Sophie’s nail bar sounds kinda personal and intimate right? Wrong. Your typical rushed nail bar experience where hands are grabbed, staff are chatting to one another (not in English) and laughing as they do your nails. My nails are okay, just ok. I’m a regular at a nail bar in Leicester who provide a much better experience. Then you go to pay and it’s cash only. They tried to make me leave my phone when I went to get cash, offered to leave my other bank card and was a big debate about if I could. There Is a note on the desk where you go to pay saying cash only but as far as I can see there is nothing on the door and I certainly didn’t see anything on the website. Very unusual in this day and age for a place to only take cash. Curious as to why. Definitely wouldn’t go back

Cannot recommend enough! Very friendly and super talented staff. I’ve had manicures, pedicures and lashes here and brought friends with me. The service is always incredible and the nails I’ve got from here have never chipped, lifted or degraded despite me not being the most careful with time. As a student I’ve tried most places around Nottingham and Sophie’s is by far the best I’ve ever been to! Cannot recommend this place highly enough honestly :)

Visits Sophie's Nail Bar yesterday with my friend to get acrylics put on and asked for a rather complicated design with a different nail art design on each nail. Staff were so accommodating and spent time making sure each nail was perfect (even started over again if they didn't get it spot on the first time). Could not be more pleased with how they turned out! will definitely be back!

Couldn’t fault these guys, I didn’t have an appointment and they saw me. I did have to wait for 10 mins but they were very professional and efficient. I was there just under an hour and overall the service was great. Will definitely be retuning.

I honestly cannot fault Sophie’s nail bar. I have been here countless times in the past three years, theses are just a few of the nails I’ve had. If I show them a photo, they do exactly what the photo shows. The staff are so polite, yes they speak their own language but you can expect that from any nail salon. The prices I would say are very good, especially for the services you get. I love Sophie’s and will continue to come here❤️

I highly recommend this salon. They will do exactly what you ask for which can't be said for all nail places. The staff are so friendly. I never felt pressure to engage in small talk either which I really appreciate. The prices are very reasonable too, a full set of acrylics with gel polish is £32 (or even less for students). Great place all in all!

Would recommend Sophie’s nails to anyone! It was my first time going there today for infills and I am so impressed with how my nails look. Everyone was so friendly and it was such a relaxing and calm environment!! The lady who served me was so gentle and she took time to make sure every nail was perfect and the right shape / length. I would definitely recommend this place! My friend and I came to get our nails done- I got gel shellac and my friend got an acrylic set. The girl that did my nails was very sweet, and my nails came out really pretty! Of course they spoke their own language, but as long as you’re not rude to them and aren’t self conscious it won’t bother you at all. Will come back again 😊

Went in yesterday for a full acrylic set. The atmosphere wasn’t all that great and neither was the service. However, they did an AMAZING job on my nails (which is what you go for really) for a good price with student discount; £23 and £29 for the “nicer” longer lasting nail varnish. My only complaint would be that it didn’t seem all that clean. I’ve only been to a few nail salons, but here, their tools had been clearly used and not even cleaned and neither were their stations... if you’re looking for a cheap place to go for nice nails, I’d recommend, but purely out of their lack of hygiene, it’s probably safer to spend the extra money to go someplace else. Hope this helps!

Great atmosphere, I always love there music and I wouldn't go anywhere else. My best friend recommended me they no her well with her beautiful claws. Everytime I go I have had the owner do my nails, I watched him do my friends before hand and he is a perfectionist. I will wait weeks just to get my nails done by him. Even told me what he named the salon soohies 💓.
