Today I had a wonderful first time experience at this Salon. First of all ALL STAFF have amazing hair. I'm not joking. Very good signs. Extremely talented hair stylists. Especially Craig, he took care of my whole restyle and did an incredible job. Really looked after me, professional and very accommodating service. If you're looking to get your hair cut short short and a confidence boost from 4+ people, then definitely visit this Salon. 100% recommend! Thank you so much.

I recently moved to Nottingham and was looking for a new hairdresser, I’m very happy to have found Sutherland and Barnett after such a great first experience. Jack did an amazing job with my hair which is particularly difficult. He created exactly what I was imagining, was very professional and had great attention to detail with a lot of colour work to be done. Couldn’t be happier with the result. The salon has a lovely friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to my next visit.

I have been going to this salon for years and can't imagine going anywhere else. The salon itself is immaculate has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. From the minute you walk in the door you are made to feel very welcome by the friendly and attentive receptionist. I always leave the salon with a big smile on my face, and never have to rush home to wash and restyle my hair myself, as I had done so many times before when leaving different salons. They also have a great selection of hair products and I love the recycling initiative whereby you can take your empty shampoo bottle back for refilling. Andrew and Kate have created a great team and I can't recommend Sutherland & Barnett highly enough.

I have been going to this salon since it first opened & wouldn’t go anywhere else. Everybody is so friendly there, professional and go to great lengths to make you feel comfortable, special and relaxed. I am always happy with my hair and colour and have often had comments just after I’ve been by complete strangers asking where I get my hair done. I would very strongly recommend Sutherland & Barnett. My hairdresser is Kate, but I have also had Andrew and Hannah, all of whom are highly skilled & lovely.

It's not just the actual hairstyling services from a stylist with whom I feel a real rapport, which are invariably first class, but also the ambience of the whole salon & the friendliness, combined with the professionalism, of all the personnel. The minute I walk through the door I feel the welcome & warmth & I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the day when we can return! It's perhaps worth noting that I've always felt that the safety of the client has been a top priority during this stop-start difficult year. By the way, complimentary coffee's good too!

I would never go anywhere else - despite TWO lockdowns I’m being good and leaving my hair to do it’s thing until Kate can get back on it! The salon is professional & is always buzzing, the team are super friendly and there’s none of that ‘superior’ behaviour in this salon. There are a lot of long serving stylists which proves that the leadership team look after their staff - it’s a great. I recommend it to everyone who asks me.

Andrew has been cutting my hair for nearly 30 years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. When I have visited the salon during the pandemic I was very reassured about all the COVID secure protocols they had in place. I felt very safe and the salon was spotlessly clean. Great salon. Feel totally safe from the dreaded Covid. I travel a long way to have my hair coloured by Hannah or Kate. It is well worth the journey. They highlight my hair beautifully. I am so grateful to Jack who not only squeezed me in for a consultation when he was booked up but also did the most amazing colour correction after a disastrous balayage by a different hairdresser. Jack had a look at my hair carefully and told me what would be involved. I didn’t think it could be corrected because of how patchy/stripy my hair was, but I was so wrong and i left Sutherlandbarnett a very happy woman! I just couldn’t thank Jack enough. Sutherland and Barnett have transformed my hair! I go to university in Nottingham and in 2018 I had the most horrific hair experience at my home towns salon. I literally cried my eyes out so much and I tried to find somewhere to sort it out and booked in to Sutherland and Barnett to sort it out. I still remember coming in, sitting in the chair and just crying at what had happened to me with 3 hairdressers looking at the mess of my hair, comforting me and making me feel so welcome there. My hair has taken a while to get back to where it was due to the cut and dye being so bad from the other hairdressers, however Sutherland and Barnett have been there every step of my journey and supported me! I now get excited to go and get it cut and they have introduced me to all the products I now use to keep it healthy! I’m so grateful to this salon for actually listening and understanding my needs as a customer as there aren’t many salons who seem to do that anymore! So much love for you guys :)

For once, I'm completely satisfied with how my hair turned out. My stylist, Charlie, is absolutely amazing, very good at what she does, lovely and unlike a lot of stylists I've encountered, did not push for sales. I was wondering about colouring but because my hair is quite dry and damaged, she told me to wait a few months rather than jumping in straight away. The cut is absolutely great and the treatment magically transformed my super knotty hair into a silk shine. A fab fab place. Would highly recommend.

First time back at the salon since covid-19 and first time of going into Nottingham since it all so was a little apprehensive of what it was going to be like. But I was reassured straight away with a friendly welcome as always. They've thought alot about the set up and keeping customers and themselves safe. So there was no need for the worry. Sanitising, regular cleaning between customers, social distancing and wearing mask/visor I really felt ease and it was lovely to be there, see them and get my very rooty hair makeover. The stylists use good quality products to ensure that your hair leaves in its best condition and the stylists are of immensely high quality which mean your hair will feel great for weeks.
