Paul has done an amazing job fixing my bike. He also gave me a clear breakdown of the cost and explained why the parts have to replaced plus gave me good tips on how to check my bike and keep it in good condition. Also first class customer service, all staff are friendly, customer focused and take time to answer the questions as well as make sure you'll get what you need. Highly recommended 👌

After I fitted new tyres and then two morning punctures, I stopped on a Sunday morning at BikeTown and left knowing where my bike will be serviced in the future. Steve and Andy's chat swung from music, bikes, coffee through to humour, oh and my puncture was fixed (nee rim tape, tube and metal spike removed). Professional, knowledge and 100% recommended. After going to a…. Let’s say, huge high st bike retailer I was told I would need both brakes bled discs and pads among other things and would have to wait 3weeks. A friend recommended biketown where I met Paul told him what I needed he quoted me half the price and I agreed to leave it with him for a week to have it done. He gave it a once over and asked if he could try something…. Stuck a set of pads on and brakes are good as new!! Done there and then for £30! As with cars it’s hard to find a bike mechanic that’s trustworthy and honest. Fantastic service, very accommodating, friendly and reasonably priced. I’ve definitely found my new bike guy!

Great team of people. My son was struggling with learning to cycle, took him here and his development after one half hour lesson was unbelievable. They've since done a service and a couple or repairs on his bike, mechanics are clearly very passionate and knowledgeable.

I only have amazing things to say about everyone at Camglen. Every time I've been in I've been welcomed and the people working always take care of you. I often book in to the fix your own bike sessions on a Saturday and have always walked away with a working bike and way more knowledged than I walked in with. If you're ever in the area and want a good laugh, or you need your bike fixed, I couldn't recommend a better place!

They will provide a top class service and they have loads of chat, while promoting such a good cause for the local community! Outstanding, I came.in after trying to remove the lock nut on a leftie fork, after rounding off the edges with the wrong tool I was then given enough tools to tear out the old lock nut, managed to do it with (fingers crossed) no visible damage to hub. Now ordered a replacement part. Andy was a great help and super friendly.

This is how the 2nd time using BikeTown. 1st was for my daughters adapted disability Trike and this time they have come to the rescue to repair all tyres on her adapted buggy. They completed both jobs quickly and very reasonably. The staff are polite and helpful. Hi, I would like to thank the team at Bike town for their assistance on Saturday. I went to the shop originally looking for advice about a Turbo Trainer. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, they offered me a free place at the Fix your own Bike workshop. They followed up my booking with an email and a phone call, that is good service. The Fix your own Bike workshop is a free service that the shop offers, unbelievable but true. On the day the staff introduced themselves and asked how they could assist me. They guided me through how to fix and replace parts, using the shops technical tools. The staff’s friendliness and technical knowledge can not be praised enough. I was able to buy any parts i required from the shop. This is an absolute gem of a shop, hidden in Rutherglen. Keep up the great work.

Was recently stuck in an awkward situation as: Just bought a brand new full suspension bike from a bike retailer down the South which is 200miles away from where I stay. Unfortunately the size come too small even I did pick up the bike in person - though only notice soon while I left the shop and in riding. With numerous contacts with the retailer & even the manufacturer regarding the exchange & return, they were try to kick the ball each other and the excuse was simple as: the bike's been ridden. With the fear that this could be ends at I spent over £2,300 on the bike that I cannot ride, I take the bike to my local bike shop- Camglen for advice. Andy was very attentive. He had viewed the bike and me been riding on it, then gave me all he thinking at the time with no bias. I feel that was exactly what I need at the time! That is such a supportive & encouragement that you would expecting from you local bike shop! I know what I should do next, so as you.

A great local resource. I needed a full service on bike as I had done a lot of miles. The staff very knowledgeable. Andy talked me through what needed done and why, he also gave me a rough idea of things to watch out for and that may eventually would need done. I really appreciated the tips on simple things I could do to maintain the bike. The cost of service was very reasonable and definitely bang for your buck. First trip out on bike after service was like riding a new bike. Excellent. Would definitely recommend .

Went along today to possibly get a few repairs done on a bike that was picked up at a car boot sale. Spoke to Paul who was very helpful and informative about what was needed for the repairs. After much thought and consideration I decided to donate the bike and upgrade to a brand new one instead. My choice no pressure from Paul who was very knowledgeable and friendly about what type of bike would suit me best. This place is a bike persons paradise with all types of bikes, accessories and equipment needed for cyclists. Would strongly recommend you go here first and never mind the Halfords and other large companies let’s keep the small businesses with the most knowledgeable staff in business.

I took my 2 year old son in to see if any bikes were available. My son was so excited when they brought one out from round the back.... they had the bike serviced and ready within the day. The staff then fitted the bike to allow him to ride it straight away. We have had the bike for about 2 weeks now and its like a brand new bike and my son is on it nearly every day at the moment!

Turned up here after viewing the disappointing selection at Halfords. The showroom was well organised and covid guidelines were being thoroughly followed. There was absolutely no pressure from any of the staff to buy anything, they were very accommodating and supremely friendly. Rode away on my new bike which I entirely adore. I had pretty much a full drive train rebuild on my Fuji Cx bike done by Paul and the team at Camglen and I can't speak highly enough of them. The groupset on my bike is all pretty expensive and hard to source in the UK, and without being asked they structured the labour charges (putting it through as a service and minimal extra time) in an extremely generous way. The workmanship was to a very high standard - it's been like having a brand new bike. Paul (the mechanic who worked on my bike) called me to keep me updated as to what parts were required and what the cost would be. Once the job was done he also called just to chat everything over after I'd been in to pick it up as he wasn't front of shop when I got it back. Above and beyond! Much appreciated - would definitely recommend and will certainly be back in the (hopefully not to near!) future. Cheers, Mike

Really friendly and helpful staff. High quality servicing and repairs and will give you a comprehensive but fair diagnosis of any work needing done. Good selection of refurbished bikes for sale and decent selection of parts & accessories. Great place.

What a place an absolute wee gem right on my doorstep. If Halfords, Evan's and any of the numerous bike shops want to see how it should be done go to camglen. I spoke to Paul who sorted my gears out today. I say again I spoke to Paul about my bike he engaged in a full conversation with me. He explained what he was got do for me and spent time through some tips on riding techniques to reduce wear on my cassette and chain rings. Gail showed me round explaining the environment friendly ethos of camglen. Personal service at the very best. Reasonable pricing for quality work,service and products. Anything you need for cycling anything you want to know about cycling you will find here. Definitely recommend to my wee bike group.

This shop and their staff are great, I needed by repeat puncture looked at, rely on my bike for getting me to work. They seen it straight away and also serviced the brakes and gears. As I work in the nhs they did this for free and gave me a helmet, lights and reflector jacket! I can't thank you enough, it's truly appreciated and puts a smile of my face in these times :)

My bike is going like new again after a bronze service, rides great. Very helpful staff, reasonable price and quickly turned round in challenging times will come back again for sure. Keep up the good work.

Great to see a shop like this in rutherglen. They have lots of bikes to choose from. Knowledgeable friendly staff and also run bike ralated activities- rides, lessons and I was particularly impressed to see they offer a service to encourage you to use your bike to get to work. A member of staff will come and cycle your route with you to increase your confidence!

Took my bike in for some maintenance and repairs after an accident, staff were lovely and kept me in the loop. Pricing was very reasonable and they got the job done quickly!
