Been coming to Zazu since a was a little girl and never had a bad experience or go anywhere else! I have been all sorts of colours and Frazer always accommodates my ideas whilst also using his expertise. Usually I am not picking about my hair but today I had a actual look I wanted to go for, Frazer absolutely nailed it and it looked even better than I could have imagined!! Amazing word and such a lovely friendly atmosphere 💖

Just moved to the area and desperately needed my hair cut and styled. I read reviews of Zazu and thought I'd give them a try. Wow I couldn't be happier, Michelle is lovely and friendly and an excellent hair stylist. I'm in love with my hair and have booked my next appointment before I even left the salon. Michelle gave me the style I was wanting and also tips on how to blow dry my hair. Also you get a lovely welcome envelope. 100% recommend Zazu. Thank you Michelle. 😀

This was my first time at this hairdressers and definitely not my last. Robbie went beyond everything to cut and style my hair piece due to Alopecia. He spent well ove an hour and he saw me out of hours, he made sure my hair piece was fantastic. He is an amazing hairdresser and I look forward to see him again with another piece. One of the surprising things, in a good way, about getting older is that you can take pleasure in finding out that many of the preconceptions you had when you were younger – lines that woudn’t be crossed – are so far from the truth, it’s laughable. For example: 1) “always match your shoes to your handbag”…. Nah… far too Queen Mother (for those of us who can remember when The Queen had a mother!) 2) “boyfriends (husbands partners significant others) couldn’t possibly understand what it’s like when you don’t like your hair cut” - * more about that later 3) “if you want a good hairdresser, you must go into town” … I couldn’t be more wrong if I thought the world was square! The day I walked into Zazu, to make a general enquiry, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I had walked or driven past this salon most days for 15 years and had never gone in. However my hair stylist of 28 years had recently retired and I was on a mission to find a replacement. On this sunny Saturday Zazu was absolutely buzzing – all the chairs were full, there were fantastic colours being unveiled, enviable bobs being created and on-trend crops catching my eye. Wow. I took a price list. My research continued. Zazu had a website - my last salon didn’t, so this was another revelation. It was great to click into the individual stylists’ profiles – Robbie’s struck a cord, and also intrigued. He liked to do ‘undercuts’. I had no idea what an undercut was – but it sounded 21st century to me – so my choice was made – I made my appointment with Robbie, and have never looked back – he looks beyond my age, takes on board what I ask for and makes his own suggestions, which always turn out great. I was even stopped on an escalator in Kings Cross tube station and asked where I got my hair cut! I would urge anyone to try this fantastic, professional, forward thinking, friendly salon. When I sit in the chair and look around, every stylist is creating excellent work for some very happy clients. And not only that, Zazu has a fantastic range of hair products – my current favourite is label.m wax spray – very easy to use to keep your style in place without any kind of residue – you can even use it on damp hair whilst blow drying (thanks for the tip Robbie!). Check out label.m's texturising volume spray as well, it's perfect for energising your style before a night out. *Oh yes – that other thing I mentioned. A few months ago I was in the salon, and was watching Robbie finish his previous client – she had the most fantastic full mane of beautiful long balayaged hair – she was so pleased with the colour and re-style that Robbie had done, she was visibly moved. My curiosity got the better of me – I had to ask Robbie what the back story was. Apparently pushed for time, this lady had tried a newly opened salon near where she works, and was really unhappy with the results - she came to Robbie to see if he could help. He obviously did. Five minutes after the lady had left, a tall and forthright gentleman came bounding into the salon, went up to Robbie and gave him a massive man-hug and said “thanks for making my wife happy, she’s been miserable about her hair for weeks”. So that’s myth number 2 busted! Gail
