I’ve never felt more welcomed into a salon before. I normally hate going to a hairdressers due to feeling uneasy and made to feel not welcomed but Everyone is so friendly and lovely, you can tell they’re like a close family. The service I got was more then 5*. Lukas did my hair which started out as a complete mess, damaged, uneven tones and I was worried I wouldn’t get the end result I wanted but Lukas knew exactly what I wanted and gave me exactly what I was after if not better! My hair has never felt and looked in such good condition. I’ve never felt so confident before and I’ve already had so many compliments on my hair. I’ll never go back now and I look forward to going into the salon again! if I could recommend anyone to go to a hairdresser this would be the only one I recommend! Absolutely loved it.

Lovely salon. I’ve had my hair cut a few times now, by Josh. He does exactly what I want and looked after me well. Nice environment. A very relaxed, a really pleasing experience. Since covid-19 I had been reluctant to visit but now I have to say it feels safer than a trip to the supermarket! Gowns and towels are disposable, there is sanitiser everywhere. You can keep your mask on for a cut, and the staff are well masked too. There are many other safety measures in place too.

Where to start?! I visited Seckingtons after a hair disaster from another salon, which left my hair patchy and two different colours. It looked horrendous (and this was after I had been back to get it corrected). When I first arrived for my consultation, I was immediately greeted by the receptionist (whose name I didn't take, but he was a young chap with a head set on) who was so friendly and welcoming. I was then taken upstairs by another young girl (who had a dark greyish bob) - she was lovely and completed my patch test for me. I was then handed over to Steve who put me at ease right away. He was very helpful and discussed what options we had with my hair. He also consulted his colleague at one point to ensure that the way he had suggested was the best way to fix my hair. We then went to reception where he booked me in for the Saturday coming up (bearing in mind it was such short notice - but I had a wedding on that day so was desperate). He managed to fit me in with two separate stylists for the colour and then a blow-dry (which I am very grateful for!) When I first arrived on the Saturday, I was immediately greeted by the friendly chap on reception again who, despite the time in the morning, was very warming and welcoming again. (If you don't already know, the salon is open at 8am on a Saturday!). I was seated and my drink order was taken (you had the option of beer, G&T, pimms and lemonade or a selection of hot drinks), as well as being offered toast or hot cross buns (Easter weekend). My hair was coloured by Natasha. What a lovely, sweet girl! She was so friendly and easy to talk to - she put me at ease right away. When we agreed on which colour would be suitable to fix my hair disaster, she then got the manager over to double check that the decision that was made was the right one. Whilst my colour was developing, I had a lovely hand massage from a young apprentice (whose name I didn't take again, but she had long, dark hair and we joked about how she sounds Canadian/American even though she isn't). She gave a lovely hand massage and was very professional considering it was her third week - an absolute natural). Throughout the time that my colour was developing, I was constantly checked on if I needed drink refills, magazines etc. Natasha also kept popping back to look at my colour. The dye was then washed off by a blonde girl (again, can't remember her name but she had two dutch braids and recently got engaged). She was lovely and very chatty. She also did a great job at washing my dye off (as too many times I have ended up with my entire face being washed as well.) Natasha also popped over at this point to check on my colour, as she knew I was nervous about the final result. She asked that the girl washing my hair put a nourishing conditioner through my hair as it had been through a lot (with the previous colour). Before my blow dry, I mentioned to the receptionist that I didn't have long enough on my parking - he offered to top it up for me which was very kind (and meant I didn't have to go out with soaking wet hair). I was then seen to by Hannah who did my blow dry. And OH MY did it look good. She kindly pinned my hair up for my to ensure I had big bouncy curls for the wedding I went to. She was also very friendly and very easy to talk to. The staff I encountered at Seckingtons have that "above and beyond" mentality. I was very well looked after, and despite the prices being slightly more than other salons, you definitely get what you pay for (trust me, I've been to a fair few in Northampton). So I will definitely be back to Seckingtons. Thank you all for the lovely hospitality (and for fixing my hair :))
