Amazing! Excellent colour and cut. Marko really listened to what I wanted and offered up thoughtful suggestions for what would work for me. My hair looks better than I could have imagined and I will definitely be coming back.

Marco is my absolute saviour! My hair was suffering from chemical damage and was in a complete state, having searched for a reliable and highly rated hairdresser in the area I found Marco. I called to speak with him and he fit me in on the same day. Having almost burst in to tears upon arrival, he comforted me through my 'close to breakdown' state and reassured me that my hair was salvageable and that cutting it 'all off' was not necessary, which honestly was what I had started to believe was my only option. I have very long hair, as have been growing it for some time and unfortunately in an attempt to treat myself to a colour (by another non local salon) my hair suffered tremendous damage. I explained everything to Marco and along with doing what was possible for me at the time, we discussed a long term strategy to nurse my hair back to a healthy condition. During my first visit he cut off the absolute minimum and applied a restoring treatment. Well the immediate results where outstanding, I could not believe the change! I am so relieved and happy with the results, including the effects of the restoring products he recommended to me. I came to Marco in a moment of complete desperation and he could not have been more a saint! I couldn't imagine ever going to another hairstylist.

Marco is a fantastic stylist. My initial appointment he took the time to talk about my lifestyle & what I liked & didn't like about my hair. His knowledge on hair types & the best way to look after your hair is second to none. The actual experience at his salon is laid back & relaxed. Marco is one of the most talented and skilled stylist I have met. My hair is naturally curly and dry, and because I straighten it a couple of times a week it's always been in pretty bad shape (dry, brittle, tons of breakage). Marco completely repaired and restored my hair and what's amazing is that it was not a temporary fix but a long term treatment so that I can better manage my hair. I recently did a cut, color, and even a collagen treatment (highly recommend for silky hair!) and my hair after three weeks is phenomenal. Not only does Marco know what he's doing, but each time I go to see him, he puts all of his energy in perfecting my hair exactly how I like it or I leave it to his discretion because I know whatever it will be it'll be amazing. If you're like me and have had terrible experiences at other salons, fear not - Marco is an exceptional stylist and I can confidently say you will be in good hands.

Marco has been cutting my hair for around 8 years. He's the best and I've followed him from previous salons to this one, his own. Not only do I trust him completely with my hair colour and cut and it has never gone wrong, but Marco is great company, a gracious host (bringing really good coffee or tea) and does the greatest ever head massages.

It took me almost two years to find a hairdresser in London that I really like and want to go back to. I've been to Marco twice now and I can safely say I found my go-to hair place. Marco is a fantastic at both colour and cutting and did my hair exactly how I wanted even though I couldn't really explain it properly. He just knew what would look good and it did. Also love that it's a small salon, very cosy and personable. Good music, good coffee and you get a really great, genuine service. Highly recommend it! Oh, and if you want a massage, there is a therapist in the same place ;)

Marco was honestly, amazing. The place it's beautiful, clean and cozy. I came here for a haircut & highlights (For the first time! I had never coloured my hair before) and I left feeling incredible. My hair is very South American like (long straight thick black hair) so I know everytime I go to a salon everyone gets tired with me because everything takes so long. Marco took his time, I honestly can't remember the last time someone took so much time making sure the haircut looked nice, light and with movement. In general was a great experience and will definitely come back :)

I haven't been to hair salon in over a decade as I didn't quite feel comfortable going into one or trusting that my hair would be in good hands. However, the condition of my hair was deteriorating and I knew that I needed to get it done professionally. I opted for Marco Carola after discovering that you have a 1 to 1 session with Marco rather than enduring the hustle and bustle of other salons. It's just you and Marco in the salon as you get your hair done which promotes a relaxing and laid back atmosphere. The service and cut exceeded all my expectations Marco really understood what to do with my hair and how to make it work with what I already had without making a dramatic change. The cut gave my hair shape that it didn't have before and it felt lighter and healthier by the end. The blow dry was perfect but it was a shame it was pouring down with rain on the day when I left! Will be getting all future haircuts from here from now on.

Marco is a true stylist and fantastic hair dresser. I've never had a stylish short haircut until I found Marco. I'd highly recommend you try him. He's done an amazing job helping me tame my frizzy hair in the humid london weather.

Marco did my balayage a few months ago and the results were amazing. I told him I wanted my hair to be slightly lighter in colour but still looks professional and he chose the perfect colours for me. Four months later, my balayage still looks vibrant. He really knows his craft inside out. He even knew the technical/sciency info about all the hair questions I asked him. I went back for a collagen treatment recently and the result is once again amazing. Service is excellent. He doesn't hard-sell and genuinely cares about your hair. Would trust him with everything hair related. Update: This is my third balayage with Marco and I didn't even bother researching hair colour beforehand anymore. I trust his taste completely! Amazing results and attentive as always. Despite me constantly putting my hair under stress, under Marco's care, it has never looked better! Highly recommended.

After the amazing haircut I've just had, I had to leave a review. This was only second time I'd been to Marco - after finding him through what was wahanda and is now treatwell - but I can safely say he's a perfectionist and I think I've finally found someone I can trust with my hair. Marco had a really good sense of what suits my face and how to work with my hair - it's actually fairly fine but long and there's A LOT of it. This has been lost on past hairdressers but not Marco. He knew as soon as I sat down that just putting in basic layers to thin it out would leave a wedge of hair around my face and an ultra thin layer poking out the bottom. But on the other side, not breaking and chopping it up enough would mean a mass of hair everywhere. It's past experiences like these that have meant, in my 10 years of living in London, I've never been to the same hairdresser twice. I'm pleased to say that's now changed. I guess the only other thing to add is that, for the level of dedication he puts into each cut, the value for money is fantastic and I hope it doesn’t change. I'd definitely recommend trying him out, at least with one of the offers and especially if you fancy a restyle but with someone who can suggest ideas and is honest about what will work. I hope it works for you too.
