Javier was amazing! Gave a reference picture and it was exactly how I wanted it to turn out. We spoke about products and he gave me his expert advice about maintaining the look I was after. The cut was exactly what I wanted, an elegant feminine cut. Feathered front, framing my face in a flattering way and long layers to provide body, movement and volume to my hair. He took his time blow drying my hair and styling it perfectly. Walked out feeling great. Definitely a satisfied customer. Thanks Javier!

I’ve been having cut and colour styling with Javier for about 12 months now and he is without doubt THE best colour expert I have ever been too. I’m so pleased I was lucky enough to find him. He is a master at his craft, I have long curly hair and he knows exactly what to do, he has transformed my hair to be exactly what I have always wanted, without me even having to explain to him what I wanted! He is brilliant, I feel 100% comfortable to let him do his thing and always come out feeling amazing and get lots of compliments about my hair. Can’t recommend him highly enough! The Salon is also really nice, relaxed and friendly, and being very Covid sensible. Thank you!

I have to admit to being a Simon Webster groupie. Apart from Simon's excellent skill set the atmosphere in the salon, is fab. It's ALWAYS a lovely experience, from the drinks menu, attentive staff to the amazing professionalism. I suppose one the most valuable things about my visits is, trust. I had a last minute cancellation at the dentists which meant I could not make my initial booking for 2 days time. When I rang in to notify and ask for another date the team gave me one immediately on the day which I could attend. I have had plenty of ups and downs with my hair during the past few years after a failed ombre attempt but I have finally reached a point where I am able to grow it and needed only the dead and split ends done, I didn't want another attempt at a modern or novel hair do. Ellie was available to see me and she actually LISTENED. !! She gave me EXACTLY what I asked for and took time to treat me like a person rather than a punter, and for this alone I would defiantly go back in a heart beat. Around about here is where I have to say that Simon's whole establishment is DIVINE! I was blown away with how my hair looked after Javier had finished! I had gone from a dyed black to a hot fire red/orange and was so amazed how well the colour took due to Javier’s expertise and precession. He was extremely thorough and didn’t stop until my hair was perfect! The whole salon team were incredibly friendly and made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable which made a difference, especially as I was in for 6.5 hours, they even offered to run out and get some food on my behalf as I forgot to bring something with me for that period of time - above and beyond really. Javier was lots of fun too and I’m really happy to have found my long term salon!

I went into my lux appointment asking for a fringe and layers but my stylist did not put layers in. I felt like an inconvenience to be there, as my stylist wasn't very chatty and was rather abrasive, one particular occasion when brushing through my hair she was rather forceful with the brush resulting in hitting my forehead several times rather hard. I came away feeling disappointed, and insecure about my hair because I had high hopes. I love the fringe I've had put in, but I would have liked the layers I asked for. The rest of the staff were super lovely though, and the building is stunning but I probably wouldn't go back sadly.

I went to Simon Webster last week and it was amazing. I get Balayage every 6 months so I like to get it done to a high standard and done so I dont have to worry about it until I feel luke a top up. My hairdresser was Nathen Clein and he was brilliant. He communicated with me to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted and then went above and beyond making my experience and hair magical! I went to get my colour corrected, baby lights done, hair treatment and cut/style. I went in with an absolute lockdown self ruined mess of rat tailed bleached/greenish hair and 0 confidence (gawwjjuss haha). Ellie worked on my sad hair for hours and after me having no hope because of all the damage I was slowly put at ease as she worked her magic! I felt so relaxed and felt grateful for the respect with my face mask exemption also, which they made so I was not near others - in doing so respecting other customers etc. The vibe in the salon is chilled and friendly, super trendy and super clean. When my hair was done I was honestly a bit blown away at the result - Ellie was so thorough and took her time over getting the colour right and I can't thank her enough for the much needed confidence boost! Been having my hair cut at Simon Webster Hair for nearly a year and can honestly say I’ve not had one ‘bad hair day’ since that first cut! I get stopped frequently by random strangers who ask ‘who cuts your hair - it’s fabulous’ or say what a fantastic cut I have! Simon is a perfectionist (as are all his staff) and every visit to the salon is a pleasure! You are looked after so well, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave - everyone is so friendly! I’m not a young person (well over 50) but I feel relaxed and comfortable at the salon despite most of the staff being half my age!!!! If you want amazing hair then this is the place to go!!!!!!!

I’ve had my hair cut here for a few years. Before that I travelled back to North London for 10 years to have my haircut as I had so many bad experiences in Brighton. After waiting 6 months for a haircut, I was really looking forward to the salon experience. I wanted to try a new hairdresser and having read plenty of reviews, I decided on Simon Webster Hair. I left the salon just feeling a little ‘’meh’. I felt a little bit like an inconvenience just being there. The stylist wasn’t really interested in talking. I wasn’t offered a head massage (the bit I was looking forward to most). And I can’t say I love my haircut. I mean, it’s ok. But not what I’d hoped for. Perhaps it was because I had one of the last appointments on a weekday. I’m not sure but I don’t think I’ll be returning.

I‘ve got my hair cut today at this Salon by the lovely Lora. Having curly hair, I’ve always struggled to find a hairdresser who gives me a cut that I’d like. But today, I left the salon with a cut I knew I’d like a lot. The result is exactly what I described to her. I cannot recommend this place enough! The staff was really friendly, I was immediately greeted with the offer of a drink and the experience all together was really pleasant! Sadly I won’t be able to come back, as I’m only staying in Brighton for going to a language school. But if I lived here, this would certainly be my go-to hairdresser! I have mixed Afro/European hair which can become fairly crazy and unmanageable when it grows too big. I’ve been travelling up to London to get my hair done at top Afro specialist salons for a long time and on the advice of one of the hairdressers was told Simon Webster salon specialised in my kind of hair. I had a consultation with Chantal who has an extensive background in dealing with Afro hair and I could tell upon seeing me she was very eager and excited about taking on the challenge. What I loved about Chantal was all the ideas I had in my head about what I wanted re: colour and cut, she would mention first like she was reading my mind. On the actual day, Chantal undertook every single step throughout doing my hair herself. Excellent attention to detail, very pleased with the result. So nice as well to find a local salon who didn’t look daunted by my hair when I walked through the door. Can’t wait to get back there once lockdown is over!

Best hairdressers I have EVER been too! So lovely and welcoming and my hairstylist (Dan) was pure genius! He was so patient and helpful as I wasn’t fully sure exactly what I wanted. Most important thing - the cut (Simon) and colour (Linzi) are always perfect and always what I asked for. Simon will often suggest something to freshen my look up and doesn’t just see me in a certain way with a certain hair cut. When I changed my colour, Linzi was brilliant at finding the right way through dyed brunette to blonde hair - not easy. I leave looking the way I want. Almost as important is the experience. Its a happy welcoming salon which makes an otherwise slightly tedious process fun and above all comfortable. Although its more convenient to get my hair cut in London, its completely worth the effort to visit Simon Webster.
