I've always found the staff very helpful - for example the ceramics bin wasn't open but the staff member took the tiles and put them in a secure area. It's a shame more care isn't taken by some users - not emptying polystyrene from cardboard boxes contaminates the whole skip, likewise plastic bags with garden rubbish. I think the staff do a good job sometimes under difficult circumstances - not easy asking a user what's in the bag, so it goes in the right skip / container.

All the men were so helpful.. I have a" Dicky heart" and a big young man with curly hair lifted all the heavy stuff.... Went out of his way to help. ...... Top marks to him and all the staff a ypung man with curlyhm ir was really so helpful...

Visiting from Essex where I am a well known connoisseur of tips, I have to say this is one of the finest tips I have ever come across. Not too busy and very welcoming and helpful staff. Will definitely return. Btw he is William, not Steven and doesn’t share my view but he doesn’t get out a lot

Wow amazing. Last week we had to do 10 runs to the recycling centre, over 4 days. There were no queues. Staff were very helpful. Easy to access the skips. No waiting around. Easy to follow sign posts.

Well organised and laid out. Staff very friendly. Obviously can’t help unload with COVID which is understandable. Can’t complain other than it can get busy so you have to queue but that’s not their fault. No prebooking which is a bonus.

Very much a do-it-yourself experience - you get ton heave you own waste down into open containers. Reversing into parking spaces in front of them is a bit fraught, with people coming and going in vehicles full of waste with poor visibility. Also it's not easy to get a space that's close to the bin that's designed for you kind of waste. Remember to bring ID, too (a driving licence will do it). They sometimes ask for this to insure you aren't from outside the area covered by the Council. Also, you have to fill out a form if you are going to use a van to dump domestic waste at the domestic tip. The service at the office where you have to go to obtain this permit is slow and suspicious.

Very well organised during the high demand. Friendly staff positioned at various points who manage the traffic queues efficiently. Alternate bays are blocked off to maintain social distancing. Well done to the Recycling team.

Stupidly busy today (friday) with a queuing system in force at 16:00. Very good service, with helpful staff. Sad to see a sign on the entrance charging for certain waste - an invitation for the fly-tipper of this world!

It is quite a well-organised recycling centre, which is easy to access if you manage to avoid peak traffic times. One of the staff, however, seems to think he's better than everybody and owns the place, which is comedic.

Been twice this week, delivering garden waste/wood waste from 91yr old mother- in -laws back yard. At most 20 minutes wait prior to 10, staff directing to which bay to use. Was expecting a much longer wait, queuing well organised!

Every time I come here I get some grumpy little man in hi viz moaning about some infraction of their ever changing rules. This place is supposed to provide a service. Perhaps a bit of service culture training wouldn't go amiss.

Chelson Meadow provides a fantastic service but I wish the website could be up-to-date with closing times. Currently says Thursday’s closing time is 6 pm when in fact it is 5 pm. In addition it should say 4:50 pm because I arrived admittedly close to 5 o’clock but it was not 5 o’clock and yet the gates were closed And I have driven approximately 20 minutes to get there and that’s a wasted journey of 40 minutes.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PHOTO ID (driving licence, best) to say you are living in Plymouth! ... Whether they train them to deal with the public or not, or whether they pick the right people - lovely guys working here! Easy to find and use the facility.

They've always been wonderfully helpful and I've been able to dispose of everything besides car parts - these you need to do through your own garage who have their means of disposing in their own environmentally friendly way. Everything else has been fine.
