Honestly this place is class, I’ve been getting my hair cut here for over 7 years now and haven’t had one problem, the staff are all welcoming and it’s never awkward because there’s always a conversation going on and your never left out of it as they always take and involve you into it. I’d recommend if new to the area or if your looking for a new barber they’re probably the best in walworth personally.

This was my local barbers but then I moved, this hasn’t stopped me going back there every 2 - 3 weeks. There is always a relaxed and humble atmosphere at George’s, the staff are polite, funny and above all professional. Customer service, professionalism and cleanliness A plus’s all round!

I discovered Michael at George's Hairdressers 6 weeks ago and have just gone back for a second cut today. Michael is a genius at cutting and styling! I have a shortish pixie-like cut with a wispy fringe, and he knew exactly what I wanted, and ensured his cut suited my face and shape of my head. The salon is clean and conforms to Covid regulations, the staff are very friendly, and the price of my trim, wash and blow-dry is so unbelievably reasonable, and takes only about 30 minutes. Finally, my first cut, 6 weeks ago, looked as good 5 weeks later as it had when Michael first cut it. Never again will I waste my money on high-priced London salons which charge £50+ for a cut and you end up hating it anyway!

What a fantastic place to have found. From the moment I walked through the doors, staff were friendly & helpful. The salon (as I like to call it) is huge, clean and modern. I expected a small barber’s shop, as the name suggests. It’s anything but. Celia did my Brazilian keratin treatment. Wow. She’s fantastic. I do this treatment usually twice a year and have been doing it for 6 years now. She’s a gem. Knows her stuff. You will definitely see me every 4 months. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.

I would highly recommend this local traditional barbers. It has a ladies section upstairs. A lovely lady called Angela cut my hair. She did everything I asked for, and I was very pleased with my haircut. She was very friendly, and she put me at ease immediately. I would.therefore highly recommend Angela at this salon as being a very accomplished hairdresser, charging very reasonable rates. I was also very impressed with the overall haircutting standards in both the ladies and men sections. Spotlessly clean salon also. Thank you.

I am and my friend Terry have been coming here for somewhere between ten and twenty years. Service is courteous, and professional. Nearly always excellent cuts. The prices are not the cheapest on the Walworth Road, but are still resonable and, given the size of the salon, the decent wages paid to staff, and the quality of the service, they reprsent good value.

I’ve been getting my haircuts with Marco, for about half a year now, and he never fails to make the entire experience a delightful one, full of laughs and great conversation. Had my highlights done here already 3 times and also got a haircut. I'm very curly and it's really hard to handle my hair but Angela was absolutely amazing, she did a great job and my hair look fantastic. Don't let yourself be intimidated by all the men coming in and out (they very popular!), there is a whole upper floor dedicated just to women where you can relax and enjoy getting pampered. The whole stuff is friendly and put you very much at ease. They listen to you and ask you the right questions to get to the best result! I definitely recommend it!

Best barbers in town. Been coming here for 5 years and as a man who likes to take pride in his appearance I'm very particular about who I let cut my hair. Michael is the owner of the establishment and is my barber. He does such an amazing job everytime I go, that I've nicknamed it the Michael special. I never have to tell the barber how I like it as hes remembered since the 1st time i came. Which shows me that they value there regulars here at George's and like to apply that personal touch which I really appreciate. Barbers isnt always about the haircut it's also about the experience the entertainment and the general conversation you can find yourself in. And Georges is nothing short of that, all the staff have amazing personalities and i always have a laugh when I visit. Recently renovated and is very modern inside, with a ladies section that has all the modcons, sunbeds, you name it. George's barbers has it. I should have done this review years ago as this is walworth roads best kept secret.
