Hands down the best barber shop in Newport if not Wales! Chris is a top bloke and always makes an effort to make you feel welcome. The shop itself has an excellent atmosphere and cool aesthetic. The haircut I get is always exactly what I’ve asked for and faultless. The beard trim I get is also ‘a proper beard trim’ not a quick clipper job like you get in most other barbers. Would recommend to anyone!

First time visit to a barbers in decades as always cut my own hair and beard. Found Lamberts after Google search and glad I did. Chris is very professional and knowledgeable, not to mention a really nice guy too. Transformed my beard. Already looking to book my next appointment.

2 simple words OUTSTANDING & PROFESSIONAL. Had a fresh trim yesterday at Lamberts and its was 1st class. Safe to say this will be my new barbers from here on in. Simple to book, great correspondence. I arrived on time greeted with a smile and had a great experience. Not only was my hair cut perfectly the banter and chat was first rate. Easily the best barber in Newport and surrounding areas - prior to Covid the shop would always be full of people (including myself) willing to wait a good few hours for a fresh cut and beard trim - which says it all. Criss is a top bloke and gives 100% to every cut he does (even back when there might have been 10 people waiting in the queue) he is a true professional and happy to give advice when it comes to beards/haircuts. Wouldn’t consider going anywhere else 🙌🏻 The beard butters he makes himself are also top quality and smell incredible. There’s a reason why he’s got so many loyal customers. Lewis

Been going to Lamberts a little over two years now and can say with ease that it's the best barber shop in Newport, i'd go as far to say the best in Wales. Sick and tired of under skilled barbers ruining your beard, Giving you a wonky fade? Then this is the place for you! I’ve been going to criss since he first opened and his skill vastly out perform any other barber. The skill, the attention to detail, the attentiveness and professionalism is simply second to none! And if that isn’t enough... fancy a cool, mellow atmosphere, amazingly interesting decor ... and most importantly old skwl hip hop playing in the background? There’s a reason why I used to wait outside 2hours pre opening and happy to sit around all day just chill in’ for the convo.... this is a men’s version of a spa day! Go on, treat yourself... book an appointment and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Finally after many many attempts of trying to get in to this barber shop, i managed to arrive earlier than everyone else (1 hour before they opened!) I was not disappointed. Definitely worth the wait. Read about them in the newspaper, been trying to go since. Definitely will be returning and recommending. Believe all the hype you heard about this place. Came across criss’s shop last week so decided to take a look. With having a 11 year old with a disability and also Learning disability’s it’s always been pretty hard finding the right person to cut my sons hair. Given my son isn’t very trusting with new faces but I was pleasantly surprised to find that criss the owner of lamberts barber shop was amazing 🤩 with my son as we’ve been to lots of barbers/hairdressers in the past and they weren’t good lol visiting criss’s shop was so ☺️ would definitely recommend to anyone. His shop is emasculate, booking appointments are so easy and amazing reminder messaging service too😊 Will be booking my husband in too got his beard 🧔🏻 trims as they look awesome and are very reasonable priced! 🤗

Best barber I’ve been to and worth the wait! First proper skin fade I’ve had in ages and the beard trim has never been done as well. Criss is a homegrown local lad with a wealth of knowledge. If you value your beard then go nowhere else! My only regret is not going sooner!!!

I've been meaning to write a review of this place since I first visited Lamberts. If you see a queue head in, well worth the wait, apart from the amazing barber inside there are great customers too, it's more of a private members club than a barbers. I myself have sat for a few hours to gain a great fade, it doesn't seem like hours. It's very welcoming the music is always on point and of course the banter and stories that unfold are almost outta a movie. Bring a coffee, book or just a good story to share with the group. Thumbs permanently up for Lamberts Barber Shop. Great products too, beard butter with many great flavours, own hair styling range which absolutely rocks and Monster Tees yearly. Get in and get trimmed. Remember he's "Old School but Never Old Fashioned"

A top quality Barber shop, Chris has nailed that local, familiar place to go vibe, with plenty of conversation going on and some banging classic rap tunes in background. Chris couldn't have been more helpful, when I went in for a new cut, very informative in what to use afterwards for best results. Just found my new barbers.

Maybe its the banter, maybe its the barber and his cuts or the chilled out atmosphere what ever it is this place isnt like any other barbers he does everything you ask and more! If i had to give this place a downside its be carefuk you will lose track of time just sitting back relaxing and having a laugh with other customers and the main poppa bear himself. If you are fed up of high street barber shop's where you feel like you are on a production line of customers, where they are trying to get you out of the chair as quick as possible just so they can get the next customer in it Then this is the barber shop for you, my goal at Lambert's barber shop isn't to cut your hair as quick as possible it is to cut your hair as best as possible regardless of how many customers are waiting. If you want a quick 10 minute hair cut then there is definatley no shortage of barber shop's in Newport that will accomodate you, but if you want a haircut that is focused you looking as best as possible regardless of how long that takes then come on down to Lambert's. I am also newports leading beard specialist, i never use the clippers on a beard only scissors because this is the only way to trim a beard so you can rest assured that if you come to me for a beard trim you will not get your face furniture hacked off with the clippers beacause its quicker to trim it that way, you will leave with your beard looking exactly as you want it to look, you dont have to take my word for it though you can see for your self on facebook at Lambert's barber shop or on Instagram @lambertsbarbershopnewport
