J. J.Great little place I found just by chance. Long story short is.. I had just finished work @5:30 and I was struggling to find a barbers that was open and relatively close. Google came to the rescue and recommended me this place. Now.. The place is quite neat. Professionally operated. Staff are friendly and give exactly what you ask for. Prices are reasonable... For York atleast. And besides the hair lying around after the previous customer.. The place is pretty clean. All in all I was happy with my visit and do plan on going again.

J. G.First of all i would like to state i am no trim connoisseur but what i received was above what i would call fresh and bordering godly. Right from the start i noticed as soon as i walked in everything was clean, tidy and yet very perfect and positioned from the stacks of hair gel to all the equipment. all the barbers were extremely nice, polite and could even maintain a chat whilst working which is nice. i cannot say one bad thing about this barbers and would highly recommend above anywhere else in York. superb!

D. B.The only barbers I know that are open on a Sunday. And they provide decent haircuts for a decent price. I rarely have anything special done with my hair, so don't quite understand why other places in York charge double for the same cut I pay at G's. The guys are nice and I can always count on them.

In between, I sat for two minutes with a hot, steaming towel wrapped around my head.
So if you're looking for a tactile experience, just get your beard shaved here for £14...

Ich hatte eine Bartrasur bei Avan, ein sehr angenehmer, herzlicher Friseur, der gefühlt ein halbstündiges Rasur-Ritual vollzog. Er erriet meinen Beruf und mein Alter aus dem Nichts, und meinte, er würde mit Magie arbeiten.
Zwischendurch saß ich zwei Minuten lang da, mit einem heiß dampfenden Tuch um den ganzen Kopf gewickelt.
Wer also auf ein haptisches Erlebnis aus ist, lasse sich hier für14 £ einfach den Bart rasieren…
