I used to go to Cartmels between 2018-2020 when I lived in Preston. Honestly one of, if not the best barbers I’ve ever used. They’re completely professional and are happy to listen to the customers needs and wants. The staff within are absolutely brilliant & I used to feel so confident in getting a good haircut and receiving value for money. I never had any problems booking in and used various staff in there, all being absolutely brilliant. I don’t live in Preston anymore & I wish there was a Cartmels in the north east! Definitely recommend to anyone. I really miss it!

Being a barber myself and not being able to get my hair cut where I work due to being very busy lately. I thought I'd give Cartmels a go. I managed to get booked in with Jake who did a superb job considering he is perhaps the only other person to cut my hair in more than 2 decades. He took his time and paid attention to every detail. First off warning the haircuts are £16 so pricey! Also they mostly work off appointments so don't expect a walk in service (Although I did admittedly do a walk in). Still the hair cuts are top tier and the atmosphere was great!

I visited this place for the first time the other day... First impression was great as I was greeted by a really nice smiley girl who offered me a drink and introduced me to James... What can I say about James... Sound guy and awesome barber! First time I left a barbers happy in AGES! Deffo recommend it and I'll b coming back. 10/10 PS. Excellent online booking system

Amazing Barbers, Guys are really friendly and chatty, they actually take the time to make sure your hair looks good and will go back to part they don't consider perfect! Put it this way I use to travel alot, every time I came home I'd always get my hair cut here before I went away again! You will NOT be disappointed! In relation to the swearing..... yea this happens, however as soon as a child/mother/female comes in that instantly stops! The guy who did the bad review clearly needs to go somewhere else then if he gets offended by swearing, so you know...... never leave the house just incase as swearing happens everywhere!! But yea want banter when you have your hair cut to award standards. this is the place!!!!!

Award winning Barbers. Need I say anymore? I genuinely wouldn't go anywhere else and believe me I have tried a lot of places. If you're like me you go to the barbers to get the best cut possible with advice to keep you on trend with a little bit of humour and banter thrown in "atmosphere" if you like. Cartmel Barbers ticks all these boxes for me. The lads and ladies who cut there know their stuff and know how to execute award winning styles. I understand some people are offended by swearing but if this is the case then any barbers really isn't the place for you. Also places run behind from time to time, but wouldn't you rather wait the extra 15 minutes knowing that you get the best haircut and the person behind you has the same wait, I know I would.

Your boy went in with a delapidated, unkempt mess on the top of his head. He was desperate for a fresh trim. He pested at the door at half 4 on a glorious Monday evening. He had no right to do that, these boys wanted off, especially on an England game night! He was expecting to be knocked back by the fine establishment but was welcomed in by an unknown character chopping another legends hair. He said a lad might be free to cut his hair and along came Marvyn. A fine specimen. A gent. The hero of the hour. Marvyn looked outside, then at me, and welcomed me in and said he’d never let a brother down. The hair cut received was exquisite. Clean lines, crisp finish, and all with a smile and a swagger. This is the place to go in Preston. This is the place. Cartmel barbers.
