I’ve been using Jay for about 3/4 years now, I started using him because I worked in the city and Pall Mall Barbers had very good reviews and it was local to my job. My whole experience was of top level barbering and hospitality. Firstly booking an appointment was very easy and quick, as you can do this via their website, app or by calling the store. They provided me with an appointment that worked around my busy schedule and worked well within their time slot, to ensure I did not miss my meeting after. When I arrived at the shop, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming environment from all staff, and especially the Barber who was cutting my hair ( Matthew ). He worked tirelessly to provide me with a top quality service, as I had asked for a difficult skin fade. Will definitely be a returning customer at Pall Mall Barbers.

This is the second Pall Mall I have been too and the same high standards is as present as the first. Experienced barber Christian put me at ease and was very attentive to what I wanted in my cut; he then offered to improve my look further knowing what would look good on my head. The barbers have been very good since lockdown ensuring it is safe; however the barbers have always had the highest standard for cleanliness. After covid I am sure they will offer the whiskey again which was such a nice touch!

I can't speak for the other barbers but I had my hair cut by Sara today and she is clearly a perfectionist, I think it was the first time I have been entirely happy with a haircut. They are quite pricey though and if you are changing styles instead of just having a tidy up the standard half hour appointment doesn't cover it, something to bear in mind. They also give you a lovely cup of coffee with your haircut.

Christian is a magician when it comes to shape ups. I walked in with a vague none visible hairline and walked out with probably the best shape up I've had in years. The staff are friendly, they take what you want very seriously and spend plenty of time making sure you get it. Offer tea and coffee while you wait and take on special requests. I've been going to the Bishopsgate store and I've been really impressed with the service provided by Alex. The place has a great vibe and its a proper gentleman's barber. I've been visiting Pall Mall Barbers at Bishopsgate for the last six months - ever since my regular barber (Nordine) moved across from a previous salon on Fleet Street. The location itself is great and the staff very friendly. The ability to book online and buy products is useful, and the complimentary whiskey alongside the cut is great. Nordine is a brilliant barber - the best cut I've had in my adult life. He takes great care to help me look after my thatch between visits and spent a lot of time getting to know my hair and how it grows. I found Pall Mall Barbers on Google after searching for a place close to work and reasonably priced. The reviews swayed me but I was also skeptical if the five stars, and now here I am rating the place 5 star. Truly the best haircut I’ve ever had. A “proper haircut” actually - and a really enjoyable close to my Friday. Even the rum was terrific! I highly recommend Martin, who cut my hair perfectly and also took the time to discuss shaving methods with me in response to a few questions I had. All of this done with genuine passion and care for his craft and a very friendly manner. I’ll never go back to a unisex salon!

Great experience, been to the original location in Trafalgar Square for years, followed my favourite barber and owner Daniel to the Fitzrovia shop but now I have Christian doing my hair in Bishopsgate. Go see Jay at the Bishopsgate location if you're looking for a solid haircut by an awesome barber. I am always quite hesitant to get my haircut by a new person, but Jay was quick to pick up on appropriate lengths to deal with my cowlicks. Worth me updating my original review below Covid-19 has been a strange and disruptive thing for all of us, it's crazy how simple enjoyments in life such a haircut can be restricted to you, I have particular empathy for the guys at Bishopsgate who were not seeing the same amount of foot fall due to the drop in city workers, or people going to barbers locally. Despite the Covid environment and working from home, I have tried my utmost to see Christian at Pall Mall Bishopsgate when I can. The relationship between a man and his barber is almost sacrosanct, so much of your wellbeing is linked to how you feel about your appearance. I am always sure when I go into Pall Mall I will have a good service and good bants with the whole crew there. I'd implore people to go in when they can (providing they can stay safe) and help support the guys! They are really good at what they do, which is giving you a good hair do. Original Review Picture it, me, looking halfway between a demagorgon suckerpunched by optimus prime. Unruly hair everywhere, firmly out of the "it has been 3-4 weeks since your last haircut" window. But alas no worries, Christian to the rescue. With a mixture of shaman magic and voodoo sorcery bringing my mane into control and allowing me to look human again (yes, lad). The above was a recap of my haircut yesterday with Christian. Seriously though, I've been going to Pall Mall for nearly 2 years, whilst it's on the expensive side for most (I always get comments such as you paid what) it's still not as expensive as places I've been to (Joe and Co et al). There is quite the collegiate atmosphere here, and a desire to deliver a good haircut. As a man on the wrong side of his 30s with dreaded thinning, Christian understands what is needed to work with my hair and keep me looking sharp. As a result I am always complimented post going to Pall Mall. My hair also grows out really well (I found with other barbers needing to go every 3 weeks).

