Reviews of Clipper Of The Yard

They give very expensive haircut at a cheap price.

I've been going to Clipper of the Yard for a few years now and they are fabulous. They do a great job on my hair, are really friendly and it's a very fair price. I'm not often in that part of town these days, but I still come across from East London to get my hair cut as I like to stick with somewhere I know is good. The new premises are great, with a really nice fit out and they're in a great location.

Good, reliable barbers are very hard to come by, and I haven't looked back since I started coming to Clipper of the Yard more than three years ago. They get it right every time (and I'm fussy), and they're also lovely people. It's like visiting friends every couple of weeks rather than dragging myself in for a dreaded haircut. You can relax here. Also, the new shop on Strutton Ground looks great; it's a drastic improvement on the last!

Best barbers in London always go there in the afternoon as lunchtime can be a bit busy. All the ladies are very friendly and it is also very reasonably priced for the area.

Went in for my post lockdown haircut yesterday, as always all the ladies are really friendly, great value and great service.
Pleased to see them open again

I was "converted" to Clipper of the Yard about three years ago by chance, it was a wise move! Pam, you and your staff are all friendly and you do a great job on my hair ! Good luck in the new unit! Paul

Found this place via the google reviews - really glad I did. Great little place who do decent cuts for a reasonable price (under £20 for a cut) it’s no nonsense place with lovely staff, I’ve found an excellent Barber (Alex) who I go to regularly now.
I hear they’re moving to Strutton Ground in November - I’ll still be a regular as you’ll struggle to find that standard of quality anywhere else - irregardless of price.

Great haircut at a great price. Tried a few places around here but never anywhere I liked. This place was great though, efficient but not rushed, great finish, super friendly, no wait despite being a walk in at lunch, gave good hair advice too. Best thing was she cut it a bit longer than I liked but rather than just saying "all done!" she actually asked if I liked the length and happily trimmed more off until I was happy. Might not seem a big thing but so few hairdressers bother to do that that and it makes such a difference in terms of getting a haircut I like. Nice environment too, old school barber style without being dated. Definitely my new regular place.

The only place I trust with my hair. Very warm and personable staff. Quick in and out to get you set for the weekend. Highly Recommend.

Good haircuts, reasonably priced. Go outside of lunch time if you want to avoid the rush of Whitehall mandarins having their hair cut!

Excellent staff. Good haircut. Expensive though

A beautiful barber and the best haircut I've ever had.

In London on holiday and found what looked like an all female barbershop for men. I got a good short trim from a young lady from Poland. Didnt get her name as I was in a bit of a rush. Under £15 is decent for a cut i imagine in this area since I'm from across the pond. Thank you for making me look good for the Arsenal match tomorrow!

Friendly, efficient and an institution around here

Don't often wait long, reasonably priced, and they have some good staff. There seems to be quite a turnaround on staff, though, so sometimes not quite as talented.
C. S.
Quick cut with minimal wait time, in and out in 20 mins. Protip: they don't take card but there's a cash machine in St James' Park Station

Quick, efficient haircut by nice staff at very reasonable price.
E. M.
minimal wait, nice hairdresser, good cut for £15:50.

Found Clipper of the Yard when I used to work in the area and now happy to make the trip from Battersea for their high quality service, attention to detail and good prices. Pamela and her team have one of the most efficient, friendly and good-value salons in London.
