I have been visiting Ria Beauty for threading and waxing for many years and they are fantastic. All the team are so welcoming and always look after you. Since lockdown the measures they have put in to place are great. Temp check when you arrive, hand sanitiser, screens in between each station. All staff are wearing face masks and visors. It made you feel so safe but you still received the great service they provide. Can’t recommend enough!

I’ve been coming to Ria Beauty for years as find they provide the best value for money at a great service. All the ladies are really friendly and I always get exactly what I want. It is a no frills service, so don’t expect ambience music, scented towels or to be offered tea, but the place is clean, service is quality for waxing, nails and threading (those are the only services I’ve tried there) and they offer a lot better value than most other beauticians in Hackney. I highly recommend.

The only salon I will ever go to!! They follow strict COVID guidelines and are always wearing correct PPE which makes me, as a customer, feel very safe in the salon. As well as this the quality of manicures is always the best of the best, all the staff are professional and attentive. Especially the girl who works at the front desk, she’s extremely organised! I love my experience everytime I go and I would recommend the salon to everyone.

I visited Ria today and had a quick pain free extended bikini wax. In addition to this, I noticed they are being very careful in impleting all the safety measures: face masks, deep cleaning and social distancing (you arrive to your appointment a few minutes earlier and wait outside to be received, no more gathering indoor.) I also want to add that this has been my favourite beauty salon in years, they are very professional and considerate, so don't hesitate to use Ria even in these exceptional circumstances we are going through.

It was a lovely experience although my tough and overgrown cuticles were a challenge for the beautician! My daughter also had her nails polished and the staff were very accommodating of her. I’ve been going to rhia beauty for over 7 years now. The service and quality is the best I’ve experienced. Even now that I have moved out of London I still arrange my wax appointments with them when I’m in the area visiting my parents because I have tried other places and find I am always disappointed that the standard doesn’t match up to the one that is provided at rhia beauty. The same applies to eyelash extensions; their lash technician is incredibly talented and the mink individual lashes that they use are so perfect! Other places always do my lashes too dramatic despite me requesting a more natural look, hence me continuing to return to rhia beauty time and time again for these too. I also use them for eyebrow threading, shellac manicures and for pedicures too and could not recommend them more! Everything You need in one shop, I could spend hours in here.

Amazing service and very efficient. The staff made sure that every work station had hand sanitiser and screens are in place to mantain social distancing. After every customer the staff also wipe down every station. Honestly they did not disappoint and I was over the moon with the service they provided.

I came for a full face lycon face wax costing me £30 and when I go home to see the waxing oil has dried out I find I still have facial hair left on my face which means it hasn’t been done properly which is a shame as I paid that much for it. Really disappointing, really not happy with the service, I feel as the lady had rushed as it was early hours of the day but that doesn’t excuse anything.

I am never disappointed when I go to Ria Beauty to have my eyebrows or nails done. The staff are friendly and flexible. I was there yesterday and had my nails done by Katie who was truly amazing. She did an excellent job. The only two things I have observed are the opening time of 10:00 am is rather late especially on a Saturday an earlier opening time of perhaps 09:30 would be more favourable. Secondly staff need to be mindful of speaking amongst each other in a different language. Most customers find that unnerving. Overall, I do like Ria Beauty and the next step will be trying their facials and massages.

I occasionally get a wax there and some are better than others in their technique but overall I am happy with the services they provide. They’ve recently had an increase in their prices but given the prices stayed the same for many years I don’t begrudge this. I would highly recommend.

This is a great local spot that I’ve been going to for many years now. The service for eye brow threading is walk in only which makes it very convenient to drop by when I need to, the wait is usually only a few minutes but never more than 10-15 minutes at busy times. It’s also excellent value at only £5 for eyebrows and the girls are great at threading. They also offer gel nails at a very reasonable price and the quality is always good. The service and staff are very friendly and they can usually accommodate walk in requests for treatments.

