Popped in today, bit cheeky seeing if they had spare time to cut my hair. Got an appointment within an hour, the service, and hair cut was top class....really friendly staff, knowledgeable and courteous throughout. Will be going back.

Good environment. Friendly staff. He cut my hair as same as in the picture I show to him. Ignore the negative reviews. I got the best hair cut in my lifetime.

Very friendly staff, lovely conversation. A lady highlighted my hair, she was very attentive and took pride in her work. The problem came with the hair cut and styling. I asked for an inch taken off, I lost several inches and it was very choppy. The cut looked like I had done it myself during lockdown. Overall I like the hair, and the atmosphere was great. I corrected what I didn't like when I got home and it looks great.

Absoloutely amazing! I had ruined my hair with semi permenant pink over blue. Neil fixed it all while making sure my hair was well moisturised and healthy. He took me from awful pink to a little darker than my root colour.I have curly hair and was really nervous about going to a hair dresser (usually done by a family friend who is a hairdresser). I was able to book in the same week i messed it up and Neil walked me through every step of the process. He was funny to be adound and definitely has a sense of humour. He also styled and trimmed the ends of my hair. Dried with the diffuser and gave me tips on how to look after my hair and how to achieve frizz free curls. Answered any questions I had. Amazing place!!! Definitely reccomend!

Reto style decor, amazing staff who will offer refreshments and a smile to customers. Only a few steps away from the main town centre, this salon offers incredible service for very reasonable prices. I was surprised to see that they offered a student discount and also a blue light card discount for emergency services - this was a pleasant addition to my appointment. One half of the salon caters to men and the other to women and have both male and female stylists that are very knowledgable and offer advise as they go! I was lucky enough to have my hair wash and cut by an incredibly talented male stylist who managed to make me feel comfortable despite a few technical hitches with the water heating system. I was instantly offered a hair mask for my wait and intriguing conversation meant there was no awkward waiting times. Brilliant ambiance and lovely team :)

I went to House of Hair for the first time today after looking for a new hairdresser for a while. When I got the chance of an early post-lockdown appointment, I jumped at the chance. The salon is beautifully decorated, comfortable and very clean. Daniel (who is lovely) cut my hair and I couldn't be more pleased, he took such great care over my style. It's exactly what I wanted. I even made a follow up appointment on the way out and promised to leave a review.

Great salon, really friendly staff who are brilliant with my 6 year old daughter (I don't really need a hairdresser as my hair is leaving my head, slowly). Very reasonable pricing too, and they have a beard barber that I have used. And he did a great job. Highly recommend this place.

Went here on a whim because I desperately needed my hair doing, they fit me in on a Saturday afternoon I called on a Friday night and the service was sublime. Sylvia was friendly, knowledgeable and caring and gave me a gorgeous head of highlights and easily the best cut of my life. The whole gang are so friendly, welcoming and attentive. I live in Peterborough now (originally from and have family in Preston) but will definitely be making this my regular salon. Looking forward to going back! ♥️

I just popped in last minute to see if they could fit me in. To my Surprise they could and I was made to feel extremely welcome. A Lovely Stylist by the name of Korina Cut and styled my hair. She did an Awesome!!! Job and She was fantasticly friendly. I couldn't of been more happy with the whole experience . The whole crew where lovely. Definitely will be returning and recommend anyone wanting a lovely experience all round to pay these guys a visit

UPDATE ON THIS REVIEW: The manager, Neil, contacted me after I complained to them via Facebook messenger, and I was asked to come in. I came in and he looked at what had been done, and showed me how to style it into my hair - but admitted it wasn't like I asked for. For context, I had a shaved head around 1.5 yrs ago and I get verrry protective over my hair - if I ruin it, it's my fault, but things done by anyone else puts my back up. HOWEVER, when I came in, I was offered a drink and a seat, and Neil told me he'd be with me in 20 minutes. He looked at my hair and then tried to help me work out how to style it, and when it was deemed something I'd just have to live with/grow out, he told me to come in and get trims as it grew, gave me a FULL refund, and then gave me some complimentary hair products. Thank you so much, I really thought I was going to go unheard, but it goes to show that if you communicate then things do improve. I'm upping this from a 1 star to a 3 star because, while it shouldn't have happened in the first place, the customer service to correct the issue was excellent. I went in with a slightly longer version of my profile pic, with my fringe past my nose. I asked for a tidy-up and curtain fringe/"Bardot bangs" that are very popular, without taking much length off, and advised the young chap that I wore my hair quite messy, which is very on-trend and has been for the last 10ish yrs. He then cut my fringe above my eyebrows... and tried his best to style his error - however, my thick black hair will only stick forward if cut too short. After attempting to re-style it twice, and being told that I'd "get used to it being short", I ended up blow-drying it myself............ and yes, it still stuck outwards. He also decided to curl my hair in on itself, making me look like a mushroom...! Absolutely ridiculous. Didn't chat to me, didn't offer to take my coat, wasn't offered a drink, paid £37 to look like the mum from Friday Night Dinner -- went straight home and washed the mop I'd been given, to discover I looked like Monica when Pheobe cuts her hair. NEVER AGAIN. Beyond a joke.

I had a haircut here the other day, and the hairdresser remembered the details of the haircut she'd given me almost exactly a year ago. The staff are friendly and skilled, and the drinks are free. It costs a little more than I'm used to paying, but it's worth it not to have to dread how the haircut will turn out. I don't go anywhere else.

First time going there since at uni got eyebrows waxed there was scared at first cause I've never done anything like this before. However the staff took a look and knew what to do straight away, plus they all acted in a very friendly and polite manor and offered a drink lads I recommend this if you want to do anything to eyebrows.
