I was truly amazed at the speed and efficiency from Ocean Finance, right from the moment that my online application was accepted (within just a few minutes) until the arrival of my PIN and credit card which sensibly, arrived separately. That process was thoroughly backed up with informative Emails throughout, however, not to the extent that those Emails were bothersome. All in all, a gratifying experience and one that I have no issues whatsoever in highly recommending.

The application process was easy and accepted instantly. The main issue was the postal service, which was the main letdown, where I had to order another card and pin as these didn't arrive. To resolve this, Ocean support was quick and easy, new card and pin sorted quickly. Just wish the postal service was sufficient as Ocean! Overall, clear, concise and easy.

With a not so good Credit Score Ocean Finance offered me a credit card with a reasonable limit. I couldn't believe myself. I kept receiving helpful emails detailing how it works and information on when my credit card will be delivered. Credit card and the pin arrived even earlier than scheduled and setting it up was the easiest. I was able to use my card the same day I received and set it up. There was meant to be a limit of £1200 but when it came it was only £200 I would never have bothered with it if I had known it was only that amount not that I would use it but knowing it’s there for emergency is nice but wrong information isn’t a nice or proper way to conduct business

Reasonable process, straight forward application and data requests. Kept me informed throughout, and pre-approval success! Once approved, card, passcode and all other documents forwarded within 7 days, also use of, App, does help, I can my account in detail. Downside, the hard search does affect your credit rating, reference agencies assume your looking to extend your outgoings, and don't consider your need for flexibility.

There are a few things that could be tweaked mainly in the app but that is something ocean will have to talk to capital one about I do have a capital one credit card as well so its the same things 1st is having the ability to have free paper statements 2nd also setting my own credit alert if I fall below a certain amount 3rd offer a free credit score and report in app 4th a faster payment and balance update I.e having 2 days for payments to show on the account is to long in my opinion 5th having a personalised card would be brilliant and unique like having your own photo 6th after 12 months of having the account and if you've made payments on time and in full every month upgrading the account with perks would be great 7th credit limit reviews more frequent 8th I no its a credit building account but having some kind of rewards in place for customers who pay on time and in full all the time people starting out for the first time or repairing their credit like to have some sort of incentive 9th having in app chat with uk bassed agents would also be an advantage 10th having more in app options to add open banking to my current account it don't work for some reason 11th safety net put money aside for an emergency or offer saving pots om sure I can think of loads more but at the moment I like ocean because its the same as my capital one credit card

This company has been around for a long while.. I can remember back to when you could see a British Steel company logo flying high on the North side of CHICAGO, USA. Around the same time the American Express credit card company was founded!! All being navigated half way across the world by ....... G. E. C. the leaders in the World at electrical products such as pioneer, amstrad etc,, like I say after American Expres on the return the capital one banking was setup/founded, I think, off the top of my head was at Preston somewhere. Could be right but I Could be wrong. Then after Capital one banking came the Ocean finance company within the last 10-15years.. That's my reason for waiting such a long time for me to reopen a credit card account. Think from my point of view was a simplified version of opening a credit account..
