Fosters London, I cannot praise you enough! From your wonderful reception staff, to your whole hair team! From the bottom of my heart, thank you ALL! Fosters London saved me from an absolute hair disaster of visiting a previous salon wanting to be blonde and instead ending up orange. My hair was cut immaculately by Ellena and coloured by Sasha. Sasha has delivered the exact hair colour I dreamed of and beyond that! Being able to achieve what I desired after having the hair that I had was a huge feat but Sasha, you knocked it out of the park! All the staff here are welcoming and lovely and it feels like a real family dynamic! This is now my go to Salon now. Thank you again!

It was my first time getting my hair dyed and Sasha was doing my hair and she really took care of me. She knew that I was very nervous because Ive never had my hair coloured and she made me feel really comfortable and also George assisted her for me and she was also very wonderful. I’m in love with my new hair, I’ve had so many compliments, I feel like a new person and it’s all because of Sasha. She’s amazing and super sweet and really knows what she’s doing. I hope when I go back for a touch up, she’ll be there to do my hair.

My first time here after looking for local salons with good reviews. I was sceptical at first only because the salon is open to having dogs ( I am severely allergic to dog/pet hairs ) but luckily there were no dogs on the day of my appointment. I went for a full hair colour change and had a pleasant experience. Was the first time I left a salon super impressed and amazed by the result of my hair colour. Although it was more expensive than I have ever had to pay for a colouring service. It was exactly what I imagined and more and the end result and care taken in producing the colour I wanted made up for it. Danny did such a superb job and I will definitely be returning here as my new local. All the staff there seem to be very friendly and polite. I was offered a drink and made to feel comfortable. Thank you to Fosters for making this experience lovely.

My whole experience at Foster was so brilliant from start to finish. I’ve been lucky enough to grow up having my hair cut+coloured by my Mum my entire life [she used to be a hair stylist] - so last week at age 29, I hadn’t actually ever walked into a hair salon and had my hair touched by anyone else. Ellena was amazing at making me feel comfortable in the space and absolutely smashed the brief. My hair was a mess after over a year of box dying it dark brown at home and I’d been feeling really low about how it was looking. I wanted a bleached section underneath and all of the washed out red tones of the brown cooling down. The results were incredible and I could not have been happier. I also had a shaggy mullet cut which I loved and Ellena also walked me through how to style it day to day. [Quick side note as I think it’s important to say] - the level of care that the whole team puts in is so special. My phone was sadly stolen out of my hand about half an hour before my appointment, and the whole team - from Ellena, to reception staff, to the other stylists - everyone really went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and safe. They genuinely care on a professional and personal level and for that reason I can’t see myself going anywhere else for any future hair appointments. Thanks all again so much x

Absolutely wonderful salon! I was late due to being stuck on a train and they were so calming and accommodating. The salon has such a lovely atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming, I had a terrible hair cut after lockdown and was quite anxious but Jack did an incredible job fixing the mishap! A massive thank you to Jack, Caitlin, and the receptionist. My experience at Fosters Shoreditch on 1 August 2021 went from negative to positive. Unfortunately, I was at Fosters for 8 long hours for just a balayage, which was prolonged due to the initial stylist who worked on my hair. The initial stylist who worked on my hair at Fosters did not to listen to my requests so my hair did not turn out the way I envisioned. That stylist tried to blame it on the fact that his English was not good and other factors. In my opinion, I have dealt with other stylists in the past whose command of English was similar, but the main difference was that other stylists listened, communicated with the customer throughout, and managed the customer’s expectations. Unfortunately, that stylist lacked these skills. I think that he did not take on constructive feedback professionally, he was defensive, and he just did what he wanted. As a result, Jack replaced that stylist and took over the colour process on my hair. Jack displayed professionalism, excellent active listening skills, and was willing to work with me to achieve the colour I anticipated. I cannot thank Jack enough for being so flexible to take over that stylist’s work. I can happily say that my hair turned out the way I wanted it in the end. Thank you, Jack! Also, I want to thank Caitlin and the receptionist for their opinions and attention to help rectify the initial situation.

Literally best hairdresser I’ve ever been to - and I’ve had some disastrous bleaches in the past! I first visited about 4 years ago when I had a really bad colour I needed rescuing from. Immediately was made to feel at home and felt like the colourists were not just experts but really listened to me and what I wanted. Have trekked across London to go here ever since, always been delighted with results - couldn’t recommend enough.

I went to Foster on a recommendation of a friend and it was the best Salon experience I have ever had. All the staff were professional and friendly. At each step they followed the covid rules but whilst retaining personal service for each client. Tom coloured and cut my hair and I can't fault him at all. I met with Danny and he did such an amazing job of correcting my hair. He was so thorough, professional and made me feel so comfortable. Got my hair done the day before the second lockdown at their Shoreditch branch. Despite them being extremely busy, they were so professional and welcoming. I was very happy with how my hair turned out and Taylor who did my colour was just brilliant. My hair lifted to a lovely creamy blond colour. Equally Lachlan who did my cut listened to what I wanted and did my cut beautifully and quickly. The environment in the salon is lovely and they are extremely diligent with following Covid-19 regulations. I don’t normally leave a salon 100% happy with how my hair has been done, but this time I have not one problem. I will absolutely be making this my regular salon. Thank you Foster London!

