J. C.Wow is all I can say! After years of trying to find a hairdressers that can cut long curly hair properly, I found one, Lorraine knew exactly how to cut it. She listened to what I wanted and checked in with me frequently.
After I washed and styled my hair at home a couple of days later, I was amazed with how much my curl had been restored. I will definitely be back. X

D. T.I went in for a perm and a cut on Wednesday and had hands down one of the best hairdressers experiences I've ever had. Not only does my hair itself look amazing but the service was exemplary and very affordable, especially compared to other places I've been to. I might be getting their names wrong (sorry!) but Lorraine and Rebecca were both incredibly helpful and attentive, and even though they were the only two working the entire time (~3 hours) I was in there I never felt ignored or like I was an inconvenience to them, even when other customers were in.
On that note I was equally impressed by their adherence to social distancing and other health and safety measures during the coronavirus pandemic; upon arrival there's a sign on the door asking you to wait outside until called, which I have no problem with whatsoever, the shop itself is quite small so it makes sense to have as few people as possible in there at once. Once I was let in I was invited to disinfect my hands and then was seated, all the chairs had screen dividers between them, both members of staff wore masks or full face shields at all times, appointments seemed staggered so that there were no more than two of them present at any one time, and where at all possible we were seated at opposite ends of the salon. This is honestly the thing I was most concerned about whilst considering getting a haircut, but I have no regrets about going whatsoever, I felt entirely safe the whole time.
On a final note, I'm one of those people who really struggles to decide/communicate what I actually want done with my hair, I don't really know anything about style or fashion so I usually just have a very broad/rough idea of what I want it to look like, which can result in some hairdressers getting annoyed that I can't tell them exactly what I want and me ending up with a disappointing haircut because I don't want to irritate them further. The exact opposite was true of Lorraine who had clearly spent a lot of time thinking about what was the right choice for my hair, after she'd asked me to pop in and show it to her the day before my appointment, and was more than willing to make suggestions and help guide the decision making process.
I honeslty couldn't be happier with my haircut and will be returning to Evolve for my next one, as well as recommending them to friends and family.

Had my hair done for the second time at Evolve, love their suggestions on what to do with my hair. Plus they are cruelty free & very reasonably priced!! Couldn’t recommend enough :-)

F.I have been getting my bonce done here since about a year after they opened, I have also had my nails done, bought make up, vegan / cruelty free products and purchased many a raffle ticket to support the work these girls do regularly for charity. The whole experience is a joy for me. I am welcomed in with a lovely drink and snack, given advice about what I need cut and colour wise and then through some chatting and reading time, my colour sets. I love the wash part, when I REALLY relax and the cuts and colour always come out exactly as I wanted and if it doesn't (I had some concerns about a fringe once) it's quickly fixed. All the other clients are always lovely and I really look at my time at evolve as a 'me time treat'. I'm lucky enough to be able to say that my hairdresser is also my friend 😘

A. T.Fab hairdressers that are always friendly and know their stuff! I took my mum here as she was getting worried about her hair as she had some psoriasis on her scalp and it was affecting how she felt about herself. Lorraine and the team gave her a scalp treatment, hair cut and finish and made her feel 100 times better! She came out looking and feeling a million dollars! She commented to me afterwards that not having been there before, she felt really welcome and relaxed and that it was easy to chat to everyone. Thoroughly recommend for all your hair needs!

Great advice - I wanted to change my usual samey hair that I’ve always had and Evolve has helped me through midlife bright blue flashes and then super short curls, keeping me looking smart and professional throughout and never too outrageous. Very relaxing and well priced for extremely professional results.
