The team here were very professional, caring, non-judgmental. As a trans woman that hasn't always been the case in a healthcare setting, but I never felt anything other than supported and included. It's still very early to judge the effects of my treatment, but the procedure itself was as comfortable as I think it was possible to make it, even sitting over two days, and they're very solicitous about aftercare.

I had an FUE procedure over two days at The Glasgow Clinic on 21/22 December 2021. The following review is therefore on the procedure only - too early for results! The initial conversations with Philip were followed up by a video consultation with Dr McCluskey. These were knowledgeable and honest and set my mind at ease to book the surgery. I had excellent communication with Dr McCluskey the week before my surgery - all my ongoing questions were answered. The team at the clinic over the two days were simply superb. They were extremely professional, matched with a great sense of humour, and repeatedly went our of their way to ensure I was comfortable throughout. They were also keen to take the time to show and explain parts of their work as the two days went by. I was amazed how little discomfort I experienced after each day. I am now 11 days post-surgery and my whole recovery has been way easier than I expected. I'm sure most of this is down to the high standards and skill level of the Glasgow Clinic Team, as well as the great aftercare advice I received. This was always to be the first of two procedures for me and, after my initial experience, I would intend to return to The Glasgow Clinic for the second.

I got my FUE transplant procedure at the clinic last week, so early on in the recovery stage. Everyone I’ve dealt with since my initial contact has been amazing. Dr McClusky and her team were helpful in calming any nerves I had going in and generally surprised how painless everything was. I even fell asleep during the procedure on my second day. Very lovely team, enjoyed the conversations while getting the transplant. Being able to listen to Spotify or throw on Netflix to pass the time was a bonus. Very good contact post op from Philip answering any questions I have had about the recovery process and would highly recommend for anyone who may be nervous or curious about getting the procedure. The clinic offers to book accommodation during your visit and it’s such a handy thing if you don’t know the city. Very happy with my decision to go to the Glasgow Clinic and will be back in a few months for a review session. Looking forward to the results!

I recently got FUE to hide my scar. From the moment I first met Dr McCluskey she was incredibly informative and professional. On the day, the staff were absolutely amazing and made the whole experience so easy. All of the staff made me feel at ease. I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience with The Glasgow Clinic. My head was a balding shambles. My self confidence was plummeting. So it wasn't until my partner suggested looking for a surgical solution did i start contemplating a hair procedure. What was clear after some research were the positive results on offer from The Glasgow Clinic. From the very first email exchanges, through the remote and in-person consultations, to the final result, it has been a wonderfully positive experience. My procedure was over the course of 2 days and I was dealt with in an extremely professional manner. Everyone on staff were thoughtful, attentive, and made me feel completely at ease. So, if you are nervous about taking the first step, don't be. My middle name is 'nerves' but both Philip (my first point of contact) and Dr McCluskey were super easy to talk to and offered thorough, impartial advice at every stage. I underwent a poor-quality hair transplant in Turkey approximately 5 years ago. This was a nightmarish experience, which not only provided incredibly disappointing results but made me incredibly hesitant to ever have such a procedure performed again. Once the patchy and unattractive hair style I’d been given by the Turkish clinic had sufficiently decimated my confidence, I spent some time reaching out to various clinics across Europe (I live in Netherlands). However, with each exchange at these clinics in Belgium, Netherlands, England and Scotland (done remotely due to Covid) I felt the same disconcerting eagerness and ‘70s car salesman’ vibes. Clinics whom I informed about my circumstances simply responded with unabridged positivity about their capabilities to make all my wishes come true, regardless of how limited the information I’d provided them -to that point- was. This disconcerted me a lot, as I felt I couldn’t trust the assessments I was being given and that potentially it would come down to luck which clinic I chose. These concerns were suitably arrested after I contacted The Glasgow Clinic. Specifically, I communicated with Philip, who spoke candidly, honestly and with great insight on the topic of hair transplants and what the impact of having had a previously (botched) surgery would be on any potential results going forward. I was then introduced (via video call) to surgeon (Dr Pauline McClusky), who performed a visual assessment and discussed my case. This interaction led to an in-person assessment, where Dr McClusky raised concerns over my scalp health and recommended an assessment by a dermatologist before agreeing to perform any work on my hair. This again exemplified the Glasgow Clinics desire to perform top-class work, but only if it’s right for the patient. My experience of the actual transplant could not have been more different to what I experienced in Turkey. At every stage I was treated with professionalism and kindness. The team (Erin, Caroline, Leigh and Kerry) supported Dr McClusky in the procedure with utmost skill and competence. My procedure lasted two days and at no point during those days did I feel anything other than ‘at ease’ in my surroundings. To sum up, If you are unsure what clinic to proceed with, have doubts about what can be achieved, or simply want honesty, integrity and empathy when making such a big decision, I absolutely recommend The Glasgow Clinic and their wonderful staff.

