings also got a huge amount out of it (including our own pottery creations). One of the best things on holiday I've ever done. Highly recommend if you're down in Cornwall.

My friend and I booked a session with Justin as complete novices. He showed us some of his amazing work and guided us through the process of using the wheel and throwing the clay. We loved it and made some interesting stuff. But the day was made by Justin’s fantastic personality and sense of humour. This didn’t feel like attending a paid for experience, but instead like going to a friends house and having fun!

The pottery class was an interesting, creative and fun experience. my daughter and I have been guided through the process of making pottery in a supportive and cooperative way. Justin is an excellent potter and an encouraging teacher who creates a great working and creative atmosphere. It was a very memorable day.
I would highly recommend this workshop.

We decided to have a go at pottery while on holiday in Cornwall and this could not have been a better introduction. Justin Hallawell who runs the studio is a patient, entertaining and experienced teacher who is also an artist in his own right. We spent some three hours learning, chatting and laughing, as well as making five beautiful creations between us. Perhaps best of all is waiting for the the glazed and fired items to arrive. A complete treat.

Despite being the least talented pottery wise in our group this was amazing fun. Justin is very friendly and helpful, and it was a really enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend to all!

Super fun family morning on the wheels. Justin was enthusiastic and gave great tuition so we all managed to make several pieces each. Can't wait to see how they turn out after being fired.
