I love my new hair cut and colour! AJ always manages to produce just what I had in mind. Sadly I didn't have anywhere to go show off my awesome new colour and blow dry ;-)

I’ve been going to AJ for hair colouring and styling for a while now (I’m not good at leaving reviews!) - but feel I must say how amazing he is. I’m 68 so my hair is getting thinner and I need him to cover up the grey. I always leave the salon feeling confident that my hair looks great. He’s so good at giving me advice about using products to make my hair look and feel thicker and he styles it perfectly so it’s easy for me to keep looking good in between visits - and the colour is natural looking, which I love. I buy the Kevin Murphy products he uses because they are genuinely good and last a long time - they also smell amazing! I can’t recommend AJ highly enough really. We’re so lucky to have him in Brighton - he is very experienced in all aspects of hairdressing. His salon is small, you’re the only one in there, so you get all his attention and in these Coronavirus times you feel safe, which is also important at the moment. Go and try him if you haven’t already. I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed, whatever age you are!

LOVE getting my haircut with AJ! I've never been able to stick to one hairdresser previously, and would keep moving around, but I have now been seeing AJ for over a year and very pleased with the results. He really takes the time to understand what you are after, and gives you lots of top tips to take away with you. I always get lots of comments after a cut. I love the products he uses and the fact he's not in the centre of town is very handy! I've also had AJ style my hair for a wedding which was gorgeous, so will definitely do this again. I would highly recommend booking in at the Maud Salon :)

AJ is literally the best stylist. I genuinely used to hate having my hair done and would always leave the hairdressers and go home and style it myself. I thought that was just me. But then i went to AJ. His styling is just beautiful. His cuts are incredible. I can wash my hair and go to bed without styling it and it looks incredible the next morning because his cuts are so wearable. This completely suits my lifestyle as I’m a busy mum and fitness instructor. He just totally gets his clients wants and needs and always listens. I can not recommend him highly enough. The products he uses are gorgeous and eco friendly too! He thinks of everything. His salon is small and private, it’s relaxing and cool. It’s just perfect. Go to AJ at Maud Salon you won’t regret it! Couldn’t recommend enough. I get my hair cut and coloured by AJ and I’m always incredibly happy with the result - he’s the only hair stylist who seems to ‘get’ what will suit me and how I want it styled at the end. MAUD salon is a lovely hideaway in Hanover and is a great chilled space to relax while getting your hair done - no questionable pop music blasting or the endless roar of hairdryers like most places! The Kevin Murphy products he uses too will also change your life!

AJ is not just a hair stylist, he is a hair artist. I have never had a cut like it, and can never imagine being able to find anyone as talented in Brighton or beyond. To visit AJ’s private salon is such a treat. I have recommended AJ to friends and they have come away as delighted as me. What’s more is AJ thinks about how your hair grows out, so that weeks after the cut the style is very much still in-tact. If you want a cut and colour that goes beyond any high street, high end salon then you simply must go to AJ x
