Thanks so much to Sam - my go-to London hairdresser! He takes a lot of care over the cut - always such a nice shape and style. The colour was excellent too and super shiny. Sam’s a fantastic hairdresser and great to have a natter with too - definitely recommend!

Absolutely love this place. Sam has been doing my hair for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. He's an incredible colourist and genuinely cares about his clients, helping them to achieve their perfect look. As someone who used to hate going to the hairdresser's for the fear of how I might look at the end of it, I can honestly say that I trust him implicitly with my hair when it comes to both cut and colour.

Had a haircut with Sam and he was amazing - really professional and knowledgeable, he listened to what I wanted and took a lot of care with my hair. He's also given me some great guidance on how to better look after and style my hair myself which has been invaluable. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

Finally I found a place that uses ethically sourced products. They smell amazing!!! Davines. I had a haircut by Sam. Also got a headmassage. This was probably best cut and blow-dry in ages. Sam was great. I will definitely be back and recommend a visit to all. Reasonably priced too. Thank you!

After a traumatising botched haircut at a different salon, I walked into Cut-Throat to see if there were any possibility it could be fixed and Sam was so kind as to stay late in the salon in order to help me. He was professional, consoling and highly skilled! I walked in in tears and left actually loving my new hair! I have wavy/curly hair and was super nervous about finding a stylist in London. The first hair dresser I contacted was Sam, and I’m so glad it was. I went from really long hair to just above shoulder length and I’m absolutely in love with it. Sam is really thoughtful about how the finished cut will look and how realistic it will be to style at home. Especially for the price I’m so impressed with the skill level. My curls are so much better defined and the movement is perfect.

I recently visited Cut Throat as my favourite colourist and stylist moved there, Sam Garvey. He is hands down the best! He gives you a proper consultation before doing anything and I have to say, over the many years he has been colouring and cutting my hair, I have never left his chair unhappy. I had my hair cut at CutThroat at the weekend and can't recommend it enough. The team were really friendly and attentive and the atmosphere in the salon is upbeat and cool. Everything is brand new, the products used are great and everything looks very smart and polished. From the moment I arrived I was really well looked after, offered coffee and sat down to chat about what I was looking for. Immediately I felt confident that I was going to leave happy with the results. In terms of the cut, I was requesting quite a lot of length to be taken off my already short hair. Sam gave me a detailed consultation and took the time to explain the reasons behind his advice, making suggestions on how to ensure it works for me. I felt very comfortable that he understood what I was looking for and was giving me the best cut for both my hair type, lifestyle and styling capability. Had my first post lockdown hair cut here (in fact the first of 2020) and they did a great job. It was also very reasonable at £45 for a long hair wash, cut and blow dry. If only I'd realised this was a hairdresser's sooner, I spent years thinking it was a barber's!

As a blonde it's EXTREMELY hard to find someone who's good at colouring my hair (i've been looking for nearly 20 years). Sam is the best one ever ever found- As rare as a four leaf clover of colourists! i'm slightly reluctant to leave this review because I don't want him to be snapped up and never have any spare appointments for me, haha. He also repaired an awful haircut i had at headmasters in crystal palace, which i am eternally grateful for. I won't make the same mistake and go anywhere else again! Emma x

Absolutely brilliant experience with Jonny from start to finish! Signs up requiring customers to wear masks, and all staff wore face shields which was reassuring (and thankfully you can still hear them!). Temperature was taken before entering the salon as well. Once seated, Jonny basically read my mind, explained me his plan for cutting my hair which was exactly what I wanted. Throughout the cut he was chatting away, checking I was comfortable and okay (it was a very hot day) and even managed to cut around my ears without making me hold my mask. I would 100% recommend Jonny for a haircut, he's very talent and clearly takes pride in his work! I'll be returning next time I need a cut!

I go here to get my haircut every 3 months. Always pleased with the results. Staff are friendly and the prices are pretty reasonable for a haircut. There’s a 2 price system for haircuts. Short hair and long hair. None of that head stylist junior stylist pricing structure.

Jonny and the Cut-Throat team are brilliant, hands down best barbers (& Hairdressers) in town. Worth paying the extra money to get a haircut that continues to look good, even after 3 weeks. The vibe in the salon is chilled and you never feel rushed. More than happy to chill with a beer even at times when its super busy :). Wouldn't think of going to another salon now.

What a lovely place, from the first step in I was very welcome. Weekends are pretty busy, so make sure you make an appointment. They offer coffee, tea and water while waiting and having your hair done. Lovely and chatty hairdressers, giving great suggestions and making sure your hair is done as you wished it. both men and female, not sure about children though. If you are looking for a place where they use Davines' colour, then don't look any further and ask for Sam. He's a knowledgeable guy, who can apply a simple colour or guide you through and help deciding a new style or a big change, so you know you are in good hands and can relax whilst in the salon - plus prices are very honest so you won't be bankrupt. I would totally recommend it.

This salon is a hidden gem. I've been visiting Cut Throat ever since my hairdresser, Jonny, moved there from their Peckham site last year. Since then I've also had my hair cut by Josh, whose talent is also exceptional. I want to encourage more women to visit the salon as they seem to get more male customers. They also use and sell Olaplex and Davines hair products which are sulphate free and sustainably manufactured with natural ingredients.