As a first time visitor and customer, the staff were very welcoming and efficient when it came to my consultation and my actual hair appointment: full balayage. Everyone was super friendly and always checked in in case I needed something. A special shout-out to Charlotte who did my hair, she really takes the time and effort in her work. I fully appreciate her taking the extra time to add a little something to my hair to make it look better, it truly shows that cares and values the work she puts in. With her, she ensures you do NOT go home disappointed. Overall, I had a great experience and I will be back for the next time I am in need of a hair appointment! They're my new hairdressers, for sure! To note, it's better to book an appointment via the phone instead of email.

The Fosters salon has a warm welcoming vibe. I am always welcomed by the wonderful Drew who is one of the owners. Drew makes you feel right at home straight away. The stylists are very talented at both colour and cutting. I have my hair coloured regularly with Andrea an amazing very experienced colourist. Andrea always listens attentively and makes sure you get the colour you really want.

I have been coming to Foster London for a few years and had the best experience with Lida today! It was my first time being styled by her and it was the most pleasant hairdressing experience I’ve ever had. There was no awkward silences or conversation etc which is important because of COVID but mainly I just like to sit and zone out. Having hearing aids can make a trip to the hairdressers stressful- because I’ve had hairdressers react poorly or be too rough around that area. But Lida was the most gentle hair dresser I’ve been to and was very mindful throughout. She also wore a transparent visor which was invaluable so I could understand what’s happening, I worried a lot about this beforehand!

Foster London are amazing, its the only place I would ever get my hair done now, and I travel from Lincoln. I went for a cut and highlights last week and was pushed for time as I had an appointment afterwards. Tom did my highlights, he is nothing short of brilliant. Nicola cut my hair and she is great too. Between them they worked together to get my hair looking good and out of the salon in time. Tom gave me special conditioner to take home to fix the poor condition that my hair was in due to another salon messing up my last colour. I love them!

TOM is amazing !! Visited him last month as my roots were terribly grown out, and it was a big job, but he was fantastic, patient and so thorough - I have never been happier with my colour. I’ve had trouble finding a hairdresser in London who gets the colour of my white blonde hair ‘right’ and Tom got it spot on, he knew and understood exactly what I wanted. I felt amazing when I left the salon, I felt like a new woman ! The whole vibe of the salon is beautiful, I love the look and design, so much nicer than the minimalistic look of other salons. The downstairs area where the basins are is like being in a Moroccan spa 😍. I can’t wait to visit again soon, to see Tom and Nicola and all the other lovely, genuine staff there.

I’ve been to Foster London in the past to have my hair coloured and had a really positive experience. This evening though, I had an appointment with Hayley, the beautician. Hayley is awesome - really down to earth and genuine. She was quick and capable - my eyebrows and eyelashes look ace. I’ve been to so many different salons for eyebrow waxing in search of the holy grail - a skilled therapist who does a mega job, doesn’t bother with a ‘spa voice’ and is easy to chat to. The search is over! Highly recommended.

I rarely write reviews but the team at Foster London well and truly deserves it. After living in New York for a long time, I have tried a lot of salons in London but none come close to the experience and quality you get at Foster. All the stylists are really strong but Tom and Aimee excel in particular. Tom is very talented with color and really takes the time to discuss what you're looking for, offering ideas and suggestions if you're not sure. Other perks include a beautiful salon, kind people and reasonable prices for London. It's a must.

Long story short, I am so scared of hairdressers as many have gone too short and not listened or just weren't that great so I looked around for somewhere that was highly rated and close to home. I found Foster London and after reading reviews I decided to book in and was excited to do so! Had such a good feeling about them. The salon had such a lovely vibe, I'm not very confident but strangely I felt at ease and very comfortable. The staff were so friendly and genuine (Not pretending to be interested in what you're saying whilst wearing a fake smile!). They have a drinks menu and when your drink arrives you even get a little treat which is so cute and such a great touch, really nice! Lauren was beyond amazing, such a lovely lady and she listened to everything I had to say! I can honestly say that I had the best haircut I've ever had! Normally hairdresses blowdry my hair straight which ends up being so flat it's horrible! But Lauren finished my hair in lovely soft waves which I'd always seen and loved on others, I felt great, my hair looked amazing and she hardly took anything off as we'd discussed so I still have a lot of length which I am so happy about! The long layers are so minimal that they've added life to my hair without being a bit much like my previous layers! They're a hidden gem and I am so happy I found them!! Definately recommend :)

I read the good reviews and went warily to have my very dark hair highlighted. Billie Mo did a fantastic job. My hair did not go orange or brassy and looked great for weeks and weeks after my colour. They really listen and do their best to give the client what they want. Excellent salon and colourist.

I have frequented Forster London every month since I moved to Shoreditch in 2012. I'm not even fussy about the hairdresser I see when I visit as they are all fabulous! I go there for a cut and colour and always walk out happy. The salon itself has funky décor and a friendly and down-to-earth vibe which makes getting your hair done a genuinely relaxing experience. As an added bonus the prices are really reasonable for the area.

I've had a couple of great cuts from Josh now. He's always friendly and able to suggest interesting options for adjusting the look. If you go on the weekend there's always interesting people watching on this now busy corner of Shoreditch.
