Highly recommend Elena at Ellie’s studios, especially for anyone else who also has thick or curly hair. As a first time customer she really took the time to property understand what I wanted and give advice and I’ve now got a haircut that looked great leaving the salon but is also exactly what I want when washing it myself too. Will definitely be back!

I have been to many hairdressers in the local area (Hornsey, Crouch End and Muswell Hill) and this is the best one for quality, value, professionalism and honesty. They really take the time to explain things specifically related to your hair (everyone's is different) and what is best for you. I have never felt rushed or that I couldn't ask something. I made an appointment for a colour and they did a strand test to make sure my hair would actually hold the colour - it didn't and they were honest (my hair is too dry at the moment) so they didn't want me to feel like I wasted money once the colour faded. So thankful for that. They also will do a cut (no blowdry) for a cheaper price without questions in case you are on a budget or live close - that helps me so much. I cannot recommend them enough - so glad they are local!

Took myself and my two young boys in today for trims and tidy-ups. Ellie is just amazing with children and is always a genuine joy to speak to. And unlike some other hairdressers and barbers, she doesn't ask you the usual boring inane questions ("any plans to go on holiday this year?). I cannot rate her high enough. It was the first time I went to her and since I cut them quite a lot, she continually made sure that she was cutting the right way and not too much and she also showed me how they would look, before cutting. Era la prima volta che andavo da lei e siccome li ho tagliati un bel po’ lei si accertava continuamente che stesse tagliando il giusto e non troppo e mi ha anche fatto vedere come sarebbero venuti, prima di tagliare.
