I have been coming to Lauren for almost 7 years now and cannot recommend her highly enough. First class, professional service and a good friend for life. She has helped me through some difficult times with hair loss which we have had some excellent results. All of the team are lovely and welcoming. I can only assume the reason 1 star reviewer got in a strop was because she couldn't get what she wanted, there's always someone who feels entitled to be nasty and she must be one! There's certainly a pattern to the reviews she leaves businesses!

When I moved to the island 7 years ago from London I panicked about finding a new hairdresser who I trusted to look after my hair. A friend recommended me to Brett, the Manager of the Hair Lounge and I have been with him ever since. Hairdressers are good at following trends and the latest fashion however it is imperative that they style your hair to suit your face. This is what Brett does best, with kind consideration, he listens to the customers needs and of course in the processes incorporates his very own flair. My hair always looks great, I trust him implicitly and we have a laugh in the process. I cannot give the hair lounge any less than 5 stars!

What Can I say, an amazing salon from start to finish. The management, Paul and Brett can never do enough for you, from the warm welcome, the laughter and amazing standards they achieve. The salon is of boutique styling with a warm ambiance with professional and friendly staff. The Hair Lounge really is the whole package and I would recommend it to all my friends, I would of course also recommend to my family but their already fully fledged, from my 10 year old daughter up to my 73 year old mother. I really cannot rate the salon and staff highly enough and that most definitely includes the wonderful canine assets of George and Maddy.

I was on holiday on the island and in desperate need of a haircut for a special occasion. Rather nervous of trying new hairdressers I checked the reviews for several salons and chose The Hair Lounge. Very friendly and welcoming service. Jess chatted to me for a few minutes to discuss what I wanted (I also had a photograph with me) and then proceeded to give me my best haircut ever! I loved it. Shorter than I usually have it but so easy to manage and it looks great. I will certainly be visiting The Hair Lounge and Jess whenever I visit the Isle of Wight. Five star service and reasonably prices. (Date of visit 6 July 2017)

Have been having my hair done by Jess for about a year now. She is a great hairdresser and always listens to what I have to say. Recommends how to style my hair and also advises on shampoos etc. Her colleagues are also very friendly so it makes for a very pleasant experience.

Tried so many other hairdressers in Newport whilst waiting to get an appointment with Brett, as recommended by my neighbour. Well worth the wait, Brett is an amazing stylist, his attention to detail is paramount, I can understand why he sometimes has a waiting list. I would not go anywhere else now.

Brett has been my hairdresser for 7-8 years now so I have been a loyal client of the Hair Lounge since it was first opened by him and Paul. Simply put I just wouldn't go anywhere else and despite now living in Bournemouth it is a worthwhile trip back every 5-6 weeks for a colour and cut by a hairdresser I trust to ensure I always leave feeling a million dollars. The salon is professional, immaculate, welcoming and second to none and I never ever have any hesitation to recommending it to my friends and family on the Isle of Wight.

I have been living in and around London and Surrey since 2008 and after a series of unsuccessful haircuts and some extremely expensive ones (we're talking £150 - £200 for a full head of Highlights cut and blow dry on average) I thought I'd try the Hair Lounge on a visit to see my parents who live on the Island. That was two years ago now and I will never go anywhere different (unless they decide to turn their hand to something else or move to Outer Mongolia). The price for a full head of highlights with a cut and blow dry (at the moment) is £75 (you can't get anywhere near that price in London). One of the business owners deals with my wild Barnett and is the only person who understands my hair and is helping me achieve the look I want rather than just hacking my hair to pieces (which is what usually happens). I have very thick hair which I've been growing for 15 years and have had some dodgy triangular shaped layers put in over the years. I have also gone from having Black hair 2 years ago to being Blonde again, which has been a gradual process so as not to damage my hair too much. He understands that I want to look like a mermaid/ Rapunzel and is doing his best (bearing in mind he isn't a miracle worker) to allow me to achieve that look. He is also aware I am on a budget and will always help me save where I can. This is a family run business with a lovely ambiance, and has meant that my parents have got to see more of me over the last two years when I'm due for a haircut.

My husband and I have been regular customers at the hair lounge for 3 years and can't say enough how satisfied we are with value for money, customer service and the standard of the salon. Anthony see's Paul, who not only ALWAYS delivers fantastic styling and easy conversation to aid the whole experience, but the products used are wonderful quality. Paul can always adapt Ant's style to be current and unique every time. I see Brett, who single handed 'saved' my hair as I had completely over processed it. I walked in a brunette, dyed on bleached blond and at the end of my tether, and walked out, over a few appointments as advised by Brett to treat my hair in the correct and least damaging way, a blonde again, and have never looked back. We always have fun together working out where my hairstyles going next and always have a laugh which makes it a more 'family' feel rather than just another client. We both enjoy the whole Hair Lounge experience, from the welcoming front desk, the endless offers of refreshment, to the wonderful unique décor with quirky diamante skulls, adorable friendly dogs who may be in and just feel like they're your own, but most importantly the quality of service we receive from the guys and gals, without fail, every time. In short, why go anywhere else?! xxxx

I have brett do my hair but also seen good results from others. Wedding hair from Becky exceeds tony n guy. I have been using these hairdressers for 8 years and toni n guy before them and just as happy at half the price! Highly recommend
