Sabrina at Backstage might be the best barber in Edinburgh. She’s been cutting my hair for years and always leaves me looking sharp and feeling better about myself. Appointments are 45 minutes (compared to 30 elsewhere), so she can take time with the scissors rather than just going in with the clippers. Top notch barber shop, top notch banter.

Everything about this place is amazing : from the brand, to the quality of the haircut, to the whole experience in the shop itself. The owner personally deals with the haircuts and takes his time - he clearly cares about the haircut more than anything! And, there's free coffee too ;) Would definitely be back again.

Fantastic haircut by Davie G. Found myself needing a haircut while away working in Edinburgh, and after a short Google search, decided on Backstage Barbers, and I wasn't disappointed at all! I'm very picky about who cuts my hair, and I can honestly say, this is one of the very best cuts I've had to date.. highly recommended for those who want and excellent haircut.. I'll definitely be back anything I'm visiting Edinburgh.

Just brilliant. Top quality barber both with clippers and scissors. Made a suggestion after I said how I usually get my cut, and it's turned out to be a great improvement. Took his time to check I was happy with the cut at each stage or if we wanted to make it shorter. All in all I don't think you'll find a better barber in Edinburgh, great chat, impressive reflexes, very attentive and technical ability which I've rarely found even in high-end barbers or hairdressers across the UK

Best haircut experience in recent memory!! The shop was very clean and modern with comfortable chairs and great music. The online booking system was easy to use. But what really made the experience 5 stars, was Davie. He didn't assume anything about what I wanted, he asked the right questions, made some suggestions and then delivered! All while maintaining a great conversation. The other stylist working with him was very nice too, didn't get her name though. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

The real barber experience and the real barber with experience. After 7 years of bad haircuts I found hair peace. I showed Davie a picture of the cut I wanted, he walked me through my options and cut my hair exactly as I wanted it. He has been a great chat for the whole time. I also really appreciated the care and precision he showed all the time. The quality-price ratio is incredible. When it comes to haircuts, is your head you show around, spend a few pounds more and let it handle to a professional like Davie and his crew. The difference is substantial.

Great spot, great decor and great service. I was in Edinburgh on business and stumbled upon the place, near to the hotel. Luckily they had a spot for me the next day for a haircut. This is one of those places where they just understood right away what i wanted and wasn't afraid to ask further questions to get it right. Having tried most barbers of note across Edinburgh since moving here a few years back, can honestly say I think Backstage is the best barbers in Edinburgh by a long way. One of the, if not the very, best wet shave I have ever had! I’ve let them take care of both my hair and my beard, best decision ever. The level of attention is impressive; I have been asked about my skin sensitivity in order to judge whether to shave first, thus allow time monitor the skin reaction and take eventual remedy. With no concerns about my skin, she decided to cut my hair first in order to send me out with the most relaxed feeling coming from the wet shave. What a service! Thank you guys!

Top class cut. The fades davey does are unrivalled. So tight. The atmosphere and aesthetic is top notch. The playlist is perfect, every song that comes on someone says “what a song”!! Cannot recommend highly enough. Worth 5* for the coffee and fridge alone, never mind the cuts!
