Not going to put photos on because I think that’s unfair. I normally love this place. More to the point I like the stylist I chose because they are friendly and upbeat and helpful. The majority of people surrounding them are lovely too. There is a little niggle I have that I just noticed when people were communicating with each other. Mostly they are welcoming but ever since there have been some people returning to the work environment there. There are two people that seem a bit bossy and ask their stylists to use specific applications for their clients when this may not provide the best results. Having had a previous hair stylist before I moved that was cheaper and had 25 years experience I was apprehensive to try somewhere else closer to my home now. But as I say the stylist I have brilliant I just think they are easily influenced by their perhaps senior stylists ? Previous occasions I have loved what they’ve done (Barr a style of crimping - but at least I could easily straighten that away at home). Mostly this salon is great just make sure you are specific in what you ask for as any grounds for leeway may prove that you will not get what you were hoping for. And if you’ve been like me with someone for years and you’ve moved here and have knowledge of what applications worked best tell them. If they don’t feel comfortable providing you with that service try another stylist there. They are lovely people just if you want a specific result be specific. I do second chances so I will be giving them a second chance because I believe that the stylist I have has it in in them to be more bold and try different types of application. They did before when other people who have returned to the salon weren’t there and I was very happy with the result so I hope they grow more and try different methods even more.long story short; don’t be put off by my one time lop sided experience. Give them a try but make sure you are direct and firm in what you ask for.

Alex at Marie Clare regularly cuts and colours my hair and it's always a lovely experience. Alex has really helped my hair look so much healthier after my lockdown experiments with colour and he always recommends products to help improve the texture and style.

Cannot praise the fabulous team at Marie Clare enough. I’ve been a customer for years but just last year Abbie and team created the perfect start to the most special day of my life by hosting my bridal party in the beautiful salon. They catered for all our needs, provided space for me and 4 bridesmaids to get ready, allowed my videographer and photographer access all areas, gave us Prosecco on arrival and not only that did an amazing job of styling the hair of all 5 of us. When my Dad came to collect me in our wedding car, walking up the steps at Marie Clare to meet him, feeling out of this world after being so well looked after will be a memory I’ll treasure for ever!!!! Since moving to Hull, I researched and found Marie Clare and I’ve never went anywhere since. Helen is my hairdresser and she’s the kindest of souls and really listens to what I want as I can be quite fussy with how I like my hair cut! I’ve been going to Marie Clare for about six years, I’ve had cuts, colour, treatments, nails and bridal hair... these girls have been there every step of the way. There is great atmosphere, It’s always the 5* experience that you want and expect. I always know that I will come out with great colour and with fantastic results. My most recent colour was strawberry blonde and I can’t wait to be back to get some upkeep. The selection of treatments is also great and the girls will always give information on how to use them and how to get the salon look at home... although I haven’t mastered that yet!

Had my hair coloured by Abbie several times and have been so happy with the result. She takes the time to ensure the condition of your hair is retained during colour treatments and strand tests to ensure the colour is how you would like it beforehand. During consultations Abbie really listens and ensures you both have the same idea. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality. I have also had eyelash extensions and dermalogica face mapping done here and find the beauty rooms very relaxing and both the beauty rooms and salon are kept very clean. I followed the owner of Marie Clare's from one salon to another! the present being Marie Clare's, because she is that fantastic! Her scissors and skills are the Holy Grail of my hair do's! I have never had a hairdresser with such creative skill do my hair like she does, not ever! Not ever before or even since and I've been about! She's the best hairdresser in town by a long shot! Plus she, and her staff are very professional, polite and friendly, and you're made to feel very welcome by being greeted with a coffee and a friendly face. I cannot praise the present owner of this salon enough! Not only is she a fantastic, actually the absolute best hair dresser in town, she's created a warm, friendly fun and classy environment with professional staff who know exactly what they're doing, and I always have come away with a fantastic hair cut, always better than I could have imagined! It always grows in a great style so I get a longer time out of my hair style than I would otherwise. I've been to so many hairdressers in my time, and Abby in particular, and her staff blow the rest out of the water!! Cannot recommend highly enough to anyone wanting an amazing hair do that will make you look gorgeous, here is the place to be!!

Staff are nice, especially Matthew! Had to go in a second time to get the colour I wanted but we eventually got there and now I love it. Very thorough and take the time to suit you. My hair is very bushy and long and now it is sleek and delectable. Only reason why they dont get 5 stars is that i had to go in twice. I have to tell you the building is beautiful and their hot chocolate is delicious. I will probably return to this salon, all in all, I would recommend to others definitely.

I can't recommend Marie Clare highly enough. Both my mum and I have been using the salon for many years and would never go anywhere else. My mum has her hair cut and coloured by Abbie and her shellac nails done by Alice, they are always amazing. Lauren cuts my hair and I trust her to do a great job every time. Like most women I was hesitant about going to a new hairdresser ! The experience with my previous hairdresser was not good and as a result i needed someone to put the wrongs right! I Booked an appointment with Lauren at Marie Claire's! on arrival I was impressed with the look and ambience of the salon. The receptionist was friendly and attentive showing me other areas such as the beauty Salon before taking me up to the hair salon. After a few minutes Lauren and i had a chat in regard to what I wanted her to do. My hair was still quite short so Lauren had a difficult task on her hands but managed to make changes just the same, discussing everything with me in detail . I was very happy with the end result, and hope that when my hair has grown for a few weeks I will be nearer completing the look I want with the aid of this skilled stylist!

Not being from Hull I didn't know where to start when it came to a decent salon but found Marie Clare online and its reviews were all fantastic. Having had my hair cut and coloured I can see why. Abbie coloured my hair and was clearly passionate about her trade and her business in a beautiful newly converted warehouse. Chloe cut it and did a fantastic job to finish it off. I can't fault anything about this salon from the friendly service of everyone who works there to the salon itself. Definitely the best I've been to!

I visited the salon on Mothers Day. As I was away from home I booked into this salon. It was Mothers Day and I wanted my hair to look nice as we were eating out. The girls were friendly and passionate about making my hair look lovely again and they succeeded. I am very pleased with my colour, the massage, 2 coffees and naughty chocolate biscuits all added to a lovely experience. It made me feel beautiful when I went out for Mothers Day dinner. I would highly recommend this salon, they know what they are doing, and they do it exceptionally well, I am quite choosey who does my hair, I have been to some very expensive top salons in the past but will definitely be a new client here.
