I have been a regular customer for about a year now. The Barber's is a short walk from Angel Station and is located in a very airy and bright space. The customers are aptly separeted according to government guidance. The staff are always polite, professional and welcoming. As far as the service, I have been going to Matt for a long while now and I have no regrets whatsoever. He delivers outstanding results and is always happy to be consulted with, on top of being an extremely kind and amiable person.

James has been incredibly detailed, affable and patient with me as I transitioned from San Francisco where I had been seeing a barber for the last 6 years. Needless to say, there is a reason why I keep coming back and it's a combination of the fresh cut (a seamless transition from SF) and the good-natured conversation provided by James. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a good cut.

Very cool place to get your hair and beard done. I go there every month and have done for 2 years plus. Its an excellent barber shop. I don't even live local to Islington but it's worth the trip. Better value for money than Murdoch's. Hair and Beard trim a good price and can be done in an hour. Open early and into the evening so you can go after work. Greg is my top barber. Consistently excellent and i go into work the next day and receive loads of compliments. Buy the products too. I use structure cream and sea salt spray. Both very good quality.

A fantastic gents hairdressers, would definitely recommend. The shop has a great atmosphere with good mod/soul/indie music and espressos. A wash and a cut usually takes around half an hour, Greg has been cutting my hair for a while now and it's been spot on every time. Great value for money, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Great atmosphere and great barber. I had a great haircut here and a nice chat. I have hair they tends to grow straight out and spikes if cut too short, and often other barbers can’t quite seem to understand it- but here they understood my hair type and were able to cater for this. The only reason I have knocked a star off is because the website promises an in depth consultation about what the barber would recommend, which is one of the reasons I went in as I am never quite sure what is best. Unfortunately I didn’t get this and it felt like my barber was itching to get started. That said- I did still get a great haircut out of it!

Had haircuts from both James and Sammy, both excellent cuts but regularly go to James. Always gives good advice and a sharp cut that's exactly what we discuss! Booked a Mod cut with Luke yesterday, really pleased with the result. Great attention to detail and the finished result is what I wanted. Luke provided plenty of tips and advice on how to style. In my view, great value for money. Shop really clean and felt really safe in light of all the safety measures for COVID, everyone in face masks and plenty of hand sanitizer available. If you’re thinking of going here I throughly recommend it. The shop is in a great location with cafes and pubs nearby.

I'm really picky about my hair and have changed barbers more time than I can remember until I found Gents of London about 3 years ago - I don't have my haircut anywhere else now. Over the past few years, I've changed my hairstyle several times but whatever impossible (and often badly worded) challenge I set Greg, he seems to be able to capture exactly what I want. Not only is he talented at what he does, he also accommodates how your hair will grow out so that even after a few weeks, your haircut still looks fresh. The shop is clean and everyone who works there is very friendly. If you want a chat, they'll happily have a chat. If you'd rather have silence, they'll just get on with their job. I honestly couldn't recommend this place more.

How I longed for the delicate touch of Matts skilful fingertips during the apocalypse, each snip and press of the clippers brought back memories of a normal world, a world where we were free to converse, hug, shake hands and smile. Whilst I was having my hair washed I had to hold back the tears, as I didn’t want to alarm people in the surrounding area, I do feel that whilst my hair was being rinsed myself and Matt shared a very spiritual moment of normality and an understanding that we will make it through the void into a better day.

Unfortunately the result was not really good for me here; Note that I have short curly hair (so my comments may not apply to people with other type of hair) and I go for a short sides / length on top cut; the result for me was below the average service I usually get (including cheaper cuts). On a positive note, they are open to listening to comments and owner offered a refund after I was not satisfied with the result.
