The haircut and the service I had was just decent, not bad but not good. I had expected something better from the reviews. My hairdresser was quite rough with my head. Plus the appointment time was a bit later than the actual time that I had to wait almost 30 mins . Not sure if I will return. Hopefully he will be more gentle and give better service to a customer in the future.

Despite a good 30 minute wait as they were very busy, I ended up having to go with Daniel because the other barber I booked was still going with a client, and Daniel had just finished and could take me on. Now this was my first time there so I didn't know what to expect and which barbers are great and which weren't as great. But Daniel gave my one of the best haircuts I've ever had. It was simply perfect. He was attentive to every detail I mentioned or requested at the beginning of the cut, and I didn't have to do the usual intervening to remind him or anything. It was literally one of the first times I didn't have to say anything. Really professional, really good service, and even while he was cutting other people's hair before me, he was also making sure the waiting customers were doing okay and apologizing for this unusual delay. And that is great service. Thank you very much Daniel! As a suggestion, i think if they brought someone to handle front of shop, (taking calls, handling walk in inquiries, and seeing to waiting clients, and maybe even shampooing) that would speed up the service, as some barbers were having to stop to make their customer coffee, or answer the phone, etc... It didn't seem like long delays with such things, but it could be why by 2pm there was already a 30+ minute backlog. If it was unusual, then that's fine, but if it happens often maybe they should address that.

This is without doubt the best barbers I have visited in London. I’ve lived here all my life and never found anywhere better. In a great location at the top of Bermondsey Street, the guys are all super friendly and make it a real pleasure having your hair cut. Even when they are busy and there is a big queue, they greet you with a smile and take the time to get everyone a drink. The queue never lasts very long. I’ve had brilliant haircuts from a few of the guys but particularly would recommend Antonio and Aldo - its also great to chat to these guys and get to know them every few weeks. I got a haircut, and this is by far the most satisfied I have felt after leaving this place. They are polite and friendly when you come in. I am usually used to getting haircuts for no more than 15 GBP. A cut costs 27 GBP here which is a little shock to me but I was really happy with the results. Would come back here again if I was ever to be back in the area.

I’ve been coming to Choppers for 3 years, after finding it on google. In those 3 years I have never had a bad haircut, in fact every single one has been perfect. Fantastic place. I am very fussy about getting my haircut, but I can safely say that this place exceeds my expectations. Every time I have been in to see Nick, I have been pleased with the results. Great time and method with the cuts, a really tidy beard trim, and add to the mix the excellent tunes and the service and you have a winning combination. Having moved to Bermondsey street I had to find a new barber that is, as everyone knows well enough, never easy. I have been coming every 3-4 weeks for over 2 years now and I can definitely say that I have never been disappointed by a cut from any of the lovely guys who work at this place! Cut I ask for is relatively simple (0.5 sides blended towards the top and sometimes cut from the top and maybe a line), however I've been getting compliments from a lot of people and even asked where did I get my haircut from? I've referred multiple friends to this place and I can definitely say that for £23 it's a very very very good value for price paid. One more thing that makes this place stand out for me personally is the fact that the barbers don't attempt to create a conversation with you. Throughout the years I have been to so many barber shops where it would almost get annoying when somebody is trying to talk to you with absolutely no effort to make it look like they're interested in you. Choppers is the place if you want to get a proper haircut done, for a decent price by really nice people. On top of that, you are always offered a bottle of water, a beer or a coffee. Highly recommended.

First Visit to the new shop and I'm very impressed! Beautiful interior and great choice of beverages (I recommend the espresso). I get my hair shaved to a zero grade but even then lots of care was taken to make sure it was even and no bits missed out like some places, I'm very protective of my beard but was given lots of advice by Nick and his team regarding the shape of it to compliment my face, I agreed to the reshape and can honestly say it's never looked so good and I'm over the moon with it. Choppers isn't your standard barbers, it's an experience and one you will only understand once you've been there. This will be my regular barbers from now on and I highly recommend you visit this brilliant establishment, you won't be disappointed.

I really like the place for the haircuts, the cool vibe, the staff... One thing that really bothers me is that I have never seen them dissinfect any of the tools. Lice are the biggest risk of sharing a hair brush, but combs can also spread many diseases like ring worm fungus, scabies and sometimes even a staph infection. This is also true for any other piece of equipment that touches people's scalp and hair. Could you please comment on this? I expect health standards to be taken very seriously. I'd hate to start scratching my head 1 day after getting a haircut at your place.
