I have been going to Tame Barber since they opened really. Always forgot to give them a good review on Google but I am a regular customer and love them. The team is absolutely amazing, super professional and awesome haircuts. Really good value for money and the coffee is great too! Just try it and you won't regret it

Had a great experience at Tame Barber today, cut by Bawan - really cool guy and he did a great job. Online booking system really convenient, when I turned up I was offered a complimentary warm/cold drink and sat down in the cafe area. Great chat, great cut, great experience. Definitely "my" barber now. If you're looking for a new barber deffo check them out and support this local business. They're affiliated with Aveda - my hair is smelling amazing. Great that they offer discounted prices (for students etc too). Also was offered loads of tips to keep my hair looking good. 5 stars without a doubt.

I’ve been a resident of Stoke Newington for over 3 years now, and I can honestly say today at Tame Barber I’ve had the Best Haircut in a very long time. The complimentary Latte from the cafe was just as good as any local cafe. From the moment I entered, the service has been tremendous! I highly recommend Tame Barber to anyone who is in need of a haircut and lives in Stoke Newington and the surrounding area, its well worth the trip!

The idea having a small coffee shop inside the barber shop is a very good idea as giving the feeling of relaxation! Mr.T has been very helpedful and he knows very well his job!! I don’t live local to Stoke Newington but i came past here with my partner, he did need a haircut so he decided to try it out, the staff were very friendly, i sat and had coffee which was great, probably one of the nicest flat whites i’ve had in a while! He went for the wash & cut service and his haircut turned out great will definitely be back!

Perfect reshaping of my beard, especially as I'm now going for the eccentric look (a cross between Catweazle, George v, and and Edwardian gent! Especially as it was long overdue. Bawan was friendly, helpful and kind (I am disabled) Very professional and a perfectionist. I will be booking again in a month or so's time! Would highly recommend.

I took my two boys for haircuts here and can’t recommend it enough. My oldest son had a complete re-style and said it was the best haircut he’s ever had. The two barbers were very friendly and spent a long time and care giving the kids a brilliant cut. The space is lovely, coffee is great and prices reasonable.

Fantastic Barber in the heart of Stoke Newington which offers a BRILLIANT service. Mr T is my barber and has always been very personable and professional and whilst cutting chatted throughout. He has a great eye for detail. What I love about the whole experience was how relaxed it was, the cut never felt rushed. An absolutely first class service which I highly recommend! Great stuff!

I had a restyle booked with Bryan. Their website says it is a haircut with a longer consultation period. Having grown my hair for a good 7 months due to lockdown, I never had such long hair before in my life and was excited to try a new hairstyle. My usual barber left my usual, so I thought I'd try somewhere closer to home. I've always noticed Tame barber on walks, the aesthetic really intrigued me, I decided to give it a go. I got to the appointment 10 minutes early, I try to be as prompt as I can be. The shop looks super professional, with nice natural tones and the layout is inviting. Tick. I am greeted by the receptionist who is very welcoming and asks if I want a coffee. Tick. I can't comment on the quality of the coffee as I was fasting for religious purposes so I declined. 5 mins later they check in again to make sure, to make sure I absolutely don't want a coffee, again tick, they weren't aware I was fasting but marls for being attentive. Unfortunately that's where my positive experience ends. The barber ended up being 20 mins late to my appointment. As mentioned I'm fasting for religious purposes and you're meant to show forgiveness and empathy during this period, so forgave I did. I assumed the delay must have been due to them being open for the first time in months and it must have been really busy as a result. Bryan was very friendly, but I was surprised he didn't really make an apology about the lateness. I work in a customer facing role, and we always try to think of the experience of the Client. In the restaurant business if a meal is really late, 1 or 2 starters are on the house. I didn't get any such offer, anyways I thought at the time I should be zen and let it go. Sit down for the haircut. Here I was really excited about having a consultation, I paid extra for it. I was open to trying a new style and hoping for his creative input. Maybe I'm unfamiliar with what a consultation is but I went in with an expectation we'd have a detailed discussion about what I want, my routine etc. At my last barbers, even if I'd go in for a normal haircut to my regular he'd still spend at least 5 mins figuring that out. No such luck here, the conversation was under 2 minutes. The haircut took around 30-35 mins and looked "ok" once done. I think he realised he didn't have enough time till his next appointment as my hair was still wet when he was done. I was in a charitable mood and did actually tip the barber 15% because I thought it's been tough times for barbers and I've been privileged enough to be one of the lucky ones with a steady income so wanted to so my bit to help. I figured I should give them the benefit of doubt and give it a few days to live with the haircut and see how I settle with it. Days later and I have to say it's not what I wanted, the top and sides look disconnected, my family have said it doesn't really look like I had a proper haircut (wow, harsh famo), and it hasn't really grown out well. Usually I can go 4-6 weeks without needing a haircut but I'm itching to get it corrected. You could say that maybe what I wanted isn't suitable for my hair and that would be a fair assessment. However I would expect my barber to tell me that. Look, I hate being mean. It pains me to give really bad reviews. If you look at my google reviews, it's mostly positive but I can't in good conscience say this was a good experience. Maybe I was just unlucky, every business can't deliver perfect each time. I hope with this review comes across as fair, and that I have really tried to give the benefit of doubt. As much as it pains me to leave this review I felt the need to share the experience so potential customers see all forms of reviews, not just the sterling ones. 07/05 update: the company responded very quickly, and has made a kind offer to remediate the situation. I thank them for the offer but have decided to go back to my usual barbers to help support their business. I would add another half star for customer service if it was possible in light of their offer.

After having so much bad experiences at barbershops I gave Tame barbers a try and I kid you not they’re on a whole different level of barbering Ive seen with the top quality products they use (Aveda) to the hygiene levels in the shop was outstanding the staff are really friendly and welcoming, my usual haircuts a skinfade , the fade i walked out the shop with was soo good you could tell these guys know what they're doing. Also they have a nice coffee shop inside too i got offered a complimentary latte (amazing even better than costa coffee) which came with the haircut which was another bonus. All in all it was the best haircut Ive received ever definitely would recommend and ill be seeing the boys really soon.

Pandi is an excellent barber. The service here is great. I felt safe in a C19 sense - masks were worn and enough space was provided - bookings are well organised which means there's no queue of people waiting to be seen. Coffee/tea/bottled water was offered and much appreciated. The price was fair and I'm happy to pay that reasonable amount for the top quality hair cut I recieved. The place is nicely done out - clean, tidy and pleasant to be in. Good lighting, good vibe. I will definitely book again to have my hair cut by Pandi The Barber.

I've been following Tural for a number of years and he has always been a very professional barber that has a great eye for detail. I've trusted his judgement on the looks/styles that would suit me and he has never gone wrong. He has always had a great customer service and has made me feel welcome! The new Barbershop is clean, well lit and has a nice music playlist. And the coffee shop offers a great range of drinks! However, as I find out a new barber salon like “Tame Barber “ offering hair cuts on a perfect location,,,, I realised that services upgraded from standards to VIP levels because when I just walk in Tame barber friendly atmosphere put me in a good mood ........ What s more I don’t have to wait for hours to get a haircut because online booking is just there so that I get my hair cut at convenient time...........
