K. D..Hannah is not only an awesome barber but also just a really cool person, who's super easy to talk to and will make sure you feel comfortable from start to end. She always double checks exactly how you'd like your hair done and makes suggestions if you're not sure. The result is a great haircut for a really good price, I've never left here disappointed. The barbershop is clean, well maintained and the atmosphere is relaxed. I strongly recommend this place.

j. f.I've been going to see Nicolina for years, awesome hairdresser and a brilliant human being all round, she always has a smile and is great company. She has a total grasp hairdressing for 90s grunge, rock and punk kids that have all grown up and need to be smart, as well as anyone that wants a younger more 'out-there' style.
Great to see her in new surroundings. The place is smart, stylish and cosy, and just a short walk up Derby Road from town. Covid pre-cautions are taken seriously but aren't intimidating. Looking forward to more visits here!

J. M.Been coming to Deckchair for a number of years now (I travel from Alfreton into Nottingham specifically for them) and always find it a friendly and professional service. Was apprehensive given the current climate about safety but I needn't have had any worries. High level of precautions in place to make safety a priority. Track and Trace, masks/visors, cleaning after each client etc.
As for the cut, Hannah has been my regular barber and is amazing. Never had a bad cut, always great even after a number of different tricky restyles over time. Would highly recommend her for the cut and conversation (always a fun, relaxed experience) for your next trim!

I get my hair cut regularly by Dave who is an excellent barber with a lot of passion and experience. I'm always very pleased with how he cuts my hair and now I refuse to go to anyone else (unless he's away, then I'll go to someone else at Deckchair haha). He always takes on board what I'm going for and helps with ideas when I'm looking to try something different. Sometimes I'll get a neat shave as well as a cut and he always does those excellently as well.
Although I don't usually have my hair cut by any of the other staff at Deckchair, they are always very welcoming and great to chat to. You'll feel right at home.
n. b.I been to deckchair a few times to see Wayne. Must say he is one of the most friendliest people you could meet. I always go with a different style cut when I see him and he always does it to a high standard. would highly recommend him. He is also Knowledgeable about hair texture and because I gone to him a few times I ask about different style and he will let me know if my hair texture will take to it if not he recommends something that would work and as close to the style I had an interest in .

The new salon looks great and its central location makes it especially convenient if you live in the city centre or around the Lenton area. 100% would recommend - these guys will never give you a bad cut!

It's a nice shop and the staff were really helpful and I couldn't really explain what haircut I wanted. They gave suggestions on what could be done and I got a haircut I'm really happy with.
I would've gave them a 5 star but the only problem was the price which was pretty high at £13.50 for a Student Haircut.
But if you think the price is decent (I personally don't but that's because I don't have any experience with City haircut prices), then I'd recommend the shop.

S. C.Great hairdressers. Owned by a father and son, who are both really friendly and easy to talk to. Inside the shop has lots of nice touches that make it pleasant inside from a record player to beach side deckchairs. These touches plus the very good music contribute to a relaxed vibe.
As far as haircutting goes, this is the best barbers I have used in Nottingham in the 5 years I have lived here. Prices are also very reasonable, with a student discount.

F. E. f. t. D. G.Despite the name, you don't actually have to sit in a deckchair whilst having your haircut. This is probably a good idea due to the impractical height, slouched sitting position, and that all the hair would probably end up falling down the back and sticking to your bum. Definitely not what one would want from a barber-based experience.
Fortunately a normal hairdressers chair is used for haircutting. Combine this with the friendly staff, smart slightly retro decor and very reasonable prices, and I'd highly recommend it.
