I needed a good hairdresser but was on holiday at the time and had bad signal but the communication over Facebook was excellent. They booked me in no trouble ready for my return home. I had Nick cut my hair and he was lovely, did a fantastic job on my hair. I had alopecia and my hair had only really gotten to a decent length and he managed to make it all even. Super happy and will definitely return again! They are expensive but you get what you pay for and I was happy to pay what I did.

Always get a great job done here! I often visit for a blow dry, I have crazy curly hair and they get it perfectly straight everytime. I have had colours done here too which have also been perfect. I would totally recommend this place. You become a part of the alter ego family when you visit here. Amazing staff

My partner lives in Colchester all week so mine was a fleeting visit (I only stay there once a month or so) but I'm so glad I picked alter ego, at random from Google! Such a gorgeous place, really lovely staff, so knowledgeable and friendly. Although I'm rarely in Colchester I will be definitely making a beeline for this place when I need my hair doing!
