Arena has such a warm, friendly atmosphere. I hadn't had my hair cut in two years and was feeling quite anxious but Jess was absolutely brilliant at making me feel at ease and making sure I got the best result. I love my new hairstyle and intend to return for a colour transformation with Jess, who I highly recommend!

My first visit to the salon. Right from the moment i booked i was confident id come away happy. Booking online was simple and easy. When i arrived at the salon i was greeted by a warm welcome. My son had to come along and they accommodated him with absolutely no issues. My stylist, Chelsea, discussed what i wanted to achieve, where i was with my journey, gave me advice and recommendations. She talked me through the treatment process and the results were beyond expectations. I was beyond happy with the outcome and don't see myself going anywhere else for my hair. Its amazing that you can go in feeling so deflated about yourself and come out feeling so confident, not just about my hair but confident i know how to maintain my hair. couldn't thank Chelsea enough. She is now stuck with me until retirement!!

I cannot praise this salon enough, they are by far the best! As soon as I went for a consultation I knew I wanted to get my hair done here. Lara and Lola done my hair and throughout the whole appointment I felt so at ease and welcome. They are so so talented and knowledgeable and you just know they’re going to do an amazing job! All the little things like making sure you don’t leave with hair dye all over your face, that they don’t miss any greys, that you’re warm enough… all these little things add up and make such a huge difference! I'm not a big talker and Anna (my staylist) didn't try and make me. It was brilliant, I just sat there in silence, genuinely loved it, only asking me the minimal amount. Customer service was great! I thought the consult would be 15-20 minutes but Lara spent much longer talking about my ideas and theme for my wedding which made me feel confident given wedding anxiety. She set up a group WhatsApp where all communication and pictures will be which was great! She was open and flexible with my trial date/details as well. I had the most amazing hair transformation, i had jess and she was just absolutely wonderful, very chatty and kind but after a few hours she could read the room and respect when i wanted a bit of quiet, which was also lovely. i came in with very damaged and just not nice hair which i was very embarrassing by and would hide it by buns and hair extensions. she persuaded me into a trim which i thought i really didn’t want but trusted her vision and i am just so so happy. i had a blonde balayage with money pieces and i am just so in love with my new hair! thank you jess and arena for employing this lovely lady!

Cannot reccomend Arena enough, this salon is exceptional. Very professional, excellent service and lovely accomodating staff. At my last appointment, I had to bring my daughter who has severe autism due to childcare falling through last minute and Abby could not have been more understanding, we were made to feel welcome and Abby even made sure we were sat in a particular area where my daughter could play quietly where she felt safe. Its lovely to find a salon so inclusive and understanding and I was so glad to have Abby do my hair as she was so kind not to mention my hair also looked fantastic! I have also seen Chelsea in the past who is brilliant as well and got me from box dye black to balyage brown in just 2 appointments including colouring my hair extensions which was quite complex. The stylists are really talented and friendly, the salon is always very clean and has a nice relaxed atmosphere. They also always offer you a drink and these little touches really make a difference. Arena is by far the best salon in Plymouth and I would not consider ever going anywhere else!

It’s an absolute delight to visit Arena Hair Creations for so many reasons which I will try to include. All the team are so welcoming, personal and attentive to your needs. Lara engages with her customers so you feel very valued. Kirsty is amazing - so much so both of my daughters travel down from the Southeast for appointments with her. I lived in London and the Home Counties for 40 years and have used lots of the well known high end salons. However Arena is the best salon I have ever used and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I really enjoy my salon experience at Arena. I have had the privilege of having my hair done (normally a half head of highlights and a cut) by one of their apprentices up to one of their senior stylists and always walk out of the salon feeling on top of the moon. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. I have never felt rushed and always have a thorough consultation on what I am after. I would say that Arena's prices are fair - after all some would pay £50 for a dress they only wear one or twice whilst your hair is on your head everyday.

Brilliant Haircut and Colour at Arena. My first haircut at Arena yesterday and I was thrilled with result. I had a consultation with Chelsea and colour test a few days before my appointment. I took in some pictures and discussed how I was hoping my hair would look now and in the future. Chelsea just really understood what it was I was after and cut and coloured my hair perfectly. Very pleasant atmosphere. I felt there was no pressure in having to cut my hair quickly and to move onto the next client. I recently moved to the area and was worried that I might not find a salon as good as the one I used to go to. I need not have worried though, as Arena has really lived up to its reputation. I had a cut and colour with Sophie at the China Fleet branch and left feeling like a million bucks. She broke down the price for me before she started (never in my life has a hairdresser offered to do that, it was so refreshing to know in advance rather than getting a massive surprise at the end) and she perfectly tailored the colour to my requirements and skin tone. I highly recommend her colouring service and super happy demeanour, and I can't wait to come back!

Six months ago I had my haircut but I was really upset with the outcome. My hair looked like a big chunk had been cut of it! This made me very nervous about going to another hairdresser. But with trepidation I searched online for hairdressers in Plymouth, I saw that Arena had loads of positive reviews. So I decided to book an appointment as my hair desperately needed cutting. I also wanted some highlights. I booked an appointment with Jo, who made me feel very comfortable the second I arrived in the salon. We talked through what sort of colour and style would be right for my hair. It was nice to have someone listen to what I wanted! I felt very relaxed the whole time I was in the salon. Jo also gave me loads of tips on how to style my hair. As my hair can be prone for frizz as it is curly. When my hair was finished I was so impressed, I have never seen it looking so good! I loved the golden tinges throughout my hair and the way my hair was so silky with beautiful loose curls throughout it. I walked out of the salon feeling amazing. After deciding to cut all my hair off and donate it to The Little Princess Trust, I googled hairdressers in Plymouth as I've not had my hair cut in the city before. Narrowing down different hairdressers from their google reviews, I had a browse of the websites of a few and Arena really stood out - from the design inside, to their range of hair treatments and the 20% offer for new clients. I also really liked the fact that all their hairdressers had their own individual style. Booking on the Friday for the Saturday meant I was luycky to get the only remaining slot and I arrived at 3.15pm ready for my consultation with Leigh Anne. She was fab - really excited at the prospect of a significant restyle and helpful in her suggestions for a flattering shape and practicalities (I need to be able to still put it up easily as I workout a lot). My wash was relaxing and enjoyable - with the addition of a funny moment catching one of the younger girls dancing as she took someones coat down the corridor and I opted for an extra conditioning treatment too. The head massage was definitely a bonus! Having 11 inches cut off my hair was nerve-racking but Leigh Anne bunched it and gave me the option to cut off the front sections myself which was so satisfying. She spent a really good amount of time shaping and blow drying - my entire haircut was nearly 2 hours long which was amazing value for money and it's the best cut I've had in a long time from a salon. All the staff were friendly, helpful and just the right level of chatty and it was the perfect afternoon pamper that I was looking for. An added bonus was that without realising they are currently raising money for The Little Princess Trust as well - so it was great to know that both my tip and the lengths of physical hair that I've sent off will be put to a fantastic cause making wigs for children with cancer or alopecia.
