You're looked after by such wonderfully warm employees from start to finish who couldn't be more attentive, from taking my coat to never leaving my coffee cup empty - every visit I feel really looked after. Amelia knew exactly what I was looking to achieve from my colour / cut and really takes the time to get to know your style giving her guidance along the way. Colour with Amelia also last 2-3 weeks longer than elsewhere else I've ever been which is awesome, she definitely has the magic touch! Couldn't recommend Amelia & the whole team at Hare & Bone enough! A*

Update Sep 2021: I've been going to this salon for over three years now and absolutely love it. Every stylist is really amazing - I've had cuts and colours with Jade, Jamie and Ernie, but any one of the stylists will do a great job. I've recommended friends over the years and they also have become loyal customers. What I love about HARE & BONE is that they make sure to pick a hairstyle that is manageable for your lifestyle and maintenance needs. I want something that looks nice but is also easy to maintain and won't cost a fortune in ongoing colour and cuts. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair, both from friends and even strangers in the street.

Ernie cut my long hair cut into a bob and she was brilliant! Instantly understood the messy/Parisian vibe I was looking for and was full of tips for styling and maintaining the look. Will def return! The environment in general is friendly and professional but feels a little claustrophobic in the basement. Otherwise, really great service.

Fabulous experience, top expertise and start to finish great experience! It's all too often client write bad reviews when things don't turn out as expected or the quality of a product isn't what they expected. When things go well or they have a professional experience, they appreciate it yet don't take time to write about it. So today I'm writing a review because I have been so pleased with Hare and Bone, Fitzrovia. I was recommended Hare & Bone by my wife and sister who have been to see the team, and specifically Jade and Amy. Their hair style and colour has always looked glamorous and so I took a punt and left my barber and grew my hair to get a style to give me a contemporaneous yet professional look, and the journey was A+. Working in a form of customer service myself, I always train my team that from point of contact to follow up after the client leaves, all the steps have to personable and informative. Clients have to feel like they are the most important person in that room at any one time and this is exactly how I felt about today's visit. Apologies if I have forgotten the names of the front of house, but I'm sure your team can work that one out. I was greeted in a bubbly and smiling fashion, the front of house staff introduced themselves and offered me a drink as I sat back and waited for my hair cut. The wait was not too long and promptly as booked ahead of time, I was met by Jamie. He introduced himself and asked questions aimed at getting to know me as a person, what I do, how my lifestyle fits around my hair and what my hair-care regime is like. This was completed in the front seating area. After showing him a few photos of suggested styles he brought me over and we had a consult in front of a mirror where he explained my facial aesthetics, bone structure, width and assessed the volume and type of hair and what could potentially be achieved. This is the first time I have had such a thorough assessment, and we decided on what kind of style would suit my facial pattern but also give me a look I was after. Next was the handover to one of the junior stylist (again sorry for forgetting his name!) who got me ready for my style. He washed my hair, made me feel at ease and relaxed (along with the comfortable massaging chair), and gave me a nice head massage as a bonus (always helps between shifts :) . Next was time for the hair cut and style. Jamie was very informative, teaching what ways to best to care for my hair, why he was cutting the hair he does and what affect this will have to not only the look but also maintenance on a daily basis. Discussion was easy and free-flowing, and he even told me about the ethos and stand out features of who Hare and Bone are and how that relates to me as a customer. I much prefer a niche environment that has a story and is genuine, and it seems that was true with Jamie and who Hare & Bone are. After the initial trim, the hair was blow-dried and then further cut to give it the depth, layers and style we were both after. And Jamie for sure delivered! At no point was there a feeling of being rushed, Jamie recommended when to see him next, what products to use to shampoo, condition and style the hair and I was given a tutorial how to style it to give me a reproducible look I'm after day-on-day. Finally, the check-out was professional, smiles all around and really I felt like a VIP. Nowadays with so much competition in the customer service culture we have, clients are not looking for just a style or hair-cut, they are looking for an experience, and it's exactly what I received. I'd like to thank my wife and sister for recommendations, the whole team for the top-quality service and especially Jamie for delivering me a fresh look that give me the confidence to present, lecture and provide treatment for my clients. I'm pretty sure all your other stylists/directors are just as competent. I can't stop feeling positive and smiling and that says everything about your service. See you in a couple of weeks; I think I may have just found a brand I believe in and will stay with! Stefan

Amy was immense. She understood what I wanted and made me feel at ease throughout the entire time I was there. I can’t stress enough how much I feel like a new woman walking out of there thanks to Amy. Yes - it was pricey, but, it was worth it.

I have been having my hair coloured and cut for a little while now with Amelia she knows exactly what colour and cut suits me. It’s so nice to just relax and let Amelia as always do it perfectly. The rest are the staff are lovely too so friendly and the atmosphere is so relaxing I always look forward to my next appointment.

I visited Hare and Bone for the first time last week for a colour and blow dry. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that my hair has never been coloured so well. The stylist I saw was José and what he was utterly brilliant at was taking the time to ask questions about my hair and previous colouring, discussing possible options, looking through pictures with me and then explaining, precisely and technically, what he would do this time and in the future. I had complete trust in him and he clearly knows his stuff. The results are beautiful and I’m thrilled with how my hair looks. The day after, I was stopped in a department store and a complete stranger stopped me to say how lovely my hair was - this has never happened to me! I cannot recommend this salon, and in particular José, enough.
