Phoned early this morning and was seen and sorted with an hour. Puncture fixed, new brake cable and chain freshened up. Such a genuinely enjoyable experience, great advice on maintenance for a relative beginner, price and conversation! Needless to say I will a returning customer for the foreseeable future, appreciate it lads 👏

Austin had a cancellation and was able to replace my tube + carry out a brake and gear service same day! Bike felt like a different machine on the way home. Price was fair and reasonable too. Very fortunate to have these guys working locally. 👍

The definition of a perfect bike workshop. Angels work here. After being turned away from one bike shop because our bikes are ‘too old to deal with’ we came across the angels at Belfast Bicycle Workshop who were able to make time for us, embrace us, giving incredible customer service and help to fix exactly what we needed (3 new spokes and truing the wheel). The shop was meant to close at 2pm. We arrived at 1:30pm. They were up to their eyes in bikes and grease and still managed to make time for us and other customers who were turning up unannounced. Doubt they would have managed to close before 5pm. These guys aren’t here just to take your money, this is a passion and a vocation for them. Where other shops might just want you to buy a new bike and get rid of your old one, these guys are here to fix and help in an affordable way. Great ethos & admirable morals. If it’s broken fix it - don’t just chuck it out and get a new one. If only we could apply this to our relationships we’d be happier people all round.

Called in to get my bike pedal fixed as the old 1s threads had worn down. Micheal the guy who worked there was very accomodating and personable. We had a good chat about our love of hip hop while he worked on the bike. He fitted a new pedal for me and didnt charge me a thing! Very pleased and would def recommend

After trying three other shops, one stating the gears past fixing, one quote at least£100 and the third could not look at it for three weeks I found Belfast Bicycle. Perfect, the owner was under pressure working on other bike's but asked me to come back in an hour. He had the gears fixed and new cable fitted. Bike now as new and all for a few pounds. I will never use anyone else. Thank you Belfast

As I have a cheap bike from some other place, problem keep coming to me. First time been there and got the wheel trued, people are nice. When I got another problem (completely unrelated issue as first time, the wheel that was trued stay nice), I return without a doubt. Got everything fixed in one day, feeling better than riding on a new bike. I seldom write reviews and even I do I rarely have no negative thought, but this shop and its people simply amuse me. All in way a cheaper price than I expected as well. Recommend. 5 stars. What else can I say. -- Update: Got Some problem and wanna ask the mechanic, got helpful advice and bike riding smooth again

Small, lovely looking workshop, with friendly and helpful staff! Got my rear wheel axle fixed within the day within affordable price. Definitely would recommend others to come here to have their bike fixed. 😁 Update 2019: Sent my other bike for fixing of faulty rear brake calipers, but they also took the extra effort to polish up my front calipers as well, really appreciate their help! Always of wonderful service, just remember to check if you need to make appointment to send your bike in as they can be busy due to their popularity! Hope you guys will always be around, and again highly recommend to come here if you need bike repairs :)

I brought in my almost a decade old bike with a back cog ring with a couple of worn-down and broken off teeth. The mechanic had a quick look and diagnosed the problem, told me what needed to be done and gave me an estimate of how much it was going to cost, all in a very friendly and competent manner -- and the price was very reasonable too! He estimated he would have my bike fixed in two days time, but actually managed it in one. I am a very pleased customer and any time I need bike repairs this is where I will go in future.

I was at austin's workshop one week ago during my travels cause i had a broken bolt. It was done within about 1 hour i think. cause austin knew i am travelling, fixing my bike was priority, what i really appreciate. The price was fair as well. Great place! Austin and Michael are both 'all about bikes'. It's their absolute passion and comes across in everything they're doing - they've worked really hard to get the best result - performance, value ... for me on several occassions. A hidden gem! That's how I would best describe this bike repair oasis in Belfast. Tucked away at the top of Lawrence Street off Botanic Avenue you will find an old fashioned, no frills but honest to goodness bike repair shop where no job is too big or too small. Austin could not be more helpful. I recently turned up unannounced on a Saturday morning three hours before he opened with an urgent repair. Austin took it all in his stride and had me back on the road within 90 mins and all for a very reasonable price. I could not recommend Belfast bicycle workshop enough!

Handy for a quick chain maintenance, done within the hour via phoning an appointment the previous day. If your in a hurry for maintenance, this is the place to go.. Also sells good lube, stay away from Halfords for your lube needs.

I'd rate this as the best bike repair shop in Belfast and thats a decent compliment given there are some good shops on the Ormeau road (did I spell that right? I'm foreign). I got my bike back today, its in better condition now than its ever been. Austin the mechanic is a gent and seriously underprices his service. Best bike workshop in Belfast. Went there again recently to build a genesis croix de fer. Austin helped build my dream bike and ordered in high spec components like Hope headset, Hope RS4 hubs and wheelset, Sram Rival 22.. Travelled from Dublin to give him the frame as I wouldnt let any other mechanic do the work.

Well worth calling in to the Bicycle Workshop if you are looking for a particular part,steel road frames,mtb,or any thing obscure/difficult to find,as many other bike shops i've tried will not have these parts available in stock,ie cotter pins. There are some great finds to be had so keep your ear to the street as things can move quickly. I have often had my wheels trued without having to leave my bike overnight,but many other things have been fixed by Austin, also expert advise about build projects/customized builds. If a thing needs repaired or installed I'd say call into the bike workshops,additionally very friendly owner(Austin)who is a good laugh to call round to
