Visited Ivor as I was looking for a new barber after having moved to leith in September. Was apprehensive at first, but ivor's great conversation soon put me at ease. The haircut I received was thorough, and well done. The shop itself was spotless and Ivor has some great cleanliness policies you can see put to work when you visit. Overall, the best haircut I have had in a long time, and I can say for a fact that I will be back soon for another great cut. Top stuff.

Talented barber. Clearly experienced. Good eye for detail. Took the time to ask and clarify what was needed. Cuts with confidence. Knew exactly what to do with my hair with little brief given and it was obvious he adapts to trends. Patient, good conversation. Shop was clean, products used were good. Came out with as good a haircut as I've had. No fancy 'bookings' to give the illusion of demand, walk-in. Other's in Leith are more expensive and not as good. Don't be fooled by fancy branding and hipster interiors. If you want a solid haircut that grows in well. Great barber in Edinburgh - go to Ivor.

I don't usually review my barber, but this is worth a review. Ivor is a great barber, and good chat with his customers. His shop is clean and tidy, he has Netflix on while you wait and customer toilets. And all of this for a very good price.

Ivor is the real deal, the best, most consistent barber I've ever been to, a fountain of good conversation if that's what you're into, and the only barber I will go to for any and all needs. He takes his time over each and every customer, asks careful questions on what they're after, and executes to perfection. Pre-covid, it was customary to wait at least an hour, often more, to get seen as Ivor's is one-man band. But you seldom minded, knowing that when it was your turn, you'd get that same equal attention. However, I actually feel the new system during covid, with bookings, works even better instead and is something I hope continues if possible. Worth going out of your way for.

Brilliant haircut at an unbeatable price. You might have to wait a while, since Ivor takes such care over each and every haircut, but if you've got the time it's certainly worth the wait.
