Kate at Brighton did a truly amazing Balayage on my hair today. She was so friendly, talked me through everything and managed my expectations. However, the result exceeded my expectations!! Jake (my usual hairdresser at Brighton) then gave me an awesome wavy blow dry. I actually welled up in front of the whole salon as I was so pleased!! Worth every penny, and a proper pampering. Head massage, Prosecco & Blue Light card discount to boot. I won’t go anywhere else to get my hair cut & coloured. Thank you so much!

I’ve been going to Trevor Sorbie for many years and wouldn’t go anywhere else for my hair. All the staff are so welcoming and it’s a lovely atmosphere in the salon. The whole experience was truly 5 star - from warm & cheerful receptionist, to a wonderful gentle but effective hair-wash (plus head massage!) All really relaxing and caring. Followed by a wonderful haircut from Jake. First time to visit this salon. II had read good reviews about him on google, but Jake really IS a hair-wizard. I have a lot of thick, long, bushy hair and he knew exactly what to do with it - whilst really respectful of my wishes to keep it long AND its natural texture and qualities! I came for the very first time to Trevor Sorbie Brighton yesterday and had a cut with the lovely Pete. He went the extra mile to understand exactly what I was looking for with a restyle, and immediately tuned in to my wavelength, talked me through all the possible options - then delivered a fab, inspired result! The whole consultation process was brilliant, Pete's tremendous expertise speaks for itself and everyone in the salon was super welcoming, friendly and efficient. Further update: you go through life, I do anyway, with reasonable expectations regarding quality of delivery and service. Sadly, more often than not, those expectations are not met. Very rarely are they exceeded. I was in the Brighton Salon yesterday and they excelled yet again. These people really are a class act. Top of their game. I can't recommend them highly enough. I have said it before and I will say it again - Jake is a creative genius and Georgia who runs the reception and admin is not only the paragon of effectiveness and efficiency she has the ability to lift your spirits and brighten your day just with a smile. Due to circumstance I went somewhere else for my hair cut last time. Similarly positioned organisation. It was a mistake in every way. These people are the best. They are skilled, reliable, truly creative. the admin side is efficient, effective, friendly, polite, likeable, just enough... I cannot recommend this salon more highly. Oh and Jake is still a genius of the highest order. They are not cheap but they are a class act. From the charming and beautiful young lady on the reception desk with the $1,000,000 smile. Worth every penny just for the greeting. To highest quality of stylist. Jake is a genius. Always has creative ideas. He gently guides you away from bad choices. His execution is exacting plus he shows tremendous attention to detail. Like any true artist he never feels that he has quite finished. They have got the Covid thing nailed down and even manage to still look cool in their masks and visors. Yes really! Can't recommend them highly enough.

I have tried several salons in Brighton since moving here but tried Trevor Sorbie a couple of years ago and never looked back! I've had my hair cut by a few of the stylists and they have all been really professional and friendly, and I've always been happy with the end product. Always an absolute pleasure to visit Trevor Sorbie Brighton! Parking nearby, so it's convenient to get to. Georgia and Billie are most welcoming even in these strange times. They are professional, warm and open. Georgia in particular is such a caring person and I always have a laugh with her which enhances the whole experience and gets it off to a good start. My cut with Jake always brings me back to the person I was meant to be! He listens, is open to ideas and easy to chat to. He is so skilled at giving me the cut I really want that I always leave a much happier person! I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else, and most definitely worth every penny!

I had an appointment with Elysia for a cut and blow dry. I've never really enjoyed having my hair cut, especially with really thick, curly hair. Elsyia immediately put me at ease, made some great recommendations for treatments and products on my hair and more importantly the finish was great. Really pleased with the cut and a lovely beach curl blow dry. Would definitely book Elysia again.

Great cut and colour as usual in this salon which is the main thing. Sadly there was no internet access, no coffee or water offered and no magazines available. Heavy drilling from next door was awful. My experience here last week was disappointing and definitely not the usual expected luxury service. Also had to wear a mask throughout. This is very difficult for the stylist to cut / colour your hair to suit your face when they can only see your eyes 😷 It would be good if mask wearing is optional if you are fully vaccinated as in other salons, shops and public places maybe.,, Hopefully the normal 5 star service will be back soon.

However, today I was very disappointed to come home to find lots of little black hairs on my face and clothes - as I am blonde, then these had obviously come from the previous user of my gown. Yuk!

Had my regular cut with Jake today! If you have short straight hair Jake is a master, it's like watching an artist at work. I never have a bad haircut. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I always know that I will come out with a perfect cut. A warning though... it's addictive. I have recommended him to friends and family who find themselves travelling an hour by car or from overseas for a cut with Jake!

Josh is an incredible colourist. I went in with my box dyed black hair of over +20 years and after 2 visits I’m now a wonderful copper. During the initial consultation, Josh made sure I understood how the colour may lift during the cleanse treatment so I left with very clear expectations on what could be achieved. Cannot fault the welcome or the cut. Both very good and all staff hospitable. Venue also lovely. But the stylling of the hair is really not what I wanted. I asked for beach waves but ended up with extremely product laiden hair, almost greasy because so much product was put in it. I left the salon with it still being a bit damp so I thought it would look less wet once it had dried. But actually I have got home and just ended up with wet look hair. I do have slightly frizzy hair but it doesnt frizz when properly ironed or blow dried. It wasn't either and I have come home and had to iron out my fringe and feel like washing it even though it was washed in the salon. To me, beachy is textured and wavy but still with some styling that makes it look effortless. I feel like I ended up with partly unsturctured waves weighed down with grease. I probably should have said something, but as I say I thought it might look less wet once dry and of course it will wash out, but when you spend a fair bit on a cut you kind of expect to come out feeling great, and I just didnt. Probably better to just get a dry cut and style it myself in the future. Disappointing
