I had highlights, toner, wash cut and blowdry with Debbie today. This is the third treatment I've had with Debbie and each time I leave RJ's feeling glamorous and confident and I receive so many compliments. Debbies customer service is outstanding and she cares for her customers and remembers the conversations we had months before. I would highly recommend Debbie as a Senior Stylist who has over 20 years experience whose abilities and customer care are unmistakably excellent.

I spotted this nice hair saloon and wanted to give it a try: I can say when I’ll be back to Brighton I’ll definitely come here again. The girl who cut my hair -Amelia- was extremely friendly and suggested the best hair cut according to my hair type and my face. She explained me exactly what she was going to do with it. Amelia definitely went the extra mile as I asked to get a little braid even if it was a last minute request. She agreed and I wasn’t extra charged, even if I could be. I really appreciated that. Her head massage was amazing and very relaxing. I was highly satisfied with the service and will definitely come back to the hair saloon if she will still be there. Had my highlights and restyle by the lovely Amelia, she was super friendly and somehow knew exactly what I wanted, just from a picture and a very vague description. Unlike many hairdressers in the past she precisely how much or how little weight to take off. I normally dread going to a hairdressers ... All The lights and mirrors, the small talk it's not really my thing. However the salon felt relaxed and everyone in there was friendly. I will look forward to the next time I need my haircut.

This was my first time with Natalie and immediately I felt comfortable when walking into the store, Natalie had offered me a coffee and had made sure that she executed the cut as precisely as possible with adding her own artistry too. Natalie is very passionate in making sure the customer is happy with what they had asked for and to help her achieve this, she had frequently asked questions about what I wanted and asked to see some pictures to help guide her. I recommend finding examples of styles or cuts you like as it will benefit both the customer and Natalie. I felt confident directing her on if I wanted any changes made in the process, but also confident that I can leave her to use her skills and experience to deliver what I had asked for and even better. I have found my new hairdresser!

RJ’s is somewhere I’ve been coming to for years after my hairdressers left Brighton. I’m so glad I found somewhere that really understands what I want, gives great honest advice and my hair always feel incredible after my appointments. My hair was in a pretty bad state a few months ago and now feels better than ever thanks to Claudia’s advice. They are also so friendly and even helped my kids to enjoy their time at the salon when in the past (pre Covid) I’ve had to bring them with me. I would highly recommend to anyone, you won’t find a better hair salon ( or for treatments at their nail bar) in Brighton.

Very good colour service! I had a balayage done and with so many hair, poor Claudia had to spend 4h (literally) around me. But the final result was really wow! The only downside was that I also asked for curtain bangs, and on one side is slightly too short for my taste - but I've got a quick growth, so not too worried about that. Definitely recommend Claudia for all your hair needs!

I honestly can’t speak highly enough of RJ’s Hair Salon, the service has always been outstanding no matter who I have been booked in with, who greets me at the door, shows me to my seat etc. It’s extremely unusual to find a business where every single employee (including the owner) is professional, friendly, welcoming and helpful. I first used RJ’s back in 2019 after my sister recommended the salon and nail bar to me there. I haven’t been anywhere else ever since, I recommend it to friends and acquaintances now too because my hair always looks and feels incredible when I leave my appointments and they always listen to what I want or need from the appointment. I’ve had my nails done a few times too and they’re always absolutely gorgeous, expertly done and last so long! Absolute 5/5, 10/10 stars for RJ’s. Especially to Natalie who has made my box-dye-black to white-blonde hair journey stress free and with my hair being as healthy as possible! I’ve been having extensions at RJs since November 2018 and they are amazing! My stylist (Claudia) was brilliant at colour matching my hair and then fitting them neatly so they can’t be seen. I followed their after care recommendations and I’m always complimented on how lovely my hair is and no one believes that I have extensions in! After going to RJs for colour and extensions for almost 3 years my hair is in so much better condition! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I went only to get my acrylics taken off. But the lady was so nice and chatty with me. She was gentle with my hands and gave me advice on how to look after my nails. They accidentally double booked the lady that dealt with me, but she still did a great job in the short time she had to do everything.

I phoned up last minute to get my extensions removed, as I couldn’t get hold of my normal hairdresser. Staff on the phone was so helpful and tried her best to fit me in. I’m a new mum so, everything is always last minute and washing or brushing hair is a treat for me! . I was seen at my appointment time, if earlier! We had great conversation and my stylist Rachael, even suggested that she still had time to wash and blow dry my hair. I’ve been to a lot of salons where they’ve finished what they had booked me for and sent me on my way! I also ended up having a head massage by the lovely Ben, who was equally as attentive. I was very happy with all the above. I felt the pedicure luxury could have a longer period of massage and that vaseline booties would make it more luxury left on for 15 mins or so. But the quality of the work is very good. and I reallly like the girl that does my pedicures and manicures. It felt very safe here. Not sure about facials that feels a bit close...but maybe in a few weeks.

After moving to Brighton near the end of last year I was on the hunt for a reliable hair salon as they can be difficult to find. After reading all the good reviews I booked in with Natalie for an ombre and restyle. Natalie was really welcoming and professional in the consultation and discussed everything in detail about what colour and cut to have. She did a fantastic job - a long lob and blonde ombre - I was delighted with the results and have been back since! It's a fantastic salon - everyone is so friendly, they give great advice on products but don't go for the hard sell and have lots of other services too. I've also been there to have eyebrow tint and shape and the colour was matched perfectly and a great job by Natty, who like Natalie was super friendly and delivered a professional, brilliant service. They also have great online booking system and points reward system so really easy to fit in an appointment when suits. All in all a fantastic team and would 100% recommend.

I have been coming to RJs for 10 years and have never found a more professional or friendly salon. I recently took the plunge and had a Brazilian blowdry - wow, what a transformation! I have very thick, dry hair which takes forever to blowdry but this treatment has left it sleek & nourished and has halved my styling time. I have already received many compliments and am thrilled with the difference in the condition too. I had highlights a week later which have completed the look. The colours are spot on, as I wanted a mid-blonde rather than my usual light blonde colour. Debbie used 2 tints aswell as the usual blonde, to give me golden, natural locks which lift my whole face. I will never stop recommending RJS to friends and family- amazing cappuccinos too!

I have previously been here (over a year ago) and had a really negative experience. The waxer couldn't get the seal off the top of the roll on canister and therefore used hot wax on my legs. This burnt me and took INCREDIBLY long. After a few more attempts she managed to get the seal off and the wax was done much more quickly, however there were long strips left unwaxed. I was stuck for places to go however and therefore chose to go back. This time it was a different person and a very different experience. Great wax, didn't take too long, was done effectively and efficiently and definitely worth the money. I would HIGHLY recommend this waxer.

This is no way a refection of the service - just a prinicpal as my team and I have used you for a number of years , consistently recommend you and I personally feel that 50% of the fee would have been more appropriate.