You won't find a better salon. And I've tried almost all of them in east London. Waxing- lycon. Clean and perfect service, no matter who you get. Eyebrows- quick and cheap. Be prepared to wait 10 mins on a busy day. Nails- again always perfectly shaped and I have shellac which stays on 4 weeks. The nicest thing however is that the staff here are happy. It makes a difference.

I have eczema on my hands and the gentleman kindly let me use their sink to wash my hands rather than anti bacterial wash which triggers my eczema. Also, with eyebrow threading, it’s hit or miss, even when you explicitly say tell them that you just want it shaped not made thinner, they don’t listen and after 2/3 visits your eye brows are thin. I called up to find out if they did nose piercings. The lady informed me that they do with both gun and needle. I was able to just roll up with no appointment which suited me fine. The registration for piercing was thorough. The guy who did piercing knew exactly what he was doing and it was over in minutes. Only downside to this place is they don't have a loo.

I have had to leave an “ok” review even though I was told before leaving to “please give a 5* review”. Actually came after reading all the positive reviews but now I realise these are mostly for eyebrow threading... Firstly I found that the treatment I received was over priced. I had a manicure, pedicure and skin brightening facial. I’ve been to other places and have had the same quality facial for £30 as opposed to £50 paid here and had better manicures and pedicures at the Chinese salons for £31 as opposed to £45. Not to mention when I asked for french tips I was told I’d have to pay an extra £8. As opposed to £2 I would have paid elsewhere. From this aspect it was expensive. However, the actual facial was very relaxing. Nice room, relaxing music and the therapist took care of me and advised me on skin care. I initially booked a manicure and pedicure online from treatwell. Then I called the salon directly to ask if I can have a facial as well. This was after reading their website which stated a special offer of “receive £17.50 worth of skin care products with facial”. The skin care products on offer were the same used in the facial so it would have been great to receive them also to continue the regime and see how much difference it made. Not to mention it attracted me to book the facial in the first place as I thought paying £50 would be balanced out with the “free gift”. Unfortunately, they dismissed that offer and instead made efforts to actually sell the products to me including the free one I should have received. I was bitterly disappointed as they attempted to do this during the treatment and then before I was leaving also. When I mentioned about the free gift they said it’s only for their customers and not treatwell customers. Even though I had booked the facial directly with them. Overall the manicure and pedicure was decent but could receive the exact same service in the Chinese shops for a lot less money. I found Ria beauty had friendly staff but they were expensive and misleading. I have been trying to find a decent salon that I can visit monthly for a facial, manicure and pedicure. So disappointed that I’ve had to cross Rias off my list.

Like so many other reviews that I've read here, I've been coming to Ria for what feels like a million years (back when there was still the mini brow bar on the Ridley Road Market exit!), and they're always brilliant, whether it's for waxing, threading, massages or nails. Would highly recommend — and they're always busy, so don't rely on showing up without an appointment unless it's an early weekday morning (that said they'll always do their utmost to accommodate you).

I have never had a better bikini wax! I had the hot extended bikini wax and I would 100% recommend this salon. It was super quick (took around 15 minutes for bum and inner bikini line) and even though I have a low pain threshold it truly wasn't that painful due to the beauticians quick way of working. They are really great at working with thick stubborn hair (which mine is) and ensuring that nothing is left. I would really recommend this salon, they are also very affordable and friendly!

I love this place, been coming here for around 4 years and can't recommend it enough. I come here for eyebrow threading, henna tattoos and massages - The ladies are wonderful, great value for money and the treatments are fantastic, particularly the Indian head massage, which is divine. I wasn't able to get an appointment here for the first few weeks after lockdown lifted as Ria Beauty was completely booked out, so I had to book another massage elsewhere - nothing to the quality and care I usually get here and on top of that, I was also charged a lot more. Not going to be going anywhere else if I can help it. These are a group of lovely people who really care about giving you a relaxing experience and lifting your day. Highly recommended and delighted to see them so busy, they deserve it.
