Last week I got a haircut with Erin and she did an amazing job with my hair. She cut it to what I wanted and the atmosphere was great. This was my third time going and the last two times I’ve had Patrick and Erin respectively and they’ve both been so great. Definitely worth the money and would go again!

Hands down the best barber shop in town!!! Patrick and his team are the most welcoming and professional team you could wish for. I've been coming for year and will continue to do so. I couldn't recommend them enough. I fully recommend Patrick and his team, who are as nice and professional as they come. Being someone with naturally thicker hair, I had a hard time finding a barber in Newcastle that could give me a proper trim. That all changed when a friend recommended Patrick, and I have not looked back since! He has always delivered with the best and most consistent haircut. The vibes and the friendly staff definitely make it a whole experience as well, rather than just getting a haircut. 10/10 would recommend!

17 years Paddy has been cutting my hair. Don’t think I need to say anymore (other than I’m not blind and I think it looks good). Love the atmosphere in the shop, when I worked nearby I’d go and sit in it during my break. The staff are awesome (Inserts joke about Erin being nuts but she’s class!). If you’ve not been to Paddy’s give it a go. Best place in Newcastle for a trim.

I’ve been a customer at Patrick Forster from pretty much when it opened over 8 years ago. Never disappoints and all of the staff are incredibly friendly and professional. I don’t normally leave reviews, but after seeing a couple of negative responses on Google reviews, I think appropriate to leave something in support of a fantastic local business and genuinely nice people. From the first time I visited the shop to the last, I’ve had nothing but great advice, sharp haircuts and friendly conversation (I’m in pretty much fortnightly). In over 8 years I’ve never not had my hair washed (it’s part of the service!) and as for some of the comments I’ve seen regarding race, they’re frankly utter nonsense and very disappointing. I’ve also taken my son for regular cuts for the last 4 years. He’s now 11 and has been treated with exactly the same respect and friendliness as any other paying customer and all of the staff make him feel incredibly welcome and important. It’s well worth becoming a regular as they make every effort to get to know you personally and always make sure you are well looked after. 5 stars from me!

The staff are all really nice and you can see they get on so well and also think of their customers as part of the family also. Took me over 33 years to find a barber shop I liked. Have been going to Paddy’s for 6-7 years now. Always warm and welcoming (from everyone), always does a good job and can tell everyone knows their clientele. Big fan of the massage chair, Jess makes a good coffee. Have been coming here for years now and always enjoy forgetting about the daily grind for 45minutes. Erin cuts my hair she cuts it perfect & she's always good banter, i can honestly say the first time she cut my hair i felt like id been getting it cut wrong for years! was great to catch up with all the team and I'll be back with my son Harry within a week, Kate has cut his hair for a good 4 or 5 years now, she SOOOO good and he wouldn't go anywhere else! such a friendly and welcoming shop. Been coming here since 2013 and wouldn’t go anywhere else! Patrick and the team always provide a great service, not just the haircut, but friendly and fun atmosphere in the shop. I’ve had my hair cut off all barbers spat from Dan and the quality never drops. I’m sure Dan is just the same, just never been able to get in with him! That speaks for itself! Don’t be going around having Shan haircuts, Paddy and the team will sort you out.

Cracking relaxed and friendly barbers, the team are like a family to eachother and their customers. Nothing is ever an issue and the banter is off the scale. Good free drink selection and even if theres a delay its worth it to be part of what is going on. The haircut is always brilliant with attention to detail, never rushed. This was my first time using a barber in Newcastle and I chose Patrick Forster based on their good reviews and how good their communication was on social media. The shop is nice and has a good atmosphere. Staff are welcoming and friendly and make you feel comfortable when you arrive and throughout and as I said very good comms on social media. Unfortunately didn't get the best trim and have been getting terrorised on the zooms and FaceTimes. I was happy to pay the £25 going in (even though I thought it was a bit pricey) due to their very good reviews online but I was disappointed by the end result. The agreed length wasn't executed very well but luckily hair grows back, not many people will see me during lockdown and I can always wear a hat. Looking at their reviews they do seem to be generally very good and I had quite long hair so maybe this was something they're not really used to dealing with. I would say if you're a bloke with longer hair then there could be better options elsewhere, otherwise probably go off their other reviews. Edit: I've kept in contact with their social media over the past few months and been back recently after growing my hair out. Had a much better end result this time and overall a very good experience. Staff friendly and welcoming as ever and will return in the future.

Haven't been here in a couple of years because I've lived away. My latest experience wasn't what I was used to with Patrick Forster's. The hair wash/back massage chair part was rushed and the chair wasn't turned on, this could be because of covid so fair enough I was surprised to be charged £25 for what was a back and sides haircut and little bits were missed around my ears which I noticed when I got home. I wouldn't really expect that with a £25 haircut which doesn't include a beard trim. *Edit in response to the mask comment: I was asked to take my mask off and didn't wear it during the cut.

A proper barbershop, staffed by professionals. Great decor, an excellent choice of complimentary whisky (try the Suntory or the Dalmore) and they sell hair products that don't require a mortgage to buy. Kate is the most skilled hairdresser I've ever had and Jess is my spirit animal. Five stars all round - nowhere in the Toon is better.

You know that awkward moment when the barber holds up the mirror to show you the back of your head and asks ‘how’s that for you?’, and even if it looks like you’ve been in for brain surgery following a car crash, you’re still saying ‘aye sound cheers’ aren’t you? With the brilliant Kate self-isolating, Dan stepped up in a big way and with outstanding attention to detail, professional work and total sympathy for my hastily retreating hairline, did a properly mint job, which with hair like mine, is no small compliment/achievement. Whether it's by him himself or one of the very talented girls, you're always made to feel VIP on a place that is frequented regularly by celebs/footballers.
