Great service from start to finish.
Took bikes to our accommodation for the price of fuel and kept to specified times. Genuinely passionate about bikes and the outdoors.
We hired two electric bikes for getting around locally from Pittentrail. Cycled the back road to Golspie, amazing cycle and also the back road to Brora. This again a lovely bike road with beautiful changing scenery. The first day we cycled to Lairg and then onto Loch Shin, pretty sure we could have carried on cycling to Sandwood Bay.
Definitely will be back next year, plan some bike hikes. Perhaps look at exploring Glen Loth and climbing Ben Kilbreck. Better keep that quiet though as Alison doesn’t know!! Pretty boring climb with great views on top though. My only advice though is keep off the A9 and get to appreciate the true Highlands by going off the beat and track.

I hired a hybrid bike with chunky tyres to access some very remote hills via Land Rover tracks. The bike was excellent, perfect for my need. Chris was extremely helpful and gave good advice, and was happy for me to drop the bike back after normal hours. Good value too.

Amazing place, literally saved our Bike trip, rear deraileur had snapped off, and they somehow with a second hand part fixed the bike good as new. On his day off, and on paternity leave, Chris Bowden, Thanks again you legend!

Monday 21st July 2014 I was taking part in a 1300km Audax round Scotland. 4.5 days of oppresive heat and steep climbs, 24 hours rides and little slep inbetween. The previous day I'd thrown three spokes just north of Ullapool and had called the shop for help, after google suggested it in searches for cycle shops in Ullapool. Chris was very helpful giving me the number of a bike hire shop in Ullapool. This was a prelude, where others would have just said I'm not in Ullapool, and hung up. Unable to get Ullapool hire guy I managed to replace 2/3 spokes and true the wheel enough to limp on. Skip on 335km, and my wheel was still not right, and I was nursing the wheel round the Dornoch Firth and falling behind schedule. In Ardguy we come across Heaven Bikes still open at 18:20! In we pop and enquire about a cassette removal and respoke. "Sure" says Chris Bowden, "it will probably take ~40 mins to do, as it was a rear wheel". So past closing time, Chris got to work to re spoked the wheel and true it, fixing the dishing also, after my bodge in the middle of nowhere, 30 hours and ~300km earlier. From then on the wheel was ACE, it still is as it stils back at my home as I was able to carry on the further 370km to the end of the Highlander Audax finishing at 8pm Fri 25th July.
Where other establishments selling food etc.. had been obstructive, and unable to acomodate a couple of hungry cyclists with things like, "hurry ording food we're closing NOW!", Chris' attitude was exceptional. Nothing appeared to be a problem. He was all smiles, and only too happy to remain open, way after he normally closes, to help us out. For this I'me very grateful and can't sing his praises high enough! Also two other cyclists riding north on their LEJoG, called in with a similar problem. Chris was unfazed and just asked them to bring in the wheel while he finished off mine.
I've since found out Chris hires bikes out and is a keen rider also. On our continuation he caught up with us on his evening commute home and gave us a mini guided tour to the point where we parted company. Chris deserves 15/10 for attitude, and the willingness to go way beyond what you would expect from a small local bike shop.
Thanks Chris, you saved and helped to make the ride for me.
