Had my hair cut by Ben just over a week ago. Never been to someone who caters to curlier hair and I'd 100% recommend it if you are thinking about it, Ben knew exactly what he was talking about, loads of info on what to/what not to use, cut it to help my hair look styled and aid the curls. Loved it and will definitely be going back to Ben in the future!

Curly hair- I saw Ben for a haircut on my mixed curly hair (3a, 3b, 3c) and I can safely say it was the best experience I've had in Nottingham. He listened and did what I had asked. He showed my different ways to style my hair at home and I am very happy with the result. I wod definitely recommend him for curly cuts.

I was looking for a salon that knows about the curly girl method as I was struggling with the process. I found about Aveda on reddit. It was a good experience, it was quite busy! I'm happy with the result and cut. Ben was friendly and knowledgeable; he gave me really good tips! Good products as well

Been coming here since salon opened, always great service and Nicole always does a great job with my hair, and Abbey does a great job with my mother's hair, all the staff make you feel welcome would definitely recommend this salon, they also sell a great choice of products for hair/skin and makeup which I use also.

I was given a very bad hair cut here. I booked specifically saying that I needed a stylist and not just a trimmer. My hair is not your typical, well-behaved, playing-along type, so I always go to people who are skilled and know that different hair types need different haircuts and care. I was promised a stylist, but ... the result was very disappointing. I mean, the pictures speak for themselves ... I asked for layers to add shape and volume to my hair. She's cut it in two layers that do not blend at all ... Naturally, when I left the place, she'd blow-dried my hair into shape so I couldn't tell straight away how bad it was. The three starts are for the receptionist who did her best to book me in again immediately, and even though it didn't work out, she was very helpful and I appreciate it. And one of the starts is for the fact that they use only cruelty-free and vegan products. I believe they can do better next time and I'm eager to update this review with more stars.

Great salon service. The head and shoulders massage and wash set me up perfectly; I had a cut and finish by Hayley. Expert cut for my hair - I came out happy, shiny and feeling good!

My hair is 3B/3C and all hair stylists can’t cut or style it unless they straighten it first. This wasn’t the case in aveda. I had my first proper curly cut & color with Ben and he totally transformed my hair! The service and staff are extremely friendly and lovely too! Although the salon was quite busy (for good reason). Would def come again. Also recommend for anyone who has curly hair.

Booked my Mrs in for her hair and colour for her Christmas gift and I and my partner (laura) are very happy with the result. Haley cut her hair and did an amazing job, I was slightly stressed when searching for somewhere I could book her in as I wanted everything to be perfect, and it was, the service, the cut and the price. She has found a new regular place to visit to sort her hair out from now on.

Hayley is an absolute Queen, matched a colour to my hair flawlessly and was hilarious to boot. The salon is chilled and all of the staff are so attentive, making sure everything was as good as it could be for me. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else and I'd recommend it to anyone! Not sure who or what the negative reviewers were dealing with but I cant say I've ever experienced any of the negativities they have claimed to have! The best salon for thick and wavy hair that's a nightmare to manage.

Friendly staff, they have a curly-haired specialist who gave my friend the best experience she's ever had! Free tea and coffee as well, for both me waiting and her having her hair done. Went back a few months later for mine and had a super friendly hairdresser along with a complimentary shoulder and head massage beforehand

I always look forward to my appointments at Urban Therapy. Everyone from the senior stylists to the juniors are really friendly. I always feel comfortable and at ease. I have been going to Laura for nearly 3 years and have nothing but praise for her. Her knowledge is exceptional and her talent too. For the service and the quality of the products used I think the salon is extremely reasonably priced. The massage you get before the treatment is lovely and something I always look forward too. Whether I am in for a quick blowdry or hours of colouring I am always treated with the upmost care and respect.

There's a good reason Ben has a reputation in Nottingham 😁 All curly girls and boys should definitely make a beeline here...Great cut which will last a good while and make my curls spring like no other cut ever!! Great for someone who hates the usual hairdresser's experience and it's Aveda so your hair doesn't just look good afterwards, it's smells divine! 🥰

I have been getting my hair cut by Ben for the past few years and I have never been disappointed, he is a curly hair guru and it is worth every penny. I do not allow anyone else to cut my hair as I've had so many experiences where hairdressers haven't been able to cut my curly hair.

Had the best haircut service i've ever had since move to the UK. The complimentary massage was an added bonus. They fix my broken, home dyed hair into something that i never thought can happen with my extremely dark hair without damaging it. I have moved to Nottingham only a couple of months ago and I was looking for an hairdresser. After reading some positive review here, I decide to have a go. I had in my mind to change the haircut drastically, from long hair to a bob haircut and I was not really sure if I could look good or not..so I made the appointment and I was booked with Nicole (stylist) she immediately understood what I was looking for and she made a fantastic job. I definitely recommend this hairdresser to anyone. Nicole is friendly, professional and she follow all the request that you have.. I have always been unhappy every time I have been to an hairdresser but this time I am really satisfied and happy because I have a very lovely haircut that completely suit me! Thanks Nicole!

I followed my hairdresser, Richie, to Aveda. Richie is a fabulous hairdresser and I feel totally relaxed with him cutting my hair because he knows exactly what he is doing and will ensure the cut is specifically modified to you and your hair type. If you want to change anything, you can always tell him and he is happy to make the adjustments. He took my hair from long to short and I've never looked back, so if you're looking for a new cut, make sure you book an appointment with him. As for the salon, Urban Therapy Aveda, the head message with a choice of oils is a lovely and unique touch which speaks to the quirky-cool of the salon. It's not too cool for school though as I always find the staff welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.

I was recommended Ritchie by my friend who has been having him for a few years and now i see why he's absolutely fab! My hair looks and feels great he always knows what to do and listens to what i want , i feel completely at ease and relaxed which might have something to do with the lovely head massage i always receive along with many drinks and being treated like royalty . I cant recommend Ritchie and Aveda highly enough I'm son glad ive found you !

I've been trying to get my hair blonde for almost a year and the first time I went to Avesta urban therapy I finally went blonde! Lovely and friendly staff, amazing products, and great results. Lizzie does both my cut and colour and really goes the extra mile to make sure you're more than happy !

excellent service in terms of procedure, customer well being (massage, tea and treatments) however half of the thickness in my hair is now missing which was the last thing I wanted.