I cannot recommend The Glasgow Clinic highly enough. I originally went to see them a few years ago and we discussed what needed done. When i arrived on the day i was fairly nervous, but David calmed me down and saw me into the waiting room where I met Pauline who performed the transplant procedure. The procedure itself was absolutely fine and nothing like what i was worried about (I’ve had worse dental procedures!). The choice of films to watch whilst having the procedure was great (although maybe not everyone’s cup of tea), but it certainly was good enough to take my mind off of what was going on. After the procedure the care was just as good, with clear instructions given on how to care for your head and scalp. Pauline is also incredibly responsive if you have any follow up questions or concerns. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending The Glasgow Clinic to anyone considering a hair transplant.

Hi just a short message about my own experience using the Glasgow Clinic for my FUE treatment. Overall it is a hard decision to make in choosing which clinic to go with, even when you finally decide to take the plunge. I chose TGC because of the independent reviews it has confirming the quality of the service and also the experience of the staff and especially the surgeon. It is very important to do this research. Once i made contact with the Clinic they were very good in guiding me through the process inviting me to ask as many questions as I wanted . I always received a prompt answer. Again it is important to ask as many questions as possible to ensure a compete understanding of the FUE procedure. At a later stage there was a conference call with the surgeon who needed to ensure I met the right criteria for the treatment. once the surgeon is satisfied it was just a matter of agreeing a date for it to be done. The big day came and everything went very smoothly from the booking of the hotel (I stayed 3 nights) to the actual treatment which I have to say was carried out very professionaly. The team were great really put me at ease and my surgeon was fantastic she ensured I was kept fully informed at every stage of the FUE procedure. The after care has been very good with regular contact to ensure I am ok. Overall it was a good experience, and I am very happy with the result although still early I don't envisage any problems. I have no problem at all in recommending the Glasgow Clinic to anyone who is considering this procedure you will be in good hands.

Had a small (1000 follicles) FUE procedure. Very professional process and staff. Extensive consultations video call and face to face beforehand where you can ask as many questions as you want. Procedure was significantly more expensive than other clinics in Birmingham/London quoted but still decided to go with Glasgow Clinic due to the level of expertise demonstrated and opportunity to meet face to face with the surgeon easily. Accommodation also provided in cost.

I had slow and progressive hair loss throughout my adult life and finally in early 30's decided to do something about it. From start to finish I felt cared for by the Glasgow clinic, it was a non sales approach from them, like going for a haircut it was simple and non pressured. You talk about what you want from the surgery and they were honest about what I could realistically expect. After analysing my hair via optical zoom they spoke of my hair quality from potential transplant area and then onto how many grafts I would need and in what areas I would like it placed. I decided to go ahead with it and was given a quote on number of grafts (later not all of these were needed and I was actually reimbursed per graft not taken which was an additional classy touch) Arriving on surgery day I felt so welcome, got dressed, hair shaved off and was told of what to expect and time scales for everything in-between. Everything was clean, organised, the staff were real people not afraid to work and talk at the same time this put my mind at ease. Any questions I had I was given clear answers from a clearly very well experienced and educated team, they love their job and it made me feel extremely happy that I had went with a Glasgow based group. I'm 3 months post surgery, my hair has progressed as expected & I'm looking forward to seeing it grow even more. Leaving a positive review was the least I could do for this great clinic.

I recently underwent a FUE hair transplant at another surgery in London and have become really anxious over the results and overall health of my hair. In an act of desperation, I contacted the Glasgow Hair Clinic seeking a second opinion on my situation and was blown away by the professionalism and kindness shown by Dr Pauline McCluskey. We exchanged several, lengthy messages over the space of 24 hours and despite not being a patient at the clinic, she took a great interest in my situation. Dr McCluskey took time to assess the information I had provided as well examining my pre and post op pictures. She offered some sound advice in terms of speaking to my GP and arranging an appointment to see another hair specialist. Dr McCluskey also suggested some non-surgical treatment for me to try as I try to reduce my hair loss. I couldn't speak more highly of her and without doubt would recommend visiting this clinic for a consultation, like I only wish I had done.

