I went in for the first time for a beard reshape at 10:00am on my wedding day. In retrospect (given the barber’s advice) I should have gone in for a few appointments over the course of a few months beforehand to try different styles. However, the barber was extremely knowledgeable and she did an amazing job for my big day. We discussed ideas and she knew precisely why some other barbers recommended a shorter beard on me, but we tried something which kept the length I wanted. I was very well warned that there was no going back if we went down certain routes. The shop itself was clean, calm, and everyone there was very friendly.

I've been coming here for about a year now so I feel I can give an honest review of the place. I think the old adage, 'you get what you pay for' applies very well to Murdock. It's pricier than the places I used to get my hair cut but it's also markedly better, I book Aaron to do my hair and he cuts/styles it better than anyone else I've ever had cut it. Everyone there is very friendly, they give you a beer with the cut, the chat is always great and my hair looks better than it ever has despite a slight retreat in my not so old age. What more could you want from a barbers?

Beard experts and men's haircuts. This is a great place to go for someone who wants a more natural beard cut, instead of the very clear, defined lines that are popular with some guys. If you've got a new beard and need help figuring out how to make it look best, definitely try the beard reshape with a senior barber. They'll take their time, walk through options, and make recommendations. £20-£35. Maybe cheaper for quick trim options

Really good Haircut. Had booked in with one Barber who was ill, but ended up with Ryan cutting my hair. He listened and offered some good advice and then gave me a great haircut. Good communication, attention to detail and customer service. Also, very good technique and took care. Very happy.

Okay cut, the guy was really nice but definitely not worth £45. Shouldn't really have to pay more than £20 and they are pretty forceful to get you to book 4 weeks ahead again once they've finished your hair cut. Also they try to upsell you on hair product pretty damn hard. One tip, always let the customer style their own hair too, notice how everyone re styles it once you've finished cutting it? Other than that, not bad.

Made a call quite late today and got booked in for the time I wanted straight away. The lady who took my call was very customer focused as well as friendly and slotted me in with Joshua at 2.15. Perfect! I got there a little early and Joshua cut short his lunch break to reshape my beard. He gave my beard the full works and as usual was friendly and gave an excellent cut to my beard. This guy is first class! I highly recommend this barber he is exceptional. Great value for money too. Will be popping back in a few weeks for a beard tidy up. Well done and I am well happy!

Awesome experience! I have been coming here for some time having tried other barbers. Always met with a warm greeting in a relaxed setting. The beard trims are excellent value but the full treatment with the hot towels and cutthroat is a great relaxing experience. All of the team are rated highly but I always book Aaron for a top cut and conversation. Products are worth trying, especially beard oils, shampoo and conditioners.

Had an amazing experience. Hair cut, full hot towel shave. Super friendly staff, great products and fantastic service. Took about two hours with a wait at the start even though I was on time and it was quiet but otherwise flawless. I've had a number of hot towel shaved and treatments in London (Jack the Clipper, Dunhill, other Turkish barbers) but this was the best. Only thing missing was the flame to get rid of any ear hair..

2nd time going to Murdocks (Shoreditch) for a beard trim and I have to say that once again, I'm really happy with the service I've recieved. I saw Hannah the first time and was sure to book her again because she was brilliant in taking care of my facial fluff, and put up with me waffling on about how I was scared of damaging the progress of my 6th months worth of beard growth. Hannah listened to my input and what I was hoping to achieve and took that into account and I was really pleased with what Hannah produced, giving my beard such a great shape and somehow making it look so much thicker! One immediate observation from a friend of mine was that I went from a generous 2, to a solid 6 with my new beard trim. So good times all round 👍🏻 I went back today for a quick trim to neaten things up and once again I'm really pleased with it. I plan to keep going back every month. Love it here and genuinely look forward to going back.

True top-notch barbers- I've been going to Murdock Shoreditch for over 5 years and always have my appointment there with Gwen the Head Barber. Her skills are second to none and, whilst I only go there a couple of times a year for a treat to myself getting the 'full service' (hair, beard & facial) I always leave smart and refreshed. I also only ever buy their products for my beard- their beard shampoo, condition, moisturiser and oil are the only products I've found the look after my beard and my face beneath. Top notch guys- keep it up!

Best barbershop I've been in London. The people there know their craft and are eager to share information with you and explain your every question. Sth difficult to find in London. Really ask anything you want to know about your hair and hairstyle. Only downside is the price though as it's quite expensive. You can check it out in their website which surprisingly really good.

When I arrived early I was offered water or coffee it's only when I realised the was bar service and asked for a wiskey it was provided. Also was not asked if I wanted products or to book for next time felt a bit unwelcome tbh. For £50 there is better value around

Firstly I must say I was impressed with the service, and the cut was EXCELLENT, I even purchased a product used on my hair. However I was surprised to be charged £56, since that is for restyling price and I wanted the same style just shorter as had overgrown. After I questioned the price, as said £45 on the website, my bill was adjusted down to £45. So yes in the end I was happy, but I had to remove 1 star for initially overcharging me in my mind.

I paid for the hour long restyle consultation, but that's not what I got. She expected me to know exactly what I wanted (offering no actual advice or ideas) and was done in forty minutes. I just ended up with a slightly tidier version of what I already had, and I could have got that for half the price at any high street hair dressers.

Fantastic experience every time. I now have my barber, Gwen, that I see each time. It's great building that relationship, as we nurture my beard together! From the warm welcome of Jacob at the welcome desk, through to your time with your barber, the experience is nothing short of feeling like a true gentleman. Aaron, and all the other barbers, are equally skilled and pleasant to spend time with. The range of grooming products that Murdock's have are sublime. I personally use the beard oil, moisturiser, beard shampoo and conditioner and some shaving pre-oil (for my neck and head!) The products are very high quality, and in very beautiful simple packaging. Also works great as a treat for someone else, or maybe buy someone a grooming gift so they can be barbered? As a gentleman, you deserve proper 'you time'. This is the place, go and enjoy yourself.

They also have an excellent range of products, if you have a beard the moisturiser is an absolute must. Also loving their Napier cologne. Top notch all round!

As ever, a great haircut from Gwen. Great styling and service. Big issue though is the fact that the Sea Salt product always runs out and is not restocked regularly enough. I had to go down the road and buy a competitor product that I haven't tried before, which isn't ideal. Need to up the numbers of Sea Salt products available as it's so good - don't make the customer go and find alternatives!

As well as the friendly service, something to drink on arrival and the cool surroundings always make coming here feel like a bit of a treat. Good range of products to choose from too.

Really friendly, fast service. I dropped in for a beard trim late morning on a Tuesday. I was seen within 10 minutes and the trim was fantastic. This isn't the cheapest place but the quality is great.

As a follically challenged kinda chap - i can 'do' my hair in about 30 seconds with a razor in the shower. But when it comes to keeping a beard in trim, theres no substitute for calling in the professionals. A good beard comes with good care - they take their time here and do a fantastic job. Theres also wet shaving for a clean look - and they do haircuts too apparently - though it sometime since i needed one - call in to book an appointment and get treated like a gentleman. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
