Every haircut I've had here looks decent. Without fail, my hair always looks professional when I leave. The staff are also sound, they're always friendly from the second you walk in the door. I would highly recommend using this place, it's definitely one of the best barbers in Plymouth.

My husband regularly gets his hair cut here and since the owner has returned and is working on site the level of professionalism and quality of haircut is a different level. Really pleased with the service recieved and he wouldn't hesitate to return after this experience.

Best barbers in Plymouth. Always friendly and cheerful and Carl always does a great cut on my aging head. I noticed a previous review complaining about waiting, really…….. this is a walk in and wait service (just like any other barber shop) not appointment based. I too sometimes have to wait depending on what time I go, but I have a choice, I go somewhere else or wait knowing that I will get a nice cut and have a good laugh whilst doing so. 😊

Niki did a fantastic job of my little boys hair. He is very young and very nervous of having his haircut but Niki was patient and professional from start to finish. Genuine friendly service and great quality barbers. Would absolutely recommend.

Absolute fantastic barbers! So many times I've asked if a barber shop can accommodate Asian hair as it can be difficult to do. Luckily this place was straight and honest and Karl did an absolutely fantastic job! Really friendly staff, good prices and honest genuine barbers! So glad I I found it. My first visit today. The barber was brilliant. I still cant believe that he was able to trim down my overgrown bushy beard and sort out my lockdown long hair. I thought that he did an excellent job and was definitely worth what I paid. I am a vulnerable person so was really scared about going to a barber. They have really good procedures in place and made me feel safe. I can't recommend Southway Barber Shop enough.

Excellent barbers, Carl was great and sorted out my hair from a cut I had done which wasn't so great. Highly recommended, only thing I'd say is I'd prefer to book so I know I would definitely get my trim booked in but thats a personal preference. 100% recommend southway barbershop 🙂

If you want top quality, I would recommended seeing Carl, an absolute gent of a barber and quality at his profession! Fab place, been using Carl here to cut my lil boys hair for last couple years, Carl always knows what to do with lil boys hair as my first boy not got a clue :) top bloke and the ladies are lovely, also all friendly, clean, polite and professional wouldn't go to anyone else :)

Been a big fan since discovering them shortly after their opening. Affordable, high-quality, beaut interior and a friendly atmosphere inside created by the barbers. This review follows the first day of opening after lockdown. I may have been queuing for 3.5 hours along with many others but no fault of the shop’s organisation. I think the fact that people are willing to wait in the queue is a testament to the high standards inside. Of course many shops are doing booking systems, but if they had also implemented that, I probably wouldn’t have got a cut for weeks. They structured their new system very well inside the shop with everyone inside playing their part. Even after queuing for that long, the barbers (and helping staff) still managed to keep spirits inside the shop high to maintain that sense of community inside. I have never had a bad experience here and will continue to use this shop. Thanks so much guys.
