Hired an e-bike and panniers for two weeks. I could make a rond trip for 650 kilometer, FW to Oban, Mull, Tobermory, Kilchoan, Mallaig, Longboisdale, Lochmaddy, then off to Skye, Uig, Portree, Dunvegan, Broadford, Armandale Mallaig, Glenfinnan en back to FW. Had no issues whatsoever with the bike. Added a little bit of air in the tires on South Uist. Had the greatest time ever and best holiday in years!!!!

We had a great experience at Off Beat Bikes today. Arrived late at Fort William with a worn out cassette, and we were glad to find the store as they exchanged the cassette fast and reliable for a new one, even shortly before their closing time (Thanks again, Sam!). The bicycle shop looked also nice, and the women in the shop were very friendly, too! All in all, I recommend the store to everyone in or around Fort William. If I am ever back in the region, I will definitely come back!

Came here with a broken spoke they hadn’t got in stock. They contacted Nevis Bikes who had the right size, sent me to them to buy the spoke there and told me to come back with it: They fixed it within an hour. That was a really good service for someone who is touring Scotland by bike. I’d recommend that shop/bike mechanic to anybody: helpful and professional, friendly.

Three age 70ish couples from the USA rented e bikes from Off Beat for a 10 day tour through the Isle of Mull and the Ardnamurchan peninsula. The upfront email consultation with Nix was timely and helpful. The staff fitted our bikes well and thoroughly explained the battery system to e novices. such a great experience! came up to fort william in desperate search of a bike repair shop, it was only a small job, but other bike shops in the area had a backlog of 5 weeks and we needed something done in less than 30 minutes. we ended up at offbeat bikes at about half 4, half an hour before they were due to close. we walked in and we’re greeted by lewis (absolute legend) who told us he could quick in our bike and get it done it 20 minutes. he went above and beyond and even ran a little bit into closing time.we walked out with a fixed bike, and having paid a very reasonable price. all the staff at the shop were extremely helpful and kind and we honestly cannot thank lewis enough. thanks guys will be returning !!

Fantastic service, well organized, and had great resources for our planning of a ride. They had helmets available plus a tool kit& pump for bikes. My wife rented a fantastic mountain Ebike which was a superb option for keeping up with me for the whole day, grateful we could ride together! If you want your own cleats/ shoes - bring them with you Don’t forget your water bottle! Lots of gear items available in their well stocked shop. Great day out on Off Beat bikes. We rented 11 bikes from Off Beat - 10 e mtbs and 1 non electric. Our group were novices apart from a couple of us but we still had an amazing day out, helped by wall to wall sunshine and 360 degree sunny views. The e bikes allowed everyone to ride and enjoy the day despite varying degrees of fitness. During the day, one of us had problems with their motor and we rang the shop and they arranged to meet us ten mins further down the road and swapped bikes, bringing a new one out to us in their van. All in all a great day. Would recommend

These wonderful and friendly people rescued my LEJOG schedule. My heavily laden bike had led to the spokes on my rear wheel loosening, and if I was to finish, let alone finish on schedule, I needed a new wheel or - better - the 13 gauge spokes re-tensioning. Rescheduling would have been very difficult; accommodation north of Fort William is largely booked in May. Repairs later would have been extremely tricky; cycle shops between Fort William and John o Groats are few and far between. With no notice, Off Beat Bikes re-tensioned the wheel in less than two hours. The wheel stopped clicking, and I finished my end to end ride on schedule. Thank you!

After a slight mishap on the way to Fort William today I managed to completely buckle my rear wheel. Luckily we were advised Offbeat Cycle shop would sort us out. We lost the nut off one of our wheel spindles on our 40 mile cycle trip to Fort William, which we were able to patch repair only just enough to complete the journey. Arriving in Fort William we went to Off Beat cycles who were very helpful and found and fitted a spare nut so we could continue safely on our trip. The guy who served us even tightened the other spindles to make sure we didn’t have any more problems. The staff there are so kind and helpful and we couldn’t recommend them enough.

Super helpful staff - I was passing by on a 5-day bike trip and had a clicky pedal from forgetting to grease the threads. They quickly greased the pedal and the problem was solved. They've also got some mini-tubs of chamois cream if you need an emergency supply.

Cracked my carbon rim a few weeks back at fort william. Came into the shop and spoke with a really helpful and friendly mechanic called Cal. Unfortunately not able to do a rim swap as understandably it was the weekend and so they were super busy, however despite that he did get a new wheel on and sorted within an hour. I was on holiday, cycling through Scotland, and my front gear didn't work well (chain ran off frequently), but we had another 35 km planned that day. The guys at the shop were super helpful, sorted it out for us quickly while recommending a great spot for Fish and Chips with a beer while waiting for the adjustment!