As a gent with more hair on my face than on the top of my head, I'd gotten used to pretty lacklustre barber experiences: in the chair and out the door as quickly as possible, with little regard to what happens in between. Fortunately, that's not the case at Pall Mall Bishopsgate. I've been going to Christian for the better part of the past year for both my clipper cut and beard trim. He takes his time — he gives the same high quality service with a pair of clippers one would expect with a pair of scissors — and I walk out the door looking sharp. Pall Mall in Bishopsgate is hands down the best barbers I've come across. All staff are extremely friendly from the moment you arrive. I normally book in with Christian who's attention to detail really makes the difference but I'd also recommend the energetic and equally capable Georgia. Update (July 2019): Still by far the best barbers in the city but you really need to fix the air conditioning. It was 35 degrees yesterday and that combined with having to wear a suit and then sat in your leather chairs for 30mins, it wasn't the best experience! I'll still be back though but maybe when the temperature drops a bit.

After skimping on paying for haircuts for all of my adult life thus far, I decided to take things up a notch and visit Pall Mall barbers near where I work. Booking an appointment via a slick mobile app is ideal, especially in 2017 when no-one wants to talk to anyone they dont have to. I was listened to, I got what I wanted and recieved some advice for my hair/head shape and the people who work there are friendly and helpful with any of the noobie questions I may have. I was even offered a whisky on my first visit, don't think the phrase "you get what you pay for" has ever rung truer and most importantly, the end product was a great cut. So I originally stumbled upon Pall Mall after receiving what was quite possibly the worst undercut to ever exist from a nearby barber (baring in mind I didn’t ask for anything of the sort). The look on Christian’s face was a picture as I walked in, desperately trying not to laugh in case that was actually my desired hairstyle - he was relieved to discover it wasn’t. He then got to work on trying to rectify an unrectifiable mess of a haircut. I am still unsure how he managed it, but I came out happy with how my hair looked and managed to style out a shorter look for a while (I don’t think even Christian knew how he managed it - it was that unsavable at the time). I have been back with Christian ever since and I would recommend him to anyone - I certainly do not plan on going anywhere else as long as I am working in the City. Perfection every time, the attention to detail is absolutely superb - and to top it off he’s an extremely friendly guy. From what I’ve seen all the barbers in the shop seem to be excellent and very professional, I would have no hesitation going to anyone in Pall Mall Bishopsgate or recommending anyone the same.

Jay @ PMB is a very experienced and great hairdresser. The results are always perfect and he is also able to find solutions to handle my thin hears at the front of my head. The staff at PMB is very customer oriented. Once when I was there in the morning and the only guest, they asked me which music I like and than searched it online to play it. Even if there are a lot of people, they always ask you if you want to drink something (water, coffee, tee, whisky (!)). It is really extraordinary in a very positive way!

In a word, AWESOME! So, there I was, I stepped off the train at London Bridge and caught my reflection. I resembled a scarecrow with a head like a burst mattress. And so to Google to search for a decent barber in the area, this is where Pall Mall Barbers came in and you can't ignore the 4.9 Stars (hopefully to be 5 soon!). I made my appointment online, the way it should be, and it was so easy, again the way it should be, and the app told me I'll be seeing Christian at 1430. Brilliant! Arrival at PMB in Houndsditch was a welcome warmer than how my family greet me ! Lots of smiles and lovely people here which makes you feel good on entering. Then I met Christian, a man, who I can only describe as telepathic! He chatted to me and seemed to know exactly what I wanted, even though I didn't ! Onwards to the haircut, after a quick waterboarding session (my hair really needed washed!), Christian chatted away and exuded expert knowledge and knew exactly what to do. When it was done, I was really really ecstatically happy ! Gone was the scarecrow look, in was short and smart but not too short that I looked like some sort of West Ham fan <lolz?>.
