I have had my hair cut by Nick twice now and I was very happy! Really lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Always offer you and tea or coffee when you walk in, really lovely guys. The haircut was fab too! Would recommend to everyone:)

An absolute gem of a hairdressers and so lucky to have right on my doorstep in Hackney Central. A gorgeous salon and Nick and Kev make you feel right at home straight away - so welcoming and friendly. I have my colour and hair cut by Nick who does an amazing job every time - the service is 5* with varied drink options plus chocolate treats throughout your treatment so you walk out feeling amazing with great hair. It's a brilliant experience from start to finish. A++++++++ would highly recommend :)

I've lived in Hackney for over 10 years and have tried many hairdressers around the borough. I've finally found my favourite. The haircuts have been first-class from both Kevin and Nick and both have excellent chat. They also play good music, which is an added bonus. The prices are extremely fair for the quality of service.

Had my hair cut and coloured here a few months ago, they did such a great job on it I have been telling all my friends to go here! Was provided with endless cups of tea (and a dark and stormy), the colour still looks great and the cut still feels fresh! Went back last week for a fringe trim, great service as always. Will definitely be coming back to Hackney Style Council for any future hair cuts.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Style Council. Great, friendly atmosphere, with a beautifully styled salon, with glasses full of chocolates and sweets. Nick (who I followed there from Islington) listens and always cuts my hair exactly as I ask him to. I will definitely be returning. Very close to Hackney Central overground too.

I visited Hackney style council for the first time and had Kevin cut my hair. Lovely, welcoming staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. I had my hair coloured by Nick and he did an amazing job! I didn't give Nick much direction other than, I wanted to be more blonde, and he gave me a really nice, natural look. The atmosphere was very relaxing, friendly and inclusive. Nick is lovely and chatty and definitely puts you at ease. I had highlights and a haircut, both at a really good price for the area and the haircut was great too! I also had a massive hangover and Nick brought me snacks, he definitely goes the extra mile for his customers! I'll be back again soon for another chop. :)

Hackney Style Council formerly known as Samson & Delilah screams quality and charm. I had my hair coloured (Balayage) by the wonderful Martina, I was over the moon with the results and was so impressed with the service that was given during the process as well as the aftercare guidance in how to maintain and look after the colour. Great customer service (She is now my go to colourist). Following this I had a cut by Kevin who I have been going to for years now. Kevin always delivers such a top notch cut, the attention to detail is insane coupled with he's vibrant personality in being able to put the customer at ease.

What a relief it was to find the lovely Melissa and Sophie at Samson & Deliah! I received the most divine cut and colour (highlights) at my initial appointment which I had felt nervous about having been with my previous hairdresser for over 15 years. Both Melissa and Sophie made me feel at ease and their attention to detail was meticulous for both the highlights (Sophie) and cut (Melissa). The salon is funky and relaxing. I went into the S&D's with patchy hair and eye soaring hot roots! Melissa took her time and went through my hair to assess how she could rectify the mess I had made of myself through using several box dyes. Melissa was very professional, knew her stuff and coloured my hair to perfection. She even coloured my extentions which also look super fab. Staying in Hackney for a cheeky weekend, needed a super blow dry for a party. Samson and Delilah’s website was very eye catching and easy to navigate. Booking easily made at 6am for pm same day. Luke was great. Very happy with his skills. Friendly, professional and helpful, even got some complementary trip advice for holidaying in Hackney! Highly recommend :D

Honestly never review anything, but after years of fearing hairdressers more than dentists I finally found the one for me! Kevin is an absolute hero who made me feel so comfortable after having had some bad experiences with hairdressers in the past and made me feel so reassured by spending the time making sure we were getting the hairstyle exactly how I wanted it. The cut was incredible, and I was able to pop back in to get my bangs trimmed. Have another appointment booked and feeling incredibly ready for another hair reboot thanks to Hackney Style Council. Cannot recommend highly enough!
