Well, just had my haircut here for the first time. And all I can say is I had a great cut and equally good service by the team here. I highly recommend this place. 5⭐️ from me. Will definitely be coming back. Very happy patron.

So, I in all my wisdom decided to not have my hair cut throughout this entire pandemic. The last cut I got was in December 2019. As you can imagine, the top of my head ended up pretty hairy and was in dire need of a chop! My girlfriend found Headcase Barbers online when we were in Edinburgh for the weekend and booked an appointment. We arrived a wee bit early, and Vee (excuse me if I'm getting your name wrong!) got straight to work taming my formerly luscious locks! He was very friendly and did a great job in deciphering my "I just want it shorter" instructions. In about half an hour or so I went from a scruffy bum, to being presentable for date night. The staff at Headcase barbers are excellent, the booking process was easy (we managed to get a same day appointment) and the location, on Rose Street, is really handy. I recommend the place to any one needing their hair tamed!

Went there with the friend whose young man had a haircut done. Really friendly staff and make you feel at ease! Enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate (one of the best ones I’ve ever tried). Boy was real happy with the haircut and even allowed to have some post cut styling done, though usually “hates stuff” on his hair :) very pleased boy, his mumma and myself. Now quite a frequent visitor. Would highly recommend!

I chummed my boyfriend in for a haircut yesterday. The shop is a quirky little place with friendly staff. We were both offered a free coffee and accepted. The coffee was delicious and of great quality. My boyfriend was given a fantastic haircut and the barber was a complete professional. The ambiance of the shop was amazing too. All in all, Headcase Barbers gave us a wonderful experience and my boyfriend will be a regular customer from now on. I’ll be telling everyone about this hidden gem!

Very nice shop, cool atmosphere and the free coffee is great. Kind staff. However I have to say my barber did a very rushed job, and the finished result was not so good. The thinning scissors was too much and took some big chunks of hair out. Wasnt worth the £20 for a 10 minute rushed cut. Otherwise, cool place.

I'm not actually sure where to begin with this so let's just start at the beginning, you guys and gals are awesome. Arrived a bit early took a nice wee seat out in the Scottish sun as I waited, got offered a coffee... I mean would be rude not to accept that, it was delicious btw (thanks to the lass that brought it out, I didnt get your name sorry, but thank you none the less) Got taken in by Adam, sound as a pound Adam, you legit took me from looking like jesus and brought me into 2021 the transformation is unreal! Absolute gent, good banter and mad skills defo gonna be back! Thanks again!

Used on Sunday as my usual barber shut. Place itself,staff & ambience top notch. Technique used to cut my hair was very ‘modern’ & new school & he was taking his time. Unfortunately the end result wasn’t great in my opinion. You can get a better fade with some Turkish barbers around for £10

First time visiting the barbers, Rossi managed to fit me in that morning. I will defiantly be returning. The hair cut was 10/10 with a alot of attention to detail and knowledge. The halloween decorations also were on point! - Five star service

I'm usually really nervous when going to the barbers but I have never felt so welcomed and comfortable, ever. Really friendly service! and put a lot of effort in doing their best job, if your wanting a professional hair cut this is the place. And! You get a free coffee! It's safe to say I'm going to be a regular.

Solid barber shop and coffee bar in New Town Edinburgh! Friendly, sharp, and amazing service. They also offer a haircut monthly/yearly subscription. Highly recommend if looking for both a quick trip or all the works with shave, wash, cut and dry. The coffee alone is worth the stop!

Great cuts from a group of great guys. Everyone is very welcoming and atmosphere is very chilled. Regular cuts with Rander (and Chris) are always top quality and never leave disappointed.

Called them up and had a booking arranged within ten minutes! Staff were very welcoming, offered drinks etc. Seemed genuinely interested in customers. My barber, Leo (I think that was his name; he’s from China, not Korea!) did an excellent job. Personally I’m always a bit lost as to what to ask for when I get my hair cut and can find small talk at the barber’s a bit unnatural. Leo, however, was helpful in giving advice, was engaging to talk to and had a good sense of humour. If I find myself back in Edinburgh needing a haircut, I know where I’ll be going.

My regular barber now for over a year after jumping around trying to find a decent one. The free speciality coffee is a bonus but the friendly staff and the high quality of their work I recommend you go see for yourself.

Absolutely unblieveable experience! My barber was absolutely amazing, so warm and welcoming and really easy to talk to. Showed him a picture of Thor from the Avengers and he did a brilliant job recreating the cut on me. I’ll be recommending this place to all my friends in Edinburgh and will definetly come back next time I’m through.

I've been to a lot of barbers in Edinburgh but this by far the best. A little more expensive but the service and care taken is well worth it. And they actually listen to what you want!

My man Ricardo Francischetti performed wonders on my head. The perfect skin fade. Didn’t realize he owned a pair of scissors - thought his hands were made of machines! Will be hard finding a replacement for this guy when I get back home to Toronto. Will be making a point to visit again when back in Edinburgh!