After thoroughly researching available options for a hair transplant it was clear that the Glasgow Clinic stood out, very positive reviews and the highest levels of medical expertise. After meeting Dr McCluskey I required no further research or confirmation of her credentials. She and her team are experts, suitably qualified and most of all no hard sell, in fact I had to follow up my interest as I was given plenty of time and space to think things over. My transplant was done over 2 days, its very intense and to be honest very uncomfortable and not without pain when anasthetic is being administered to your head! That said, the team were brilliant, they help you relax and make you as comfortable as possible, the room is equipped with a TV and you can listen to music or watch Netflix when your not face down! I'm very happy with the initial results and I have a clear expectation of what will happen next, I will update this review in 6 months when hopefully the end result will come to fruition. Great clinic, great people who are experts in their field, cant reccomend highly enough.

I have just completed surgery at The Glasgow Clinic where i received about 2000 grafts to strengthen my hairline at the front and fill out areas further back. I had been considering doing this for some time and after having consultations with a number of clinics and doing extensive research into the results achieved, I opted to go with The Glasgow Clinic. I can honestly say that Dr Pauline McCluskey was fantastic from the initial consultation right through to the procedure itself. It is a big decision to go ahead with something like this and I felt the advice I received at the initial consultation ( and subsequent email and telephone discussions) helped me make the right decision. The procedure itself was carried out over 2 consecutive days and Dr McCluskey and her brilliant team were so professional and nice at all times. The way they worked was so impressive. The procedure itself was totally pain free ( only very slight discomfort when administering local anaesthetic) and you are able to listen to Spotify playlists and watch Netflix throughout the day - which helped the days fly by. I am now recovering at home and I have not experienced any pain. My friends are already impressed with the hairline that has been created - and I am looking forward to seeing the final results when full growth is achieved. I would recommend The Glasgow Clinic to anyone thinking about having this procedure carried out, and I would like to thank Pauline and her team for making the experience such a positive one.

I genuinely can’t speak highly enough of Dr Pauline McCluskey and her team at The Glasgow Clinic. I recently underwent a transplant over the course of two consecutive days and while I understand it will take several months to achieve the full results, I am so pleased with how it is looking already. I began to lose my hair about 5 years ago, however it was gradual and I was very much 50/50 on whether to go through a transplant because I thought it was quite a big step to take. However, from my first contact with The Glasgow Clinic I felt reassured that the procedure would not be anything like as invasive as what I thought. Dr McCluskey and her team are incredibly professional and so down to earth, they really do put you at ease. Their level of teamwork is exceptional and you will be as distracted by that and how impressive the whole process is, just as much as you will be by Spotify and Netflix, which all in, makes even a full day fly-by. The whole procedure was remarkably pain free. The only time you feel any discomfort is the needle for the local anaesthetic. After the procedure I was so surprised at how, with just a little bit of care and attention, I could go about things as normal and it looked far more natural than I expected. I would recommend The Glasgow Clinic to anyone, especially those who are 50/50 on whether to go ahead with the procedure like I was. You won’t regret it. I can’t thank Dr McCluskey and her brilliant team enough.

I had a very good experience at The Glasgow Clinic during my consultation. Dr. McCluskey provided me with a thorough explanation of my male pattern hair loss and explained the treatment options available to me to slow and possibly reverse the hair loss. I have taken on the feedback and I'm currently undergoing one of the treatments recommended. If my hair loss continues to progress to the point where a hair transplant would be a viable option, I would definitely return to The Glasgow Clinic for this procedure.

