This was my first time attending the salon. I had a treatment, trim and wig cornrows. I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and how well my hair was done. I’ve never felt so comfortable and welcomed at a salon. I’ll definitely be back.

My hair was washed and blowed dried by Talisha @elitehairlounge (the only person I trust in the British Isles to handle my hair wet) on Thursday and made my way down to Ebony B Salon on Saturday.
Initial Thoughts...
My appointment was at 1.30pm but my hair wasn't started until 2.30pm as the stylist was with another client. My stylist Jamillah was very approachable, easy to communicate with and handled my hair with care. The braid pattern wasn't exactly what I asked for but I was very pleased with the final outcome.
Style: Lemomade Braids - 15 Braids
Braiding Duration: 3 hours
Cost: £85 and I had to provide my own hair.
The salon wasn't pristine and had a more family and not professional vibe. One of the stylists had her daughter with her at work. Her daughter was very charismatic and played with the wigs displayed on the salon window and if memory serves correct she gave an impromptu catwalk across the salon floor as well as a mock YouTube tutorial. I personally was entertained but I did think some would find it unprofessional. Also my stylist ate Cheetos while braiding my hair and on one occasion some kanekalon braiding hair fell on the floor and she picked it up and braided it to my scalp (I said nothing but I wasn't happy about that).
My thoughts one week later...
This was my first time getting Lemomade Braids and it will probably be the last because the "Lemonade Side" gets frizzy quickly and doesn't fall flat so I had to tie my hair in a side ponytail. Also it's hard to move the hair off my face when it's time to take a shower, now I understand why some stylists do a row of single plaits underneath. My braids felt tight so I decided to remove them as I don't want to "lose my edges" as I have a fear of traction alopecia.
Final thoughts...
I don't think I will return to the salon as I think £85 for 15 braids is overpriced. The fact that the salon didn't provide the kanekalon hair disappointed me because I had to wait for the hair to be prepared (brushed and sectioned) and I felt this could have been done ahead of time to cut down on the appointment time. I would like to find one salon where I can wash, blow dry and braid my hair without experiencing mechanical damage to my fine 4b strands or my scalp. Based on this visit, I don't believe that this salon fits the bill for me; I watched the other stylist wash, blow dry and flat iron another client's hair and yes the final result looked good but I wasn't happy with the detangling methods used.
My quest for a professional natural hair specialist continues...

Had my naturally curly hair trimmed. Assumed it would be a curl by curl cut but was instead brushed out and then trimmed. Happy with the results- hair feels healthier and even.
Benieve was lovely and welcoming.
Reasonable price at £15

I’ve been going to Ebony B salon since 2017 for my treatments and trim. I’ve been happy with the services I’ve been provided and the advice given. My regular stylist is Benieve.
I find that I am able to ask questions about the treatment that was recommended on the day, as well as advice about how to maintain my hair in between appointments.
Benieve always shows me how much hair she is going to trim, which definitely helps reduce anxiety I have about trims.
For those of you who are looking to book, I would recommend it. I also recommend that you read the terms and conditions on the website when booking, because a lot of answers are on there and this is likely to prevent any misunderstandings on the day of your appointment.
I will also advise that you speak up and ask questions if you are not sure about the way things are being done or if you have a particular way you do things or product you use. I have found that the stylist will accommodate, provided that it not going to cause damage to your hair or problems to the services provided.
P.s. I recently had feed in braids done by Zuwena and I was really happy with it. I received a lot of compliments.

Very experienced, professional staff who are really friendly and make you feel so at home in their salon. Benieve is really talented and put so much care into washing, treating, trimming and silk pressing my hair. The result was fabulous and after having washed out the style a few weeks later my hair is actually a lot healthier than before!
Thank you so much!

The salon was clean 👍🏾
I went in for a trim met by professional and polite stylist.
Left with what I came for.
I would most definitely recommend EbonyB.
