Great haircut, as always, and priced just right. I've been coming to Welham's for years and never had a bad one, no matter who I'm seen to by (although Adrian does go the extra mile with a shampoo, condition, and blow dry). The welcoming atmosphere, paired with the usual jovial banter between barbers and customers, creates a fun and friendly experience, from waiting your turn to walking out the door feeling a little lighter! Please do pop in and see for yourself, I'm sure you won't be disappointed...K

5 Stars without a doubt! It was my first visit to Welham's barbers after seeing the reviews the day before I could see why it was five stars I had a friendly welcome coming in and had a great chat and banter with the barber that was cutting my hair and done a great job best haircut I've had in ages and the staff we're very friendly, welcoming and a good laugh and came out of the barbers with a great haircut. Thank you and I'll definitely be coming back again soon!

Have been going for years and won't be stopping soon. Amazingly friendly, polite and welcoming, can only be described as like popping round a mates for a catch up! Always a great haircut no matter what style you are after, and just couldn't recommend highly enough, leave happy every time!!

Excellent good old fashioned English barbers. Adrian, coral and all the guys are extremely friendly and down to earth. All have years of experience cutting hair and I have never had a bad trim from them. Always very welcoming and the covid 19 regulations are strictly adhered to which is very reassuring in the current climate. The same cant be said for other local barbers! If your lucky you might also get a beer whilst you wait!

Been having my haircut there for 6 years or more & I won't be going anywhere else. Good haircut & price, polite & friendly staff, great ambience and very informal. I love the spinning striped cylindrical thingy outside. I noticed they are excellent in the way they help the elderly and other customers with mobility problems. I noticed another hairdresser shop opposite with this spinning thing. Cheeky copy cat. No worries as I won't be going there. Keep up the good attitude & work.

Haircut and Beard Trim in April. This was the first time I have visited this establishment and will definitely be going back. My hair was cut by a really pleasant fellow called Adrian (who is also the proprietor). I really liked the way that he took his time over the cut. The quality of the haircutting was excellent. Been coming here for a while now, hand on heart I can say this is the most friendly and genuine barbers around. Top quality hair cuts from all the barbers in the shop, but the main thing that gets me to come back is the friendliness and how down to earth the owner is.

Traditional barbers shop for the discerning gentleman! You get a professional haircut at a decent price. Most styles are accommodated for and the guys do a great line in banter too. There is even a red, white and blue striped pole outside! An oasis of nostalgia and calm amongst a sea of indistinguishable hairdressers and personal care outfits that appear to have taken over Colchester town centre.

I’ve been coming to welhams since I was a chubby little boy(often reminded). I get my hair cut every two weeks,so you could say I’m their best customer. The friendly and professional manner in which the staff conduct them selves is second to none, So what you might have to hear the same story a couple of times. like how the owner won the under 5ft body building British championship in 1973 or how long it took Stew to get over the Orwell bridge that very morning. For the fresh cut and warm welcome it’s worth it!

You will get amazing cuts (and for only £11 you get more bang for your buck than anywhere else in town) by proper gentlemen that make you feel right at home, with the customer service the warmth of the atmosphere is second to none. This barbers is a foundation if not a cornerstone of the Colchester community. Well established within the town and well presented within the 20th century. Previously I have always been a patron of the Turkish barbers but I have become disillusioned with the mismanagement of my hair, in short.. the staff at Welhams are nothing less than artists.
