this place is great. I came in earlier today because my previous barber messed up my hair badly. The people at above barbers were so friendly, offered an amazing service and even fixed my hair. Would 100% recommend

New name same great service! Warning: don’t trust the negative (1 review) posts here! See more… I have visited many times and can honestly see no reason for bad reviews who, frankly have probably never been here. (Please see my reviews, over 100, and posts about the city) who do you believe? Located in a prime position in the city this is a great place. Part of a reputable company that offers high quality service and value for money. Usually a booking is recommended but walk-ins are possible. There are (too) many hair salons and barbers in town but this is my choice for the best customer satisfaction.

Short story - awesome place and quality service, Ermand is a legend of a barber! Slightly longer story. I had my dreadlocks cut off roughly half a year ago. What was left on my head I was not happy with in the slightest. I stumbled upon Jacks of London randomly and decided to give them a try. After a quick chat with Ermand he gave me an amazing trim, had a good chat and a laugh. Feels like visiting an old friend who does a fkin amazing job every time. Been coming back ever since, always quality service !

I don't have much hair left 😞 but Ash still takes his time, has an eye for detail and genuinely cares about getting it right, he's personable, patient and makes you feel valued as a customer, thanks Ash... All the team there deserve a mention for their customer service, not forgetting Sarah who did such a great job on my first visit and made me return now not going anywhere else! ☺ It would be beneficial if you also offered nose and ear waxing so that we didn't have to visit seperate places for those services too... All in all well worth a visit folks, they even have a free drinks service!

So a friend and I went today here for the Deluxe Groom the Groom package for a treat before his wedding tomorrow, the experience was fantastic. Booked an appointment so we had Ash our Dedicated Stylist this man is a master of his trade made us feel welcome and the works were done from hair, Beard and cut throat razor and full Face massage would highly recommend them and the free goodies at the end of the day were great cheers Ash for an amazing experience

The first visit was very good. On the second visit, I had a different hairdresser who seemed rushed and the afterwards quality was ‘okay’. But on the third visit, I had another hairdresser who gave me a very poor quality haircut. I went away thinking that it’s not worth the money; the quality I received would almost be that I’d expect straight out of college. Also, I’ve never been offered a drink or a coffee etc, which seems basic hospitality.

Favourite place to go for a trim now. Very affordable for the quality received, free beer, live sports coverage and a PS4 while you wait. Only negative experience I’ve had was returning a couple days after a cut as I realised I would have wanted at least an inch more off the top. Asked over the phone and was told it was fine/there wouldn’t be a charge. However, when I turned up the new bloke who gave it a touch-up didn’t seem happy in the slightest, was very rough and careless with the comb... he was far from welcoming and the only thing he said was ‘what’s wrong with it then’. Which not only seems aggressive/defensive, but discourages customers and the ones around you, not to mention the (fantastic) barber that had already done my hair. I had to express it was more my fault than his as I should have asked for a bit more length off the top. There has also been another occasion where a girl was talking mostly to the barber next to her and the client. Spent more time looking left than at the hair she was cutting! Still did a great job though. If it wasn’t for that one-off experience I would have given 5 stars.

Been coming here for a over a year now. Best barbers I've been to in Southampton by some way. Antonis has been cutting my hair for months now and and the guy is a wizard. Had my sister's wedding recently and he did both mine and my cousins hair and we got compliments all weekend. He then went out of his way to do a beard trim for my brother in law which was not in the barbers but he arrived on time and did bits. Sound atmosphere in the barbers, all the staff are friendly, and you get a free drink. Antonis will be my barber for a long time and I will continue to come here!

I went there on my Birthday, for the cutthroat shave experience. I wasn't disappointed. Although it was a fairly quiet Sunday morning, My Barber was Mehmet. Very pleasant and professional approach. My face was pampered! I was also served with a nice Coffee. Spot on.

Great barbers popped in here for a beard trim and shape up it costs more than pretty much most places in Southampton but it's the best beard trim I've ever had. So it's worth it - you get what you pay for.

A good service. £12 for a beard trim I find that in the high side. But the barber did an adequate job would have hoped for a better trim for that price. Hopefully next time I will be better.

I came here for the first time a couple of months ago and got a great cut from the young lady there but unfortunately I returned a few days ago and got a cut from one of the guys there and although it seemed ok when he showed me at the end but when I then went to style it etc everything was out of place and bits had been missed. I received some quite poor comments on my hair as it was a very unprofessional hair cut, especially for the amount if cost.

Ventured into Jacks and met Sam, a decent guy who is more than decent at giving you a trim. Went from a wild fro to short back and sides. Haircuts are professionally done and you can play on the PS4, have a checkers game & a drink while you wait. Left looking much sleeker than before and haven't stopped going since.