I had a great experience recently got hair done I didn’t felt any pain at all and the main thing is at Glasgow clinic they don’t give you sales pitch First time I rang Glasgow clinic spoke to David top guy very welcoming and he will guide you exact things and he wouldn’t give you pushy sales pitch or pitch you to get done only from here . On the day of procedure Doctor and her colleagues were very welcoming I didn’t felt pain at all and it’s been 19 days now since I had hair transplant done I can already see my hair growing I would highly recommend the Glasgow clinic as they are the best and will give you perfect results. For a number of years the hair at the front of my head had been thinning badly until I was left a small patch of hair. It was really beginning to upset me and affect my confidence so I decided to do something about it which lead me to visiting a number of the hair transplant clinics in Glasgow. The staff at The Glasgow Clinic are nothing but 1st class!! From the moment I sent an email asking for advice, meeting Fraser for my initial consultation to the actual procedure, the staff are always available to talk to if you have any questions/queries and are there to walk you through everything step by step. The procedure itself was amazing and although I was nervous at first, it was actually pretty painless and kinda relaxing (especially being able to play music and watch films is a good thing to distract you from the goings on) Overall, I can't thank the staff at The Glasgow Clinic enough, 1 year on I have a head full of hair again and I am over the moon with the results. Just had 3000 grafts implanted last week over two days by The Glasgow Clinic. It is something I had considered for a few years but decided to take the plunge this year. Although getting the local injections wasn't a lot of fun, other than that, I really felt nothing during the whole process. Actually fell asleep several times over the course of the two days. The Glasgow Clinic were brilliant throughout; 7/8 staff working very hard at all times - they couldn't have been nicer or more considerate - everyone of them. Now in day 4/5 post op and absolutely no pain at all from the process. I had expected some discomfort but back to work today as usual and other than looking in the mirror, forget that I have had it done :) Wish that I had done it years ago and would highly recommend The Glasgow Clinic to anyone.

I was delighted with every aspect of my interaction with The Glasgow Hair Clinic. I originally made enquiries by telephone and e-mail, and there were quite a few of these. I was enquiring on behalf of my 21 year old son who had been experiencing hair loss since the age of 17. Both myself and my son corresponded with Dr McCluskey and Brian, the purpose of which was to arrange a hair transplant for my son. The advice we were given was impartial and extensive - no charges were applied and I was very impressed initially. I felt I would like to have a consultation including my son so as to ask questions regarding medication and treatment, gain insight into timelines and have him assessed by Dr McCluskey. The consultation was excellent - and also free of charge! It was clear from the outset that the clinic is professional and in no way trying to profit from encouraging unnecessary procedures. The medication and any possible side effects were candidly discussed, we were shown footage of the procedures and every question we asked was answered clearly - Dr McCluskey and Brian could not have been any more helpful. The consultation lasted for more than an hour. My eldest son - who is 30 and also having problems with hair loss - came along with us. Now both of my sons have decided to go ahead with the treatment, knowing that they can speak to the clinic at any time about concerns or general questions. It was an extremely positive experience - one for which we are all extremely thankful. Dr McCluskey invited us to come for another consultation if required. It was not. We were delighted with everything.

I had a great experience with the Glasgow Clinic. I wasnt, unfortunately, able to go ahead with treatment as I decided FUT was best for me and they dont offer this procedure, they did,however, recommend a clinic that did. While I was there I spoke with Dr McCluskey, who gave me a thorough examination to check that I was suitable. She answered all questions and left me feeling confident enough to take my next step on this journey. I only wish they offered the FUT treatment as I wouldnt hesitate to get this done at the Glasgiw Clinic.

I was really pleased with the professionalism and brilliant practice from this clinic. I got really helpful e mails and then went for a review. The doctor I saw Dr McCluskey did a thorough review and there was only good advice, no hard sell. I was mega impressed that she even advised me due to previous surgery I might be better and cheaper going for FUT rather than FUE. Bare in mind this clinic does not do FUT so this is really impressive. I hate many clinics as they hassle you and go for the hard sell but this clinic are honest even though it is a cost to them. Obviously I did not have a procedure but if they did do FUT I would not go anywhere else. I guess from this they are exceptional at what they do. Dr McCluskey restored my faith in hair clinics after many bad experiences.

I e mailed the clinic asking for advice on my hair condition. I received a reply very quickly. The advice given was very honest, stating that it would probably not be possible to give me the treatment I was hoping for. Although this was disappointing, I really appreciate the honest answer as it has saved me spending alot of money on a treatment that would probably not work. I visited with a view that I would proceed with a procedure. However, I was extremely impressed by the honestly and impartiality of my consultation. After a long, personal consultation, I was advised actually that trying certain medication was the best course of action given the density of roots was consistent with the sides and back, and the roots were not "dead" yet. They could have just went ahead (as mentioned above I was in the frame of mind to "go for it), but did not. Even after this (i.e. it was determined I would not go ahead), I was followed up by someone who had went through taking the medication and asked to follow up in six months with progress. For anyone who is considering (even if you are not sure), I personally advise you to have a consultation with these (clearly) very competent practitioners. If I ever need a procedure done, I would not hesitate to come back to these guys!
